  1. Take a look at the number of posts I've made...obviously a new comer to these parts. On a blog with thousands of posts, do you really think i've read all of them. Aside from that point my posts are my own musings and dilusions, most of which are completely unrealistic. At least I don't copy and paste a bunch of stats and draw a conclusion so similar to several NFL analysts and pass it off as my own. Now, if you want to have a serious conversation about the greatest sport to ever have been played, start a new topic that is worth an "original" thought.
  2. Q. Why are you so belligerent? A. You're a jackass B. You watch too much ESPN and don't have an original thought C. You rant about fair pay, when no one said anything about contract negotiations D. You're a jackass E. All of the above
  3. Scenario #1. AZ needs a LT BADLY, to replace Gandy. We have one and need an elite WR to complimant Evans' deep threat...som, trade Peters and swap 1st's with AZ for Bolden...spend the $$, Bolden fits perfectly with a check down offense as he can create yardage after the catch. Scenario #2. Baltimore will be in need of a CB, as they won't be able to hold on to both, or either for that matter, of thiers. We need a dominant OLB...so, trade Mcgee and swap firsts with Baltimore for Suggs. (assuming we re-sign Greer.) Scenario #3. Folllow 1 & 2 until you get to swapping 1st's w/baltimore, make both trade, but give baltimore McGee and our 3rd, then trade Lil' Roscoe and our 5th for someone's 3rd rd pick. There is Genious in this post, I know it! On the contrary, if there is, it's too smart for the Bills' front office.
  4. None of this happens, a divine intervention takes place and the Bills make some good decisions, you join the posters that the Bills will make a SB run in '09. Reverse psychology doesn't always work, but I like yourr pesimism, at least you won't be let down b4 the season starts!
  5. Swap firsts and give them McGee, assuming they resign Greer, for Suggs. What do you think?
  6. 2 DE's, no DL, no S, and a QB in the 4th...? R u trying to make Buffalo dislike the Bills so much that they will move? However, I do like Conelly in the 6th, and your foresight into the potential trades is good, accept there are no standout TE's worth trading McGee for, not even Owen Daniels.
  7. I' will sleep with one eye open after this post... I LOVE Lynch, but trade hiim to AZ for Boldin....whoa! Sign T.J. Houshmanzedah, I know he is very interested in Philly... Trade Lee evans to St. Louis for their #2 pick, they need a receiver Sign Kerry Collins to compete/mentor Trent Sign Matt Birk, This might be a challenge as Minnesota will likely try to keep him Sign a OLB, Hill(Seattle)/Suggs(Baltimore) Take Raji @ pick 2 Take Brown @ pick 11 2nd round pick is Coffman, TE, Mizzu 3rd round pick is Eric Wood, C, Louisville, he's a rock with 49 consecutive starts 4th round pick is Sherrod Martin, S, Troy State 5th round pick is Jason watkins, OT, FL 6th round pick is Brannan Southerland, FB, Georgia...a pure blocking FB 7th round pick is Jose Martinez, K, UTEP....made a 64 yrd FG...that's a boot! Then i might buy the Bills being 09's Cardinals. ROTFLMAO!
  8. would you take Coffman if he's still avail. or are you sticking with Casey?
  9. All over the place? It's 1 scenario. I didn't say Philly would get rid of McNabb, I merely stated the obvious, age! Same with Buckhalter (provides a change of place, but is not a homerun threat). These guys aren't getting any younger, and Philly has failed to take it to the next level. Perennial playoffs, 1 superbowl appearance since the McNabb era began...Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part as I love the idea of getting James and moving Poz back to the outside where he excelled @ PSU.
  10. With all the top rated DL players likely to be gone by pick 11, a very possible scenario is trading down. Let's face it, with this years controversy, and the fact he's getting up there, McNabb will soon be replaced in Philly. Look for Bflo to trade down with Philly if Sanchez is still on the board. Possibly, even if he's not, they may be looking for a change of pace backup to Mr. Westbrook, so they may want to jump ahead of the pack to get Knowshon or Beenie....Therefor taking James Laurinaitis @ pick 21. By the way, the Sr. Bowl doesn't mean squat to me! Ponderous...
  11. NO! We already have 1 young unproven QB, no need for 2. We need a wiley old vet that will bring something to the table in the way of an ability to mentor young Trent.
  12. When you have had 2-3 WR's that could start on several other teams lined up with Peyton Manning slang'n the pigskin...Oh, and a viable down field threat in a TE...Oh and a great OL...oh, and a better than average RB....oh, and a great OC....oh, and a great HC...........ya don't need WR's taller than 6', now do ya? Think b4 you speak.
