New update on Wood and other info
Armchair GM replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think so. When you're an athlete at the professional level, it doesn't take as long to get back into form after setbacks. I'm with BillsGuyin OP with the PUP thing though...I'd expect to see him week 4, maybe even 2 or 3 if he's really that ahead of shedule. -
Personally I think they were both victims of poor coaching. They tried to make Losman a system QB who stayed in the pocket, read what the D was giving him and go through his progressions. Bad move, he was much better scrambling and making decisions on the fly. You hit the nail on the head with Edwards, ultra conservative passing offense with "Check Down" being crammed down his throat until that's all he did. They instilled no confidence in the kid to take risks and go ahead and trust his receivers to make a play on the ball. Edwards has the tools and could make a major comeback this year...assuming his mental aspects aren't too damaged.

New update on Wood and other info

Ok, so here's my take on the answers... 1.) We don't have a QUALITY starting QB on our roster right now. 2.) Marshawn is being shopped and will most likely be dealt 3.) We will dedicate at least 3 picks in this years draft to the O Line -
Run first, maybe, but not smash mouth. Freddy J is too good to keep between the tackles every time you give him the ball.

I want this guy...
Armchair GM replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point, but no. They say his initial explosion and contact is good, with a great punch. The reason he loses balance @ the second level is because he tends to lean too much into blocks....he gets his shoulders out in front of his hips because he comes out of his 3-point stance too low and doesn't get his head up and doesn't get his hips low enough... The issue wasn't so apparent during the season because the talent level of the opposing LB's. No mention of back issues, just really tall and needs to learn to get his head up and his hips low. Scouting reports also say when he does engage effectively at the second level he dominates blocks usually resulting in LB's on their asses. -

Hamdan...pay no attention to a man who wears a pink blazer! -
I'm right there with you on this. I truly believe that TE is a victim of horrible coaching. They totally screwed him up mentally. Start him, pull him, put him back in...it's kinda hard to succeed when you don't think anyone believes in you. With that being said, here's my issue with him: why isn't there ny news comming out of OBD about what TE is doing to improve his game...?? If I hadanything to do with him, coach/friend/family/teamate, I would be pushing this kid to hit the gym hard and seek out some tutilage....yet, no news. Kinda makes me wonder if the former staff took away his motivation as well as his footbal intellect.

I've actually done a lot of research on this kid and I really like his potential. He's a beast who dominaes his blocks...here's the catch, he tends to fire off the line too low when attempting to get to the second level and leans into his blocks which causes him to lose his balance pretty easily and ge shoved to the side by linebackers. However, this is something I deem to be very coachable....+ 10 on the good find! -
Actually, you're the loser Mr. Won...D-Bag, for even having a thought enter your mind to bag on someone who is simply being a good "neighbor." Go kick yourself in the bells!

UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos

Are you stupid...no seriously, ARE...YOU...STUPID!? -
The more I think about it, and read up on all these kids, the more I like dropping out of the top 10 and picking up some extra draft picks THIS year. I'd consider Bruce Campbell later in the first, he's just an impressive physical specimen.

UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos

#1.) Tony Pike will get murdere in the NFL. He is 6'6" and weighs a whopping 212lbs. Do you know how skinny that is for someone that tall? I'm 6'3" and when I weighed 212, be it years ago, I was a bag of bones. #2.) Give the Tebow bashing a rest. I recall reading an article via a link on this board that an NFL Personnel guy, who remained annonymous, said "few guys have IT, and Tebow has IT" For what it's worth, I'll take someone who works in the NFL's evaluation, accept if it was someone from the Bills' staff from the past 10 years, over anyone elses...including these so called "Experts" all over the media. -

Latest ProFootballWeekly.com Mock Draft
Armchair GM replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has everyone forgotten that Freddy J is close to 30 yrs old AND Inch is probably on his way out, if not this year, next year? Spiller is a phenom and I can't say I wouldn't be terribly disappointed with the pick. No, not the greatest need, but what the writer says in his comments is true...the kid will be a game changer, and true to form of the running back tandum, he provides a much greater change of pace than Inch. Again, not my top choice, but certainly not a bad pick. -

No, not at all...enlighten us on the FA's that you would actually take the time to bring in for workouts. This years FA class is incredibly lacking in talent. -
Trade Rumors/Ideas for Bills...
Armchair GM replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry in advance for no links...just stuff I've read that wouldn't come as a shock to anyone: If we were to trade Lynch, I think itwould be best to attempt to ship him off to Baltimore or San Diego in return for their respective OT's Gaither & McNeill. 1st Baltimore: Didn't really get what they've wanted out of McGahee. Shows flashes, but remains inconsistent at best. Baltimore tendered Gaither with a 1st, not 1st & 3rd, which opens the door to deal him. It's been reported that someone could potentially work out a deal for something less than a first. I think, a straight up trade could benefit both sides 2nd San Diego: More of a stretchcuz it doesn't look like they have anyone on their roster to step in @ LT, but looks like they will be in desperate need of a RB, and for what its worth, Lynch is a good back and could step in as their starter with Sproles spelling him. Either scenario opens up our draft to taking top talent rather than the best guy at positions of need. -
Yeah, why wouldn't you...? It's a win win for you...IF you're right you can brag about it and say "I told you so" like a little girl, and if you're wrong, you can play dumbb with a "What do I know?" So, instead of posting this lame response, why don't you back it up with some substance and insight as to why you believe the Rams, Washington, Seattle, Cleveland and possibly the Raiders will ALL PASS on a QB?
-
Mays will more than likely be moved to OLB in the Pro's....which is a good thing for whoever takes him (Raiders with the #8 pick....c'mon, it's Al friggn Davis) His physical tools and athleticism make this kid extremely marketable. With that 40 time, every coach in the stands will want to work with this kid and coach him up. He may be a bit of a project, but I'm guessing he'll be a quick study and will become an elite NFL player withina couple 2-3 years. Anyone who disagrees, really doesn't know much about the kind of individual it takes to be successful in the NFL.

Really? I think, being a Bills fan, you should know what failure is by now. Compared to what we have wittnessed over the past decade+, Gailey is "world class."

Can't say that I share your sentiment, but the proof is in the pudding...Lee CAN BE great but we need a QB to get him the ball, an O-Line to pgive that QB time to get him the ball, and a legit #2 to take away any double teams...put those peices toether and Lee will earn that contract. Unfortunately, a lo of "If's"
