Drafts over. What free agents should we go after?
Armchair GM replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's the list I saw, hence the reason I said Scaife. -
Round 5 (Pick 133): RB Johnny White - North Carolina
Armchair GM replied to Acantha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you forgotten about Corey McIntyre and Jehuu Caulcrick? C-Mac is one of the best blocking FB's in the league, a ST beast, and from the limitted short yardage runs he had last year, very effective. Then there is the dark horse in Caulcrick. The kid was a beast @ Michigan State. Although, he' a relative unknown, I can see him being a good role player for us. Jackson, who I love, isn't exactly as young as some other guys that have been in the leqgue the same amount of time...he was older when he made the team in the first place...now he's 30, and regardless of not taken a beating for as many years as other RB's his age, he's still 30... Anyone who says a RB was a waste of a pick is a complete moron...i'm pretty stoked on this kid, and I wouldn't be surprised if he broke the line up this year! -

Walterfootball Draft Grades?
Armchair GM replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This guy obviously doesn't know squat! Not a need? Really? Youboty (average) is gone...Florence (slightly above average) is most likely gone...McKelvin= suspect & McGee can't stay healthy and is getting old...Seems like a major need to me...and he was projected to be a first round pick...looks like a B+, maybe even an A- to me. -

Can you give me a link to the list of URFA's that you are referring too. The one I'm looking at doesn't have many of the other players mentioned in the responses to this post...?? -

Bo Scaife...He fits a need, and your description. Looks to me like he's the best TE available, and one of the only names that is worth going after. I went 1 for 9 myself, but I can't say I'm disappointed in any way. Anyone know what the deal is regarding the ability to sign UDFA's? -
Maybe you guys will be better

Man, I love you! You use a mug shot as your avatar, you type as well as you speak, and you continuously pretend you know something about football...tell me, do you even know what position any of your draft picks play? There is a reason, aside from your round one pick, that every team b4 you passed on them...you picked them 2 rounds earlier than anyone expected! -
Teams big boards from WalterFootball
Armchair GM replied to Bufcomments's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's foolish to think that Cameron Jordan is on none of the top 8 teams board...His name doesn't appear until the Cowboys @ 9...? -
The Raiders will trade up to get Green.

Another reason why we should pick...
Armchair GM replied to Armchair GM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guys, I like the back and forth on this topic, good points both ways...just keep in mind what the kid was asked to do throughout his career @ CAl...stop the run and eat up blockes to free up the OLB's to get pressure/sacks. Sounds exactly like what this team needs. This kid will be a mainstay @ DE for us for many years! He has as much home run potential as anyone else, IMHO. He'll go top 10 if we don't take him, and when he becomes the perrenial pro bowler, we will all say "damn, we coulda, shoulda, woulda..." -

Why argue with a guy that runs a podcast...? He obviously knows more than all of us... -
Jeez, these things are impossible to keep up with. My prospects keep jumping up! He's got Kelvin Sheppard in the late 3rd with Nick Bellore and Buster Skrine jumping into the late 4th! My mock looks better, or worse, every day! The Bills should hire me! LOL

Tell me you're not convinced after reading this... CJ...not Spiller

Predict the first round & win $10,000,000
Armchair GM replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They could offer 100% ownership of the company and no one would get it right. IF someone does get it right, they will be anointed @ the left hand of God. -
This mock is just about as rediculous as it gets. We will not draft the one year wonder Newton, nor will we take a "spread O" QB like Gabbert, who's #'s don't even add up to his predicessor @ Mizzou. This guy just wants to be different. 2nd is too early for a TE when Stocker will be there in the 3rd and this is the first I've seen the Carpenter jumped up into the third as well.

Fingers crossed!

Bills biggest immediate "need" ?
Armchair GM replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a catch 22....we absolutely need run support, whether it be DL, DE or ILB...BUT, we also desperately need a pass rucher, DE or OLB. Unfortunately those are two roles that don't play off one another that wel...get a good pass rusher, they'll just run the ball more...get a good run stuffer, they'll throw more. In the second part of the scenario, pass rush will improve by default due to the increased numbr of drop backs/attempts. Given the depth of both in this draft, we should be in pretty good shape...figuratively anyway. -
These things are starting to look like "copy & paste" versions of everyone elses mocks...I don't care what all the experts think about the combine not jump players up and down the bords that much cuz I think Paea earned himself a top 15 selection with his 49 reps on the bench...he's bull and he's got a mean streak. Also, I don't see the Jags going DE 2 years in a row from the same school...

if Buffalo is to sign one free agent

Post-Combine: Who do YOU want to draft @ #3
Armchair GM replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cam Jordan...I said it b4 the draft, I'm saying it now, and if we don't pick him I will be saying it when he makes the pro bowl year one. (assuming he goes to a team that runs a 34) -
Astro...please comment on these guys: A couple players you don't even have in the mix in your post that I really like, who've proved to be worthy of a good hard look. 1. Cam Jordan, DE, Cal. The guy's a beast and is a 4 year starter @ DE in a 34 scheme. 2. Kelvin Sheppard, ILB, LSU. Intense and emotional leader, highly productive and a fireplug @ 6'2" 250. I read in another post that Nix isn't a fan of trading down, so what do you think his stance is on trading back up for an additional pick in the second. I truely believe that Luke Stocker has the potential to be one of the best TE's in the NFL and we should make a move to ensure he is a Bill next year. Sheppard (above) is a a rd 3 or 4 pick, so that opens us up to grabbing Stocker, if it's not too early.

Pat Moran:inside source has us taking
Armchair GM replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No John, you're wrong! Cam Jordan will NOT make it out of the TOP 10, and there is NOT a plethera of NFL ready 3-4 DE's in this draft! There is NO projecting with Jordan...he's not a kid that plays a 4-3 DE that projects to a 3-4 OLB in the NFL. For being around as long as you have, this was an extremely short sighted post on your behalf. Really dude? Considering there is probably 1 position on this entire team that couldn't use an upgrade, rather a comlimentary pick (NG-Williams), your statement is redonkulous!
