  1. Fellas, FELLAS!! Listen up! NFL teams will be much more receptive to Randy Moss' return than they were with TO last year. His agent and PR people will spin it like this: "Randy needed to get refocused...get his head back in the game. He had to step away. He's concentrated on the all of the mental aspects of the game and has trained feavorishly. He may be in the best shape of his life right now..." Randy will old a TO style public workout, which many teams will attend, as opposed to ) @ TO's. If Randy runs a sub 4.4 40yd, as he claims he still can (4.35-4.38) He'll garner multiple offers.
  2. I'm with you on Hagan (WR from Raiders). He def made an impression. I also think that Kamar Aiken is another SJ13 in the waiting. Once he gets his shot I think he'll prove he belongs. Can't say the same for Williams..he's had too many opportunities and he'll fall by the wayside. I just think Robinson fits the whole "needs a few years to come into his own" type and he's got trmendous upside. Dallas definitely wants him to stick around, they just won't be able to show him as much love as the open market.
  3. Nope, pretty solid core group of guys that I have yet to hear of any off field issues with. No way on SJ13...we NEED to sign him. If you really step back and think about it, he's got 2 drops, albeit critical, and a couple of lame brained penalties. This, out of kid who got no love his first couple years, then broke out and for all intensive purposes, followed up with a strong "2nd" year. He's a young kid, who's abviously has a chip on his shoulder...more like an " i told you so" attitude. Anyway, he's got a bit of maturing to do, but you can't take away the talent. He's got a large catching radious, makes the acrobatic type catches, and best of all...is an amazing route runner that creates seperation. Put a solid # 2 accross from him...(see Robinson, above) and that akes away double teams and he has an all pro future. Just calling like I see it, but I truely think that he is going to be something special in the comming years. READY FOR THE BOLD STATEMENT??? He'll be better than Reed was....BOOM!
  4. Peersonal preferences aside, I tried to come up with some realistic options/scenarios (and I'm NOT saying we're going to go out and sign ALL of these guys, simply stating the most realistic options). Based upon this Regime's method...here's my best shot: Free Agency...It's known that they arn't splashy and have stuck to thier beliefs in building through the draft with minimal FA imports. Jeremy Mincey DE, 6'3" 270lbs. 28 years old (Jacksonville). Fits the bill here. He filled in nicely for Kampmann with 57 tackles, 8 sacks and 4 forced fumbles. Now, Jacksonville may realize his worth, but they may also bo out and try to grab an "elite" pass rusher and let Mincey test the waters in FA. Plus, he's on the right side of 30 and I don't suspect he'll demand a huge pay day. I think he'll benefit even more playing next to Williams & Dareus. (omitting Mathis, Campbell & Avril, all who will demand a significant pay day.) Anthony Spencer OLB, 6'3" 257lbs. 28 years old (Dallas). I like this kid. Consistency is key here. He's a stout run defender and puts good pressure on the QB when called upon to do it. Some may say he bennefits from playing opposite of Ware, but I'm on the other side. He's on a big, high profile stage in the big D. I'm not saying Ware is who he is because of Spencer, but I think Spence help Ware more than Ware hurts Spence. (Omitting Williams despite the "interest" Buffalo has in him...I just don't see Ralph saying "OK" to the kind of $$ he'll demand.) Terell Thomas CB, 6' 191lbs. 27 years old (Giants). Coming of a season ending injury, he's likely to be the odd man out in NY with Webster, Amakumara & Ross (also a FA). He's a big DB wih above average ball skills and an absolute BEAST on the perimeter in run support. Laurent Robinson WR, 6'2" 190lbs 27 years old (Dallas). Another Big D cap casualty. With his breakout years and only being 26 (27 at the beginning og the 2012 season) he's entering his 6th year in the league and, to me, looks like he's come into his own. He's got good size & deep speed. He's expressed interest in staying in Dallas, but with the contracts of Austin & Bryant, they won't be able to pay Robinson #2 money as a #3 WR. (I'm betting on the other big names to stay put, ie. Jackson, Bowe, Lloyd...even Garcon in Indi, no way they let him walk with a new QB comming in.) Sorry kids, I think they resign Bell and they have Hairston, too. I don't think we touch the OL in FA, other than depth...maybe.
  5. A couple things to think about with Perry & Upshaw (I don't think Coples makes it to 10 with all the Sr. Bowl hype he's getting). Perry is a bit undersized for a DE in, but so is Robert Mathis, and this kid fits that mold. Also, I'm not sure he couldn't make the transition to a 43 OLB. He's the right size and as the right speed, the learning curve is with coverage. All it takes is an excellent combine & pro day and you have yourself an early day 1 pick. Upshaw seems to be prototypical size for a 43 DE & his lack of a natural position might make a team, like the Bills, think about it anyway. He played a lot in a 2 & 3 pt stance, so...I think he may still be an option.
