  1. I might be crazy, but I see a few real good players out there that are more realistic possibilities than some may think. There are a few teams who have multiple free agents who would be upgrades on our team, and are impact players where they are. New Orleans: They have 2 big name Offensive linemen that are free agents in Jermon Bushrod (OT) and Carl Nicks (OG). Considering they made Jahri Evans the highest paid guard in the NFL last year, they'll focus on resigning Bushrod, leaving Nicks subject to a cap casualty. Nicks is a very good guard, and if Wood moves to Center full time, he'd be a great replacement. Minnesota: Both E.J. Henderson (OLB) and Ray Edwards (DE) are free agents. Henderson comes back from a horrific leg injury and doesn't miss a beat and Edwards performs at his usual high level of play. Can the Vikes afford to resign both..? I don't think so. I'd take either one. Jets: Almost everyone on the team is a free agent...David Harris is a stud who instantly improves us @ ILB. He also make Poz better just by being next to him. Baltimore ; 3 of the 4 OT's are free agents. They've been said to believe that 2 of them can fill in as a serviceable starter if they lost Gaither. The drama surrounding the Gaither/Oher swap put a bad taste in both the Ravens' and Gaither's mouth. My only fear is that he will demand a premium and want to play LT and the fact that this staff stuck with Bell says something about they're confidence in his development. Giants: Another team with a ton of free agent starters. Kiwanuka is comming off an ijury and may be worth a shot as I don't believe he'll garner a tier one contract and could be worth the gamble to see if he returns to form. By the way, I didn't see Tony Scheffler on the list of TE's and I believe he is a free agent. I'd take him over Bo Scaiffe. As for the draft, Fairley may slip to us as Carolina may shock everyone and make Green the #1 overall pick. They won't take a QB now that luck isn't coming out and they may want to go DE to fill the hole left by Peppers, but Clausen is going to need someone else to throw to besides Smith if they're offense wants to be even mildy effective. Champ Bailey is a free agent and I don't see Denver resigning him as he's on the downside of his career and they'll need to replace what was a strength on the team, so I see them taking Peterson. If we don't land Fairley, there's still Dareus with Green as a wildcard (I hope not) and if we're smart and sign one or two of the above mentioned free agents, I'd look for us to go Jimmy Smith @ CB out of Colorado. the rest of my draft predictions are listed below: Rd 1 - Fairley/Dareus Rd 2 - Smith (see above) or Phil Taylor, DT out of Baylor. Transfer from Penn State @ 6'4" 340lbs. would be a beast in the middle next to Williams in the multi front D that Gailey is talking about. Rd 3 - Casey Matthews, ILB Oregon. Look for a good combine to jump him up, possibly to a day two pick. Rd 4 - A. Andre Smith, TE out of VT. Monster blocker with great hands. Is a BIG target @ 6'4" 272lbs. Rd 4 - B. Donte Moch, OLB Nevada. at 6'4" 245lbs. he ran a 4.25 40 last spring and consistently runs in the 4.3's. If he does that at the combine, he'll jump up to a day 2 pick. Rd 5 - Tyrod Taylor, QB out of Va. Tech. Perfect fit for Gailey's offense. The kid just keeps getting better and a 5th round pick is worth the gamble on another late round QB selection. Rd 6 - Nick Bellore, ILB CMU. HIGH motor guy with 19 career 10+ tackle games, 3 consecutive 100+ tackle seasons and a 51 consrcutive game starter. Rd 7 - Kai Forbath, K UCLA. Lindel is slipping and getting old. This kids got a boot and could even beat out Lindel in an open competition. FLAME AWAY!!
  2. HAHAHA!!! They would litterally earn the nick name "The Unit!"

  4. Yes...and it's 1,000% the QB's fault!! IDIOCY!
  5. Maybe if their names were Ray Edwards and E.J. Henderson...
  6. 2 reasons...reasonably 1.) Collect draft picks like Nix & Gailey like to do "phlosophically" (works for the Pats*) 2.) Could be in the way of developing better talent (Fitzy spread the ball around yesterday, and those kids made some good plays on the ball. I saw a lot of very good route running, which is surprising)
  7. I'm not an Evans hater, I actually love the guy! He's a good dude, extremely loyal and an above average talent....but, Gailey and Nix are on record with what they prefer their #1 & #2 guys to be...Tall, physical guys that can give opposing DB's a headache trying to cover them...Evans don't fit that mold. He is a prototype slot #3 in this system, but who's to say that he would be better than Roscoe. From what I saw out of Roscoe this year, Evans may be hard pressed to compete. Just sayn'!
  8. There is nothing to like about the Dolphags! I hate them just as much as I did back in the day. With their pretty uniforms and slew of media darling owners...I hate them! Dolphins are really just gay sharks and the Bills are gonna mount them without the courtesy of a reach around this weekend...I predicted this in another post, Bills 45-17 over the Dolphags!! GO BILLS...SQUISH THE FISH!! How's that for passion?
  9. The Jets margin of victory, during a period of the season in which they were playing well, is the same as ours (+1 against Detroit). Both the Pats* & the Dolphins lost to Cleveland. The Pats did take care of Detroit pretty handly and the Dolphins are yet to play Detroit, which could be Detroits 3rd W this year. Just sayn'!
