  1. The pic of Sanchez and tebow is priceless!! Sanchez is like "...uhhhhh.....what?"
  2. One of the "math guys" I work with, without putting to much time into the equation, said best guess is >120mph...
  3. Odd, to say the least...A ton of traffic, a ton of accidents...my guess is those are all relatively minor fender benders with a few more serious collisions in the mix. A car traveling 100 feet, that's 33 yards or 1/3 of a football field, in the air and striking abuilding 5 ft. off the ground...not your run of the mill accident, my friends. How fast would a car have to be traveling to do so??? Begs the question...was he running from something, or someone? Sorry, but to brush this off as "no surprise to me," as the gentleman in the video said, just doesn't sit right with me.
  4. If that "excuse" has any truth to it, I think it'd be a safe bet that Spiller turned it up a notch with his conditioning this offseason.
  5. Yes, but a slighty less watered down version of a super QB from a slighty less watered down generation of the NFL...I'd stack my QB up against all of those from todays NFL, all things being relative of course.
  6. I met Bruce @ Pure Platinum and played pool against he and his friend. He cheated, every ball that dropped, regardless of what pocket, he thought was OK and tried to keep going. I called him out on it. At first, he looked shocked and as if he was going to go the *D route, but then he laughed and was cool about it...said something like he was shocked I actually called him out on it. Ended up being a great night as we shared a table and had an endless train of "dancers" at the table. Met "House" Ballard at the Old Country Buffett on Union, the old Dicks Plaza. I'm 6'3" 260 and I could completely hide behind this man. Had a couple run ins with Jimbo...won't bother with the story as they weren't very good experiences and he's "immortal" on this board...Same goes with Reed and Thomas. Eric Moulds stopped in a dive bar we used to frequent as under agers...also, not a good ending to the night...for Moulds, anyway. Turns out, the hot bartender was one of his baby momma's and he put his hands on her (grabbed her, not hit her) and my buddy's, the bouncers, and a couple of us tossed his a** out the door. Another buddy knocked out Chris Rasmussen (sp, and a Sabre) at Fat Cats back in the day...awesome night...and "Razor" didn't even care, he thought he deserved what he got for being a tool. Jay McKee (sp) is a total D Bag, by the way.
  7. Yeah, most peopl DON'T, actually have to work out of state, for a new organization with a 6 week old baby who haven't had the chance to move to the area and settle in with a newborn...You are correct.
  8. Say no to drugs! No Have you found a cure for fumbleitis? Just say "no" to all of the re-treads...IMHO, the only one worth a desperation stop gap signing would be Clark. He's old, but the dude simply produces. We have some youth, that may surprise us, behind Spiller/Jackson/Choice. There are also about 150 other playes that fall into this category now that June 1 has passed and soon to be more on the market after cut downs. I just don't see the need to jump out there right now.
  9. Had a 6 year college career due to missing 2 full season with a foot injury... 2005-some reserve duty, maybe 1 TD 2006-Injured 2007-Injured 2008-11 rec for 111yds and a couple TD's 2009-Earned starting spot back, 62 rec, 851 yds & 8tds 2010-Breakout year with 67 rec for 1220 yds & another 8tds Another guy who runs sub 4.5 40's
  10. Sidebar... I was in Ft. Lee last week, training, and met 2 guys with close personal ties to EJM and Gragg. 1st, one of the instructors, was EJM's neighbor. Friends with his Dad and Bruce, and has seen him play through HS and, obviously, college. Seems to think the league (teams/scouts) did a great job of hiding the fact that he is, and a has been, the top QB in this draft...multiple teams agree. Obviously, this is all hearsay. 2nd, a fellow trainee, is a Gragg family friend. Gragg's dad is a HS Softball ump, and this guys daughter is one of the star players in town and they tend to see each other a lot. Again, he's been watching Gragg play FB for several years and, in his "expert" opinion, we have ourselves a stud. Take it for what it's worth.
