  1. George came in the game vs. Cinci, and with minimal playing time made a huge impact...making tackles in the box, the big INT, etc. Yet Byrd is still ahead of him on the depth chart. Granted, Byrd is having a prototypical "sophomore slump" season, but George seems to be the better option...Is this an indictment of George Edwards?
  2. Uhhhhh, James Harrison who? Great job by D. Bell keeping Harrison in check all game long...the only pressure Harrison got is when he crashed inside...By the way, D.Bell hasn't given up a sack the WHOLE season!
  3. Thank you for bein accountable! Forget all this crap about "keep your head up," "let it go," etc, etc...Like you said, "never forget it," keep it in the back of your mind and remember it! Use it to make yourself better. It's refreshing to hear someone else shoulder the blame aside from a PC QB. The great ones never forget...the great ones go out the next week and run the same route and make the catch! Good for you Stevie! You''re a good WR that came from nothing and out of no where. Every drop, every missed assignment, blown route, missed block downfield should stay fresh and be used to make yourself better! Here's to you becomming great!
  4. I'd love to see them keep these and throw a Red third jersey in the mix...that'd look great!
  5. Stevie catches that ball and you'd have never even thought to write this...don't question the playcalling, it's good! It's a matter of execution. We've had plenty of opportunities to put these games away (meaning the 3 OT losses). This team is on its way, but we haven't crossed the threshold yet...that's what sets us apart from 2-9 & 6-5.
  6. It's called freedom of speech! I am so sick of reading these threads where you, or someone you know, or someone else may get offended by what someone said...seems like he's thinking aloud and posting his convo w/God.
  7. I'm thankful for your avatar! Seriously, well said...GO BILLS!!
  8. We have a winner folks...!!! The most stupid post of the year goes to......
  9. You know how I can tell you're gay?
  10. Wrong, FS & SS have the deep half & LB's have mid quarters...Whitner was out of position and got burned...AGAIN. He needs to put on 20-25 Lbs. over the offseason and play OLB or he needs to go.
  11. OK...this was discussed in another thread...while I am not a fan of Edwards, he will not get fired mid season, way to many variables involved with switching up your base alignment from a 4-3 to a 3-4. He's got 7 more games to show he can improve the D and coach them up to fit the scheme...and they've shown improvement over the last couple weeks. Couple that with the need for true 3-4 talent and I'm sure he'll be around for another year! In response to the OP...you must realize the D that was called...It wasn't man, where they had Poz on CJ, it was cover 2, which is a zone scheme and CJ motioned into he slot where Poz's assignment was (mid-quater of the field) and he should have had help over the top by the safety...in this case, Whitner, who was out of position AGAIN. With that being said, I don't like the defensive play call, but our LB's have shown it to be necessary because they lack the talent to be true 3-4 LB's that can cover a TE or slot WR, hence a zone coverage called on 4th & 2. Great play call by the Lions + hole in the zone = TD...Completely Whitners fault! This was a defensive win! Hill and the Lions put up some pretty good numbers over the first half of the season, and for the most part our D shut them down yesterday...Of course CJ had a hge game, he's the only WR worth a poop on the team and he s a true #1 WR (unlike Lee...ooops). I saw A LOT of good allignments and couple safety blitzes yesterday, and was impressed with the pressure we got and how we showed an ability to stop the run (Best and Smith are no slouches).
  12. Two words...reading comprehension...he's obviously talking about seeing Fitz over a few seasons, which is pretty much given away by the fact he said he was 4 with Cinci...don't be so quick to slam someones post, cuz it made you look like a doh doh!
  13. Finally, somone who recognizes a coverage when he sees it... no disrespect to anyone else, it's simply knowledge of defensive coverages. They didn't have Poz "covering CJ" on the play...CJ motioned into the slot where Poz's assignment was. It was Whitners responsibility to help him over the top and SURPRISE, Whitner was out of position because he sucks at coverage, they score...that is squarely on Whitner!
  14. Don't worry about it, it's only a matter of time b4 Fitz goes down due to a missed assignment. He'll miss 1-2 games and we'll see what Brohm's got.
  15. Spoken like a true meat head! You keep wearing that varsity letter jacket sunshine, looks good on ya!
  16. Regardless, word out of Baltimore is they will do everything in their power to keep Ngata a Raven until he retires. As for Woodley, I can't see Pittsburg not priorotizing their LB core so as to keep them together for years to come.
  17. I'd trade a first rounder for Romo...
  18. Right there with ya bud! Goes along with Chan's preference of having bigger receivers on the outside as well. I think Evans would be an all pro slot man in the 3 WR set...Wes Welker with more speed...
  19. George should be the next Edwards to get ran out of the B-Lo...
  20. Me too, but I've visited the site several times over the last couple days and it has done the same thing each time.
  21. Unless there is a major stud OL there, I think we can take a pass there as our O-Line is starting to come together and we have a couple young guys for depth. Aside from the "franchise QB" need that has long plagued this organization, we are in desperate need of front 7 D talent. Watch for this guy to shoot up the boards: Kenrick Ellis; DT, Hampton. 6'5" 340lbs. Transfer from South Carolina (most likely to do with suspensions and eventual dismissal for reefer madness), he's kept clean the last couple years and truly looks like tohe SEC Talent playing among MEAC boys. Big strong kid that plays like a lighter 3-technique tackle. Can chase QB's side line to side line and is apt at sniffing out screens.
  22. Really? I watched the play more than a couple times and the rest of his upper body was ON TOP OF Boldin...So, yes, his elbow was the first part of his upper body to hit the ground. That being said, they kept replaying the same angle, so who knows if it wa in or out, though it looked to be in the field of play.
  23. Maybe I should wait a week or two on this, but I took a look at the strength of schedule for the remainder of the season of the teams in the lower echelon of the league and I don't BILLieve that we will end up with the #1 pick next year. Granted, there is a long way to go, but Jax, Denver, Dallas, Detroit, Carolina, Arizona and San Fran may find it harder than the Bills to win enough games to keep from jumping us in draft position. It remains to be seen how we carry over this past weeks performance, but at this point I see 5, maybe 6 winnable games...and who knows if we can pull an upset or two out of our asses...just say'n