  6. NO...I know 3 people who have had the same surgery. He will NEVER return to form...He may have a year or two left...probably above average, but he will never be the same. Said people, to this day, struggle with neck pain and numbness in their extremities...YEARS later.
  7. Speculation or not...this would be the single greatest Free Agent acquisition in this franchises history. This is the kind of guy that INSTANTLY improves the play of EVERYONE around him. I'd offer him the contract he wants, my left nut and a couple fingers if that is what it would take. Anyone who says "no" is plain dumb.
  8. Do we do it Who would pull the trigger and to get RGIII?
  9. Interesting about Colston... I knew they had their work cut out for them with FA's, but I didn't hear about eh Graham hold out. What makes it more interesting is the possibility of being able to resign Meachum, even with the other issues, as his contract demand won't be nearly as lofty as Colston. I agree that Dockett is a beast, but AZ's D, as I said, can't afford to lose any talent because they don't have much. To me, the drop off is greater if Campbell goes and takes his 50+ tackles and 5-10 sacks with him. Although we've seen some players stretch out their careers along the D Line, Docket will be entering his 8th season and his production has steadily decreased (sacks anyway) over the years. Good point on Tollefson, but even so, when you have ZERO drop off when he comes on the field regardless of who he's next to, tells me he's pretty damn good. I also like Mathis, but he's going into his 9th season, wrong side of 30 and an ACL @ 32 yrs old is a pretty significant injury. Also, his production has dropped off over the years as well.
  10. OK, sorry about all the strike-throughs, but these guys aren't realistic...some that I didn't cross out aren't either, but they are exciting prospects. QB: Brees & Smith aren't going anywhere. Flynn could possibly move on because of the situation in GB. It's not like Drafting Rogers when Favre was nearing retirement. Rogers only had to wait 3 years, but I can't believe Flynn would be content to remain a back up for another 10 years. That said, Bills have a love affair with Fitz and if we get a QB this year it'll be a developmental late round pick. WR: Welker & Colston aren't going anywhere. Both are staples in their respective offenses. Bowe is intriguing, but he & SJ13 are essentially the same. Both are good at getting open and making plays, but each are just as apt as the other at dropping a potential game winning TD. That said, I'd still love the pick up. I'd throw Brandon Lloyd, Robert Meachum, Manningham & Garcon in that mix. Thet're all upgrades to what we have now. Lloyd proved that he may not be so hard to handle in the locker room & he provides a HUGE traget...I'd like to see him as a Bill even more so than Bowe. OT: I'm with all the pundits and the Bills in that Bell still has a ton of upside & can be a very good LT if he can stay healthy. Collins is to valuable to Cinci, so I don't think he's going anywhere. Gaither still intrigues me...I think he got a raw deal in Baltimore, but with Bell and Hairston an OT may come by way of mid to late round draft for competition and depth. TE: Don'tknow too much about Dressen & Bennett as they both sit behind 2 of the top 10 TE's in the league. If they fit the "oversized WR" mold, then cool. I'd add Daniel Fells to the mix as Kleinsasser hung it up. DE: Abraham is too old...good, but old. AZ can't afford to lose any more talen on their D & Campbell is, by far, their best man in the front 7, so no way they let hm go. Bennett is restricted, so forget it. Not sure why Mathis didn't make your top 3??? Also, add Dave Tollefson. On any other team, this guy starts....I mean, he racked up 5 sacks in rotational duty. DT: Pouha's not going anywhere unless the Jets can't afford him anymore. Don't know much about Bunckley & Landri is a good depth guy. Aubrayo Franklin always seems to slip under the radar and Jason Jones one of the best interior pass rushers in the league. But, with Tennesee's horrible track record of letting very good DT's go, they may make it a point to resign him. OLB: Henderson is too old. Another good player, but old. Johnson would be a solid pickup and Williams, obviously, would be the greatest FA acquisition this team has ever made...so, it won't happen...plus, the contract he's going to sign (not with Houston) is going to be huge.If the Bills pulled that off, I'd get an erection. Anyway, I also like Anthony Spencer from Dallas. CB: Grimes & Finnegan would be awesome pick ups. Webb, however, is restricted. Add in Terell Thomas from NYG. Dude's just damn good and a beast in run support...maybe the best run defending CB in the league. God knows we need help in run D.
  11. Ditto...and for being as small as he is, you'd expect mid to high 4.3's in the 40...not 4.5...PASS
  12. Can you give us your thoughts on Coples? From te limitted knowledge I have on him, dude's a beast. Too small for a NFL DT, but seems to be a force @ DE. Kid's got elite strength, a tremendous burst and an ability to drag down QB's & ball carriers while still engaged in a block...I'm finding it hard to punch holes in his game.
  13. Ralph's cheap! Sorry, it just fits...
  14. To your point about stats....100% agree. That said, I think I'd rather have Wright's teammate, Joe Adams. Adam's 40 time is a mere .04 slower, he packs on about 15 more lbs. on the same frame (Wright is 175 @ best). Sure Adams only had 49 grabs for 630 yds & 3 TD's, but he also returned 4 punts for TD's and rushed for 139 yds on 9 carries, including a 92yd scamper for a score. Talk about dynamic!