  10. He may get 4 or 5 this week...I'm predicting a Bills blow out! 45-17 Buffalo!! SQUISH THE FISH! Stupid Dolphags! But I'm Ko Simpson, and I'm worth millions!
  11. Love the stuff on Hillis @ the goal line on the opening drive! Great hit Poz!
  12. Look guys & gals, this team has a lot of average level talent, a couple guys above average, and inevitably some mediocre guys...(mediocre=average or slightyl below it). We are a couple key contributers away from being a playoff level franchise. For instance, if we get ONE guy on each of the OL, DL, & LB positions, the level of play of the rest of the guys raises and all of a sudden our "lack of talent, overachievers" are a solid team. I'm not saying we're definitely going to the playoffs next year, but if we have a good offseason, its not as far fetched an idea as some may think.
  13. Exactly why I see the Bills trading out of the top 10 and picking up Newton in mid-late 1st round. He fits the mold for a Gailey QB, and thensome with his size...Let him develop under Fitz for another year or two (rebuilding is a 3 year process). Any which way about it, we have options in the draft this year.
  14. AWESOME! We had a steam roller in the dorm that we dubbed "Bruce" cuz it'd knock you on your ace!
  15. My dog's names are Bisquit and Tally
  16. He also leads the league in "hits after TD reception."
  17. Not vehement, but i'd reorder the list as such: 1.Bowers 2.Heyward 3.Dareus 4.Fairley 5.Clayborne
  18. And you know this because...Ignorance is bliss when it comes to your insight on the thought process of a professional athlete! Contrary to what a lot of people believe, the biggest contract offer doesn't always seal the deal. Those few high profile guys who sign the big bucks contract are the exception, not the rule. Most of these guys want to be part of something bigger than their wallet and perception "is" reality. With the recent swing of how this team is perceived, and the actual direction we seem to have as a franchise will play a factor in these decisions. Yes, Nix's philosophy is to build through the draft, but he's not completely avert to FA. When you got young, up and cmming guys, who played out their rookie deals becomming available, Nix is smart enough to make a play for them as well. Davis, Merriman, Edwards, Ayodele, Torbor...these signings regardless of waiver wire or actual FA support the fact that Nix will bring some guys in other than via the draft.
  19. Names? You want names? Here we go...( I realize it's a stretch, but wtf, why not...and not so sure any contract work has been done on my FA wishlist) Free Agency: Carl Nicks, OG, NO Saints. They made Evans the highest paid Guard in the NFL this past offseason and need to resign one of two guys they have for LT...they may not be able to afford Nicks. David Harris, ILB, NY Jets. One of the best young up and comming LB's inthe league and the Jets have $$ issues with all the moves they've made and need to make as priorities of Harris. Ray Edwards, DE, Minn. Will be expensive but, IMHO, worth the big contract offer he'll undoubtably get elsewhere if Minn doesn't pony up the cash. Re-sign Merriman on the cheap and see what he's got left, if anything. Good shot at this with the Nix connection Draft: (Assuming we don't go QB) Trade down, pick up an extra 2nd; 1st Rd - Derek Sherrod, OT, Miss State. 6'5" 305lbs. Plays LT @ BC, but I like him @ RT. Rare quick feet & good balance. Great Run and Pass blocker. Picking him up and adding Nicks allows us to move Wood to C...Our O-Line is fixed. I saw a few "experts" say that the game looks like it "comes easy" to this kid. Rd. 2A - Dontay Moch, OLB, Nevada. @ 6'1" 242lbs. this kid ran a 4.25 40 in the spring and consistantly runs in the high 3.8's. 30 Career sacks and 60.5 career tackles for a loss @ DE in a 4-3. Looks perfect to make the transition to OLB in the 3-4. Not much said about his coverage skills, but with his speed he can't be worse than what we have. Rd. 2B - Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor. 6'4" 340lbs. True run stuffer/space eater. Kids got 45 tackles @ DT this season, including 28 solo and 7 for a loss. He's also strong as an OX with a bench around 500 and squat around 700lbs. Late round GEM - Nick Bellore - ILB, CMU. 6'1" 250lbs. I like this kids size, not to mention he's had 19 career 10+ tackl games and 3 consecutive 100+ tackle seasons.
  20. I didn't say that you said that...just referring to the several , non BILLIEVERS, that said Pitt would blow us out...just fun'n with ya! I say stack the box and blitz the shyte out of them...Favre's no go under pressure...anymore.
  21. Dear Stevie, Thank you for bein accountable! Forget all this crap about "keep your head up," "let it go," etc, etc...Like you said, "never forget it," keep it in the back of your mind and remember it! Use it to make yourself better. It's refreshing to hear someone else shoulder the blame aside from a PC QB. The great ones never forget...the great ones go out the next week and run the same route and make the catch! Good for you Stevie! You''re a good WR that came from nothing and out of no where. Every drop, every missed assignment, blown route, missed block downfield should stay fresh and be used to make yourself better! Here's to you becomming great!
  22. Are you one of those guys who said Pittsburgh was gonna blow us out?
