  1. The only problem I have with yours is that the only way I see us trading would be down, not up. Also, the only way I see that happening is if Richardson falls to 10...not likely...and Cinci wants to jump up and grab him. They have the ammo to do so. Regardless of them signing "The Firm," Green Ellis, I can totally see them making a play for Richardson. Theat would instantly give them one hell of a 1-2 RB combo and make them a threat in their division. They started to put a few things together last year, and with a move like this, they would solidify themselves as a ligit contender. This is all for not, as I don't see a way that Richardson falls to 10...just sayn'.
  2. So we don't have to search several other posts... Armchair GM's mock draft 2.0: 1.) Luke Keuchly, LB - BC; Tackling machine that can play all 3 LB positions in the 4-3, and play them all well. alt. pick Stephen Hill, WR - Georgia Tech; May be a reach at 10, but I can't get over this kids physical tools (stop with the "lack of production" bs...he was in a Triple Option O and still averaged 29.2YPC) 2.) Rueben Randle, WR - LSU; This kid just gets better and better every day. Savvy route runner with great strength/size combo. Creates separation and has big play (YAC) potential all over him. Characterized as an extremely hard worker, on and off the field. alt. pick Shea McClellin, OLB - Boise State; RELENTLESS...never stops and makes plays sideline to sideline 3.) Matt McCants, OT - UAB; Production, production, production...Started 7 games as a true freshman and played in 11 out of 12. Aside from the 2008 season (sat out because of academics) he's started every game @ LT and is considered one of the best offensive players ever to come out of UAB. Simply doesn't allow sacks.(Bench reps are a concern, but a good strength and conditioning program will fix hat) 4a.) Michael Egnew, TE - Mizzu; Tall, strong & sure handed receiving TE that can attack the seem and be a red zone threat. Plus he's got a step on most LB's in the NFL. 4b.) Josh Norman, CB - Coastal Carolina; Big South stand out that squashed any concerns with his ability to play with the big boys at the E/W Shrine game and Sr. Bowl. Opposing teams caught on and avoided throwing his way. 5a.) Jack Crawford, DE - Penn St; decent production, hard worker that makes all the hustle plays. Tall with long arms and has a knack of getting his hands up and in passing lanes. Will provide quality depth and most likely surpass the competition for rotational duty @ DE. 5b.) Coryell Judie, CB - Texas A&M; Late start in football, but has exceptional ball skills and savvy hands. Strong and athletic and has good closing ability. Attacks WR at the line and is a blitzing threat. 6.) Tank Carder, OLB - TCU; A LB named Tank...fitting, eh? Attacks gaps and closes well on the ball carrier. Blows up blockers and makes plays...plus, great story behind this kid, although may cause some concern due to the severe nature of past injuries, albeit many years ago. 7a.) Andrew Datko, OT -Florida St; Totally worth the risk if he falls this far after suffering a 2nd major shoulder injury. Prior to the injury, ha had a day 1 grade. 7b.) Dale Moss, WR - SD State; Although a HS Standout in Basketball and Football, he went to SD St. on a BBall scholarship and played only 1 year of football...but, it was a great year (61/949/6) and his pro day performance (4.38 40, 41.5" vert and a 6.32 short shuttle, that holds the record for fastest ever at any position) instantly put this kid on te radar. Rare size/speed combo @ 6'3" with explosive change of direction (see shuttle time). I hope this kid continues to fly under the radar, but someone is bound to find him...I hope it's the Bills. Flame away...
  3. Sanu is an excellent receiver. What he lacks in elite speed is made up for by his natural ability as a WR. He runs sharp, precise routes and creates seperation. He has outstanding upper body strength to beat the press and is very fluid with the ball in his hands so he creates excellent YAC gains. He simply catches everything thrown to him. Unfortunately, he is a prototypical slot receiver, so I don't think he'll be one of our picks. I absolutely love this kid and I will go as far to say that he will make a big splash in the NFL and may prove to be one of the better rteceivers in this years draft.
  4. That's a reach, 5 for 5...Last years draft, out of 9 picks, yielded 8 active roster players and 1 PS. Out of the 8, 3 are full time starters and another 2 are major contributers...of the remaining 3, 2 are excellent special teamers and a yet to be determined 3rd RB. I'd be happy with a repeat draft. Bell or no Bell, there is no way they take 2 OT's in the first 3 rounds. Not saying they won't take 2 in the draft.
  5. Can we please just pay attention to the actual post and stop dwelling on the last decade of poor drafting...The OP is close to 100% on this...PLEASE take a look at the drafts from the past two years (plus the UDFA signings)...Out of 18 picks they have yielded 14 Active Players and a couple PSers, most notably Jasper. Of those 14 their are 6 starters (2 of which have stepped up and filled in due to injury, but contributed well). I'm not saying that their is a mass amount of talent, but between the key pieces that plugged in and the depth type guys, I'd say that the last 2 drafts have ben pretty damn good. This is highlighted by the fact that all 9 picks last year are on the team, only one of whom is on the PS, Plus, we've yet to see what Easley can actually do. I'd say that is the definition of a paradigm shift, eh?
  6. Who cares!?
  7. I like Datko as well; however, you failed to mention that this is his second major shoulder injury (blew it out Jr. year in HS), both requiring surgery. Combine show he recovers well (29.5 reps on the bench). Coming into his Sr. year he was rated as one of the best OT's in the NCAA. After this injury there are major concerns with reoccurring injury, hence the drop to 4th-5th round grade. If we were to pick up a serviceable, stop gap type OT, in FA then e can afford the gamble (which I'm all for, because you're right in that he's a stud). I just refuse to believe that the Bills Brass is content with Hairston, at this point, although I think he'll be a pleasant surprise. Let's be honest with ourselves, if they do sign Anderson, the chances of picking up said OT in FA drops significantly. Also, the "need" for a DB may not be as great with the addition of a legit pass rush (Williams and Anderson. Also, with the emergence of Justin Rogers, albeit on special teams, our secondary improves by default. There are options in the mid to later rounds at CB as well. That being said, I'm inclined to believe that we go OT @ 10 and WR in the second.
