  1. Love it!! One of my favorite players!
  2. eBall...pay no attention to the man behind the 6_Pack, or the Mario Bro's nemesis, Weo...ario. You made a great point! Most GM's talk in circles and hide behind the "smoke screen." Nix has been more than honest, which as a player and fan, I appreciate. In any successful organization, accountability is key...and when the guy in charge displays that as a value, things can only get better. Here's my take, fwiw... Spencer Johnson has the best chance...I know I'll take some heat for that...but wait, he's back to a position that he excelled in, which was the reason we made the move to pick him up. In Minn, he was a beast rotating in with the Williams'. After that, it's a toss up, but I love the fact that we have more than 1 or 2 guys battling it out. I think it's a win win with Troup, Carrington, Heard, and Johnson.
  3. OK, so you notice no change in your mood on a Monday, during football season, from when the Bills lose and when they win? My point, exactly!
  4. A shark with a rainbow bandana...
  5. Chuck Norri round house kicked Mario Williams and broke his own leg.
  6. Mario is a very good run defender as well. Also, Kelsay being back at his natural position helps. Plus, committing to the 43 with Williams and Dareus in the middle, essentially takes away the run between the tackles whereby forcing runners to the outside. To me, this is good as Barnett flows very well to the ball and Sheppard had a lot of success in college @ MLB in a 43 filling and taking away the cutback lanes...By they way, I'm a big fan of Shep, so my post is a bit bias in that regard. Byrd showed a lot of improvement in run support last year and Wilson always seems to be in the mix down near the LOS. Basically, I see our run defense as improved by default...we'll see. Agreed...but all things about his system favors an improved run D. He likes attacking DT's rather than space/blocker eating 2 gappers that let the LB's clean up 3-5 yards off the LOS.
  7. FAIL!! Say what...? First off, I'm a big fan of Charles. He lit up my fantasy league for 2 years before his ACL injury. But Hillis, at this point, is nothing but a one year wonder who all but quit on his team last year. Fred-Ex has solidified his stature as one of the most prolific offensive weapons in the league, IMHO, being that he's been on a sub par team and performs year in, year out. CJ proved last year, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that he belongs in the backfield of any NFL club. So, whoever ranked the tandems, is a prong short of a fork. If these two stay healthy, I'm willing to bet the put up: 1.) Most yards from scrimmage, 2.) Most receptions, & 3.) Most TD's that any RB tandem has...ever! NFL record books, watch out for our boys! Total homer post, but hey, is it really that far fetched? I'd love to hear arguemnts against it from the, so called, "experts."
  8. I read this story yesterday and went through a gamete of emotions...First I was pissed at the situation, then sad for him, then utterly disgusted by that POS "woman." Finally, I came to the conclusion that...ready for this "original" thought...our justice system in this country is broken. I mean, the attorney for this kid, knowing he was innocent, advised him to plead "no contest" and take a chance at a reduced term. That just doesn't sit right with me. I could go on for pages & pages, but I had to say something as the people (woman at work) I shared this with didn't really seem to "get it." I don't enen know this kid and my heart broke for him!
  9. "You're so friggn' smart!"
  10. OK, so we all dress up as babies and storm the field...that would be epic.
  11. Irvin will shake that, or any, comparison soon enough. The kid is a gamer and has a a motivation not like many others. He's as hard as nails, unlike maybin who talked a big game...i'm sure Maybin put the work in, but he doesn't have that killer/tough guy mentality I think Irvin has...no pun intened.
  12. FATHER OF THE YEAR!! LOL...good point!
  13. Why is Zebrie not getting any love? He's my pick to turn some heads!
  14. Favorite of the post!! Awesome story. I was 13 in my basement...I was the only true fan in the house, even at such an early age..the rents yelled down a few times for me to "keep it down." Ater the game, they had told me about 3 or 4 friends had stopped by, but when they told them what I was doing, none of them even came downstairs. I can remember acting out the play by play...definitely my best Bills memory.
  15. A 50 front is reserved for short yardage and conversely 3rd and a mile, as well as double TE formations. It's more simple than switching personel too, simply slide the line to the strong side and the WIL steps up and shades outside shoulder of the TE on the weak side. MLB and SAM slide to cover the middle, like a 34 LB set. Usually, the SS will cheat up into more of a teener LB/DB position to help out with the short pass and/or PA. That leaves the secondary in a cover 3, essentially. Personally, I think its a pop warner/HS D, maybe some Colleges, but I don't like it at the NFL level. Just my HO.
  16. Agreed...these type of things have no business being discussed on a fan board. It's just disrespectfull and tasteless.
  17. Thank God a 4-3 MLB isn't asked of much in pass coverage...he'll have a small zone to protect, and one or two goo licks on the Welker types that come into his "house" will help squash the issue. Feel better?
  18. Anyone else notice the amount of 4" thick, three ring binders are sitting on those tables...kinda makes our efforts, as fans, regarding "research" on prospects look pretty silly, eh?
  19. So, hitting the cross bar from the 40 on one knee doesn't say anything about arm strength?
  20. Not even remotely funny...and given the link, not even original. I bet you can't touch your knee to your forehead. You have to try reeeeallllly hard, 1...2...3...go!
  21. Spoken like a true used car salesman...enjoy your "glass half empty" existence.
  22. TO is on the verge of a complete mental breakdown. His ego has been pounded into the ground, he's broke and he's not getting laid. I've always liked him, even in his prima dona years. Edwards is done..he just can stick anywhere he lands. Don't know much, at all, about Jones. Gaffney had a career year which, in turn, inflated his self worth. He wants too much money and may have a hard time catching on anywhere with that kind of contract demands being a 31 yr old receiver. I bet he returns to the Skins for less $$. Burress...IMO will turn some heads this year. Come July/August, if he's still available, I'd love to pick him up.
