  1. Me too...I have a new word.."Idiocrity," sums us up pretty well (put it together). Now, if only we could realize that this is PRE SEASON!! No schemeing, base D's & O's, glorified practices to fix what's "broke" in regular practices....hello...hello? Is anyone out there?
  2. Very nice!! Never thought I'd say this, but Buscaglia seems to be the best when summing up the D.
  3. Agreed...I just read a report about how ineffective he's been, even against the 3's...sunk like a ship & won't make the roster. Especially with Moore playing as well as he has with the 2's.
  4. Thank you for that!
  5. Again, though my research hasn't been that "in depth" all I've been seeing are breakdowns on the offense...thanks for taking the high road on this one.
  6. This is unfortunate for Carrington. He, like Moats got bounced around for a couple years between DE, DT & LB with his weight was going up & down as well. The guy didn't have a cross word to say, sucked it up and played where he needed to. It's unfortunate because they'll have a tough time releasing Heard as he had some good reps last year and played well. Now, with the emergence of Moore, who has shown he can be a gamer rcently, Carrington may get the sh*t end of the stick. I like Carrington. The kid has shown some flashes, is coachable, and is willing to do whatever it takes. Again, the unfortunate part about it is that this league is more of a "show me now" rather than "what could be soon." Hey, personal preference aside, putting the best players on the field is what it's all about. We shall see.
  7. Anyone out there with info on where to find defensive write ups? All I've seen, of these reports, are offensive breakdowns. Who's lookng like studs? Who's not? What vets are on the bubble with new, younger talent? All I know is that there is a good battle for spots on the D Line and the LB's are all looking pretty good, which lends to the fact that they'll have some tough decisions to make there.
  8. Can anyone clear something up for me regarding RB... What happened last year with Choice coming in and getting the nod over White? Was White hurt, or was Choice simply the better of the 2..? I think this will weigh heavily on the decision of who to keep. Also, any reports on Dickerson? Last I heard, durring OTA's was that he was looking good. As I said b4, with his versatility and the H-Back style, could this mean the end of C Mac's stay in Buffalo?
  9. QB (3): Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyler Thigpen, Brad Smith VY to # 2. Don't see a need for Brad Smith as VY can run the wild cat, probably better RB (4): Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Johnny White, Tashard Choice Based on Camp, it'll be Choice, based on the game, then White. We'll keep 4 RB's, but one of them will be McIntyre FB (1): Corey McIntyre WR (6): Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Donald Jones, TJ Graham, Derek Hagan, Marcus Easley Not looking good for him...losing reps to Martin and Clowney...Martin may get the nod because of his ST prowess TE (2): Scott Chandler, Mike Caussin->on the bubble with Dickerson OT (4): Chris Hairston, Erik Pears, Cordy Glenn, Zebrie Sanders OG (4): Andy Levitre, Chad Rinehart, Kraig Urbik, Mark Asper OC (2): Eric Wood, Colin Brown DE (5): Mario Williams, Mark Anderson, Shawne Merriman, Chris Kelsay, Robert Eddins I'd throw Kyle Moore in the Mix here as well..I think he battles Eddins, or they both go and we keep a 5th DT DT (4): Marcel Dareus, Kyle Williams, Torrell Troup, Kellen Heard This spot will go to Spencer Johnson or Dwan Edwards unless TT shows up and impresses OLB (5): Nick Barnett, Kirk Morrison, Nigel Bradham, Bryan Scott, Arthur Moats ILB (2): Kelvin Sheppard, Tank Carder CB (5): Aaron Williams, Stephon Gilmore, Terrence McGee, Ron Brooks, Justin Rogers They'll keep McKelvin in a contract year to get the most out of him S (3): Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Da'Norris Searcy -- ST (3): Rian Lindell, Brian Moorman, Garrison Sanborn Potter will make it, TB's are to valuable these days *A couple variables - With Potter kicking off, there will need to be a cut made elsewhere; Dorrin Dickerson's H-Back style has seemed to impress, so with that versatility, does it spell E N D for C McIntyre?; The need for a 4th safety lends to the possibility of only keeping 4 OLB's...go with youth and Morrison may be SOL as Scott has proved he can be successful on this team.
  10. No love for our very own Fred Jackson? Think about it...we know he can handle all of the skill positions, even tossing the rock. He's known to be an excellent blocker. He's a tough, physical presence with something to prove. I think, of all players on the opposite side of the ball, his skill set could easily transition to D. Run a Dick LeBeau D and bring 5 or 6 guys every snap...one FredEx would surely deliver. Put him in shotgun every snap with one or two of him next to him...sooo many options. I'll put team FredEx up against anyone. FWIW, I'm not a young buck with delusions of present tense grandeur. I've been round the game a long time and I have trouble picking out anyone, from any era, that I would like to clone more.
  11. If he returns to even half his form, 25-30 plays could equate to 8-10 sacks...I'd say that's a pretty significant contribution, no?
  12. Stats are for losers...bottom line, @ 34 he's better than everyone behind SJ13
  13. I just read he's willing to play for vet minimum...if he can play at the same level as last year...8 TD's...and with all the questions abound about our WR's...why not roll the dice? LINK
  14. I hope not. I just have a feeling about Aiken. I don't know why, but he reminds me of SJ13. If he turns in another pre-season like last year, I think the Bills brass will be hard pressed not to give him more of a shot.
  15. Big bad bearded Bills bash Brown's brains badly.
  16. Each and every one of us needed to be sanitized after that trip...
  17. Miami...multiple great experiences there. Mainly because we traveled with 20 or so in our party and didn't do the "tourist" thing with the Salvatore's party. We stayed in South Beach...actually found a hotel, The Fairwind, on Ocean & 9th for $89/night...we came to find out why as each room is equipped with enough DNA to shoot an entire season of CSI. Anyway, the Clevelander cooked up our days catch for us for $20....which was a sh*t ton of Mahi...afro wigs galore, home made t-shirts reading "got pot" with Williams, #34 on the back...tv interviews on the beach with a Brazilian Adult TV show on permiscuity (sp). Hitting a topless sunbather directly in the chest with a football (awesome ( o )( o )'s) *Cuban Coffee*=instant sober! Cuban sandwiches, shared with "street folk" on the corner & an impromptu visit to one of Miami's finest strip clubs. By the end of the first trip, the hotel became known as The Breakwind. However, you could order a surf & turf @ 4am if you so chose, which was actually decent considering the condition of the rooms. Oh, the hotel bar was fantastic and ridiculously cheap...I mean, Buffalo happy hour prices in Miami.
  18. Not me...Wilson has proven he's not affraid to get in the mix at the line and supports the run D very well. Byrd, last year, proved he's refined his all around skills and can get in there too. This is also one part of Gillmores game that was impressive in college as well. And Scott...yet another good run supprt DB/LB tweener. Now, covering TE's is a different story.
  19. My thoughts exactly...he seems to have more zip on the ball with tight spirals and is hitting his guys in stride. Albeit, in camp, but he's improved with the help of Lee. We need real time game situations to see if he'll revert to his old ways. Fitz, however, is a smart guy...one, who I billieve, will apply his newly refined mechanics...here's to hoping so!
  20. Fact is, this is his 3rd season...he was actually pretty productive his rookie year when he played in 15 games and made 23 tackles. Last year, he had a broken hand and a bum back which held him out of all but 6 games. He's very close to 100%, so I'm with the other poster who said final cuts. The kid will get a fair shake in preseason...time will tell. I also just saw that there are 18 guys battling for a spot on the D Line...18...that just makes for some great competition. So, call me "not worried!"