  8. I, for one, don't buy that they're out of the race for another WR. And there is some talent out there that I think can fill in as a nice #2 opposite SJ13. Brandon Lloyd - wrong side of 30, but has really came into his own the last few seasons. He's got a huge catch radius for a smaller WR. Can stretch the field at times, runs good routes, and goes up and gets it. I think he's put the "prima dona" stuff to bed as well. He may want to have the #1 lable though, but I have to billieve anything is possible now. Mario Manningham - not gonna beat a dead horse...I like him and he'd complete the whole "Super Mario Bros." Plaxico Burress - Like it or not, he's gonna get a step back this year...I wouldn't bee surprised if he puts us 800-1000 & 8-10 TD's. Last year was year one out of the clink and he still grabbed 8 td's. I think he gets his football legs back this year, albeit for an 11th season in 13 years. Early Doucet - Burried behind Fitzgerald, Boldin & Breaston fro a couple years & took a couple more to come into his own last year. 700 yards and 5 TD's ain't too shabby for a # 2.
  9. First off, a solid #2 is a priority and an absolute need. How soon we've forgotten about the cliff dive last year turned out to be...Secondly, a lot of you on this board keep saying we need a burner to stretch the field, which is not the case. We need to give Fitz posession receivers that are solid route runners and have good hands. Fitz is a mid range QB, he simply can't put up the long ball that some other QB's in thisleague can. THIS, was probably one of the deciding factors for Meachum, being that he's a fast field stretcher, who just so happened to sing with a team that has a QB who's long ball is in the "elite" category. In comes Robinson and Manningham...both create seperation, run crisp routes and have better than average hands, not to mention that they have shown the ability to go up and get the ball when needed.
  10. Similar to the pipe dream of VJ in Buffalo...>$20Mil tied up at WR??? Don't think that'll happen either.
  11. I hate to admit it, but I'm leaning this way as well...The relative silence out of OBD on Bell is indicative that he'll hit the open market come FA next week. I don't see any other OT's on the market that'll be worth a stop gap/rental. I refuse to believe that they have enough faith in Hairston to go into this season with him at LT and without a high profile type player (1st round draft pick) plugged in.
  12. Had to post this...I love this kind of stuff between teamates! Mohawk with a message!!
  13. Normally I wouldn't think about trading a top 10 selection; however, this years draft is shaking out to be pretty deep at positions of need for the Bills. I wouldn't have a problem with this at all...actually, I think it would be a great move... Pick 17 - Nick Perry (wishful thinking...I don't think he makes it out of the top 10) Pick 21 - Mohammed Sanu (my favorite receiver in this draft...just wait, you'll see)
  14. Just saw a report that a "team that you would never expect" is in the mix for the Rams' 2nd overall pick...I know it's a stretch, but I'll feed the trolls...SURPRISE TEAM
  15. Funny how I got laughed at when I mentioned Perry a few weeks ago...anyhow, just goes to show that the kid is bound and determined to be a force in the NFL... Take this for what it's worth because I've been infatuated with this kid for a couple years! He is a CLONE of Dwight Freeney. If you want to get a pass rusher, no one is better suited than Perry. Stats: in 3 years at USC Perry racked up 29.5 tackles for a loss, 21.5 sacks, 6 PBU, 5 FF, and 1 FR. Scouting report: Extrememly active edge rusher with elite quickness and great hands. He gets to the passer with a variety of moves. Very smooth with a ton of natural ability and good body control. He's very aggressive and has a relentless motor. Simply put, the kid just doesn't quit until the job is done and the QB is laying on his back. He plays with good balance and is stout, hard to move and has a great range for taking down ball carriers. He's got a mean streak and plays with a violent nature. I've seen some reports that say he projects as an OLB in a 3-4, which I don't get because of the lack of experience with coverage...and that was before he put on a solid 22lbs. while maintaining the agility of a much smaller athlete. To sum it up...I Love Perry @ 10. Dream scenario: Sign Mathis in FA = a DL that looks like Perry, Williams, Dareus & Mathis...someone pinch me, I must be dreaming.
  16. SERIOUSLY!!! That may turn out to be one of the best drafts in the last 10 years...LOL, not saying much there, but I would do a backflip...and probably land on my head.
  17. 10 out of 12 in 4 minutes
  18. Panthers need to cut some serious $$ off their cap...Clausen (1-9 as a rookie starter 2 years ago and inactive for all 16 games in '11) will surely be a casualty...Question is, do we even bother? Jimmy Clausen
  19. Here...check these sites out. Very good player evaluations..totally unbiased and let's you formulate your own opinion: Draft Scout Football's Future
  20. Personally, I think Floyd to the Bills is a HUGE stretch. Kid's got some character concerns and it isn't likely they take the risk. Wait for the combine and for Mohammed Sanu to tear it up. That's the WR I want and think will be the best WR to come out of this class.
  21. Well, there seems to be some progress...the two sides have exchanged proposals and are scheduled to meet in Indi next week, LINK
  22. Is this a joke, or are you a Washington fan? This seems to be a complete "homer" mock for a delusional Skins fan...And, unless Jax picks up a top tier pass rusher in FA, they sure as sh*t won't be taking anyone that doesn't play DE or OLB. Oh, and Floyd to the Bills...?