  15. Regarding your statement above (in bold), and I don't mean to be argumentative, but what would you call McNutt? As I said in my first response, the kid received scholarships to college in THREE sports! That, by definition, is an EXCEPTIONAL ATHLETE.
  16. Impressive...Taking a look at Blackmon and McNutt, I think I'd rather have McNutt. While Blackmon is a bit more explosive, both are very physical receivers with great hands. The knock on McNutt is that he is still developing his route running skills. Blackmon took 2 years to break into the starting line up at his natural position while Mcnutt transitioned to WR from QB and lead the team for 3 years straight. McNutt also received scholarships in THREE sports...football, basketball, and baseball. Blackmon post 32 more receptions, but only had 3 more touchdowns and nearly the exact same yardage...as for the measurables, almost the exact same: Blackmon - 6'1" 215lbs & runs a 4.52 40 yrd dash; 113 receptions, 1,337 yds & 15 TD (2010 mid-season DUI) McNutt - 6'2" 215lbs & runs a 4.52 40 yrd dash: 82 receptions, 1,315 yds & 12 TD Blackmon doesn't last to the 10th pick, and I think we have a legit sot @ McNutt in the 3rd Rd. IMHO, McNutt is a better value pick. Something to consider! I don't think he jumps into the 2nd round. He's currently ranked the 18th best receiver in the draft, with a 4-5 rd. grade. He may jump up into the 3rd with a good combine and pro day...hell, maybe the second, but I don't think so.
  17. I voted Upshaw @ 1....I think even if the Bills, in our wettest of dreams, blew Buffalo's collective mind and snagged Williams from Houston, I would still take Upshaw. This kid is the real deal and will be a force in this league, IMHO. I voted for the sake of voting in Rd's 2 & 3, but let me know your thoughts on these guys @ those spots: Rd.2 - Chase Minnifield; CB, Virginia. He may have done enought this year to garner a top 40 selection, but who knows. He's a true CB that'll stay @ CB in the NFL. Not huge, but bigger than your average corner @ 6' 185. Good speed and ball skills. I also like Trumaine Johnson @ CB from Montana, but he may transition to Safety in the NFL. He's big @ 6'2" 204, but may be a step slow and have problems keeping up with speedier NFL receivers and their double moves, but that remains to be seen. If, by chance, Mohammed Sanu is still there, he's my favorite pick and would be a steal. I think this kid is going to outshine Blackmon, Jeffrey, Floyd...et al. Rd. 3 - Joe Adams; WR, Arkansas - Smallish @ 5'11" but packs 190lbs. on that fram and dude can flat out fly. The definition of consistancy with great rac capability. He's got a great burst into his breaks that causes good seperation. Also, returned 4 punts for TD's this year and is the only player in the NCAA that recorded receiving, rushing and multiple punt ret TD's. Looks to be a prototypical slot WR in the NFL.
  18. And he'll be a first round pick next year!
  19. Laughable!! What gimmick does he bring with him to the Prop Jets?
  20. Because Sanu is going to be the best NFL receiver in this draft class. I can see Party Boy Floyd getting arrested 1st week out of camp for a DWI...oops, too soon?
  21. LOL!!! I guess I should have read the first reply!! Indi was an afterthought this year and I had no Idea he played as well as he did...pardon my ignorance, and jumping the gun to spew my opinion...my bad!! That being said, and aside from being OK with either in a Bills uni, I'd like to see them go after Bowe. Even with re-signing SJ13, the comments Nix made about another WR leads me to Billieve they'll go after a bigger name, albeit uncharacteristic.
  22. Nix has mentioned, a couple times now, that they will try to re-sign him. I quote, "He has all the tools...quick feet...athleticism..." He's been bitten by the injury bug, but can be a solid left tackle when healthy. I think this offseason will do him good strength and conditioning wise, as he won't be rehabbing all year. Plus here's Hairston. I do think they'll pick up a tackle this year, just don't see a rd1 pick if they re-sign D. Bell. Besides, there are bigger leaks to plug at this point. Again, just my opinion, which is worthless in the grand scheme of things.
  23. How about Laurent Robinson from Dallas? He's also very young and what he did in Dallas when Austin went down was pretty dang good...Garcon bennefitted from a healthy Manning, Wayne, Clark, and a rediculously good O-Line. Not saying he's not any good, but Robinson did what he did on an inferior team. With the contract they gave Austin this year, the addition and emergence of Dez Bryant and Dallas' uncanny ability to churn out WR's, he may demand a bit of a pay increase that Jones won't pay.
  24. Take Avril off the "wish list." I just saw that the Lions will likely tag him... Yes, it's definitely far fetched..that's why I called it a wish list. I'm simply giving my opinion on some good options at positions of need...I'll edit it to make it more clear.