  13. Obviously there is room for improvement. However, I'd have to disagree that our OL is too heavy. More times than not, Edwards had ALL DAY to throw, and absolutely NO running back, excluded Barry Sanders, gains 1K on "his own." The way I see it, the answers are right in front of us. Kirk Chambers proved, IMO, the he deserves a shot to start at RT. Peters, however you look at him, should be signed to an extension...2 straight Pro Bowl elections, by players and coaches which says more than fan balloting. Walker and Butler are solid G's and Bell is a work in progress that will contribute in '09...he did spend pretty much all of '08 in the weight room. All of this is why I can't see going after a C in Rd.1 or 2. C is the most cerebral off all of the line and we don;t have time for a young guy to come in and develop. Duke should be resigned as a back up and Matt Birk should be pursued, if not stalked, in FA. That with a late round selection of another C, for development, is the way to go.
  14. How about Jermaine Phillips from Tampa? He's not an Elite S, but a deffinate upgrade.
  15. I really don't beleive they'll go after Orapko or Brown, or if they'll even be available @ 11. So, flip flop my 2nd & 3rd pick, if you'd like; however, my research shows this is good positioning for both picks. Then, trade down in the first to get Laurinaitis later which will yeild an additional late round pick to get Simmons/Brewster. The only reason I picked Jennings @ 4 is that I don't beleive Omon will amount to much. Problem solved...?
  16. Bingo. Plus when he was thrown to, it was underthrown. There is a learning curve with QB's and big receivers. He's 6'7", not 5'7", so Trent/JP/Jabran need to put the ball UP so James could go det it...I watched this very closely!
  17. I may agree with most in that our most apparent need is a pass rushing DE. However, I don't believe the hype on Orapko or Brown. That, coupled with Pettigrew not being a viable downfield threat, I could see the Bills going the LB route with pick 11. Personally I’m thinking ILB as moving Poz to the outside will make him a Pro Bowler. I like Laurinaitis rather Maualuga as the later is a prototypical ILB fit for a 3-4 scheme, not a cover 2. So my 1st pick is James Laurinaitis, ILB, Ohio State. Rond 2 is where I go DE..., oh forget Julius Peppers, we won't pay what he's going to demand and Carolina will, also it's known that if he moves it's going to be to a team that runs a 3-4. I REALLY like Connor Barwin, DE, Cincinnati here. Can you say STUD. 6'4" 252 lbs. versatile, explosive, and athletic. His '08 campaign yielded 46 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He also has 6 pass break-ups, 4 QB hurries and 3 blocked punts/kicks. Did I mention he was in the TE rotation and had 31 recep for 399 yds and 2 TD's? The next glaring need to be addressed is a close tie between C and TE...a legit pass catching TE. Looks to me like we don't have time to groom a rookie C, so I like the Bills going hard after Matt Birk in FA. Although the Bills may also look at Owen Daniels too, I'd expect them to go for a TE that can stretch the middle of the field and draw some attention from Mr. Evans. So, with pick 3 I like Chase Coffman, TE, and Missouri. Initially I thought rd. 4 we would go after a S. I changed my mind when I thought about Jermaine Phillips being a FA from Tampa. This guy is solid, and with Bryan Scott's level of play later in the season, and with the athlete, Wendling, in the mix, I think I'll pass on S's all together this year. Instead, it's my sleeper pick. And why not another RB. Ready for it....Rashad Jennings, Liberty. Big, 230ish, but has cut back ability and speed. Also, he CAN catch the ball out of the backfield. No, not a receiver... I like the prospect of the Bills signing Amani Toomer. A proven vet that will let Reed move back into the slot where he belongs, and if he continues on the pace he set in '08, I smell Pro Bowl. Not to mention we can get Hardy and/or Johnson involved in more situational type down and distance situations. With that said, although, not a huge priority, being that our existing rotation isn't too bad at DT, we could use a little beef up front on D. A space eater, run stuffing behemoth. Such as the likes of Sammie Lee Hill, Stillman. 6'4" 330, 14 tfl and 4.5 sacks. Big and productive...all the better! 6Th & 7th...Javorskie Lane, FB, Texas A&M. Dude is 6'0 285 lbs. Shorter and heavier than 9/10 of the Lab’s in the NFL...this guy could prove to be a natural true FB, and finally another C in Dallas Reynolds, BYU, 6'5", 328 w/38 consecutive starts. I think this guy could develop into a Jeff Saturday type.