  11. I completely disagree with anything anyone has to say about Nassib. This guy is in a great spot. Pretty sure the whole"hope he never has to play" thing is in regards to any time in the immediate future...basically, hopeing Eli doesn't get hurt because Nassib will probably end up as the #2 in NY. Manning, though the younger of the 2, is no "spring chicken" @ 32. Just because Peyton showed he's got more in the tank @ 36 doesn't mean Eli will follow the same path. Like Rogers, Nassib will have an opportunity to sit for a few years behind an, arguably, elite QB. Not to say Eli will be done @ 35, but if he continues to take the beatings he has over the last couple years, ya never know. Eli's a tough dude, but so is Ken Shamrock, regarless of how many beatings he had to take to make him hang it up.
  12. Thaought this would be a little light-hearted fun to kill some time before the next OTA's. I'll start... Kiko Alonso - "The Spaniard" a play on Gladiator (obviously)...hopefully it'll suit him, totally not meant in a derogatory way.
  13. "Abba dabba...abba dabba duh...i play fuhball" JK...I normally don't make fun of people like this, but that was funny.
  14. I have this vision of a dark smokey room, under the Ralph, with three guys sitting at a table (Nix, Polian & Levy) wearing long hooded cloaks...Marrone and Whaley come for the council of the elders...#thisisstupid
  15. So, you think they are going to tell him to clean up his routes and get open less often? Statistically, SJ13 is a #2...a very good # 2. But, the reaons he's a "#2" are the same, IMHO, that make him a #1: 1.) No legitimate threat across the field from him...or on the field at the same time unless Spiller of FJ are spread out. 2.) No #1 QB throwing him the ball...ever 3.) Has played through a nagging groin injury for 2 years 4) a combo of 1 and 2 as the handcuffs he's had on, while still breaking 1,000 yards for 3 straight years.
  16. In Rogers' case, as well as Alonso and the other "problem" child (Meeks or Williams, can't remember which), you can chalk it up to a kid who thought he was God's gift to football, untouchable if you will, that got knocked down a few pegs and turned it around. I seem to believe these guys were truly humbled by their mistakes, and their consequences, and are ready to move forward. Thankfully it happened to them early enough, while still in the national spotlight, for them to "grow up" and put their best foot forward. Young, dumb, high profile athletes in college...Not saying they are dumb, just that they did something dumb. So many times it doesn't happen until they reach this level (Young, both of them, Pac-Man, Sam Hurd, Vick, etc. etc. etc.)...some of who resurrect a NFL career, but most of whom fall off planet NFL and into jail, or back on the streets. Rogers has the talent and the ability to become a very good receiver. Even as an UDFA, the risk/reward ratio is high on both sides. Say he lives up to his potential and keeps dry...Woods is as advertised and Graham and Goodwyn add an extra dynamic...SJ13 and Woods/Rogers/Graham/Goodwyn on the field with Spiller and a dual threat QB, in a fast paced O...not to mention Dickerson and/or Gragg (all of whom run sub 4.5 40's).
  17. I billieve Smith to be as good as gone. He has shown that he has absolutely nothing to offer that a rookie couldn't, IMHO. TJax's days are numbered as well. Kolb, Like Kelly was, is not mobile and still perfectly capable of running a fast paced, hurry up, offense. Manuel, who will start, adds an extra dimention. Pears is not going anywhere. So one of our 2 right tackles makes starter money and the other doesn't. Who cares which one is the actual starter, given that he wins the job due to superior performance. Either would prove to be a back up with little drop off. Mark Anderson...shows up healthy and ready to go...no way he gets cut. Otherwise, he's in danger. Lindel and Potter will both get axed if the f'nug out kicks them in camp. Choice may be a prime candidate. With the addition of a couple of UDFA pounders and the presence of Dickerson and Gragg as HB's, I wouldn't be surprised. Also, don't we still have White?
  18. And...where is Lovie now? If you've paid attention over the years these, so called, "draft experts" don't know sh*t, and most franchises find thier assessments laughable. Also, if you've paid attention to the majority of the post-draft reports, most NFL franchises DO consider E.J. as the best QB in this years crop...some by a wide margin, obviously. To put "masterfully" in the same sentence as Chan Gailey and Ryan fitzpatrick is laughable in and of itself.
  19. Awesome...this kid was on my draft radar for a while. He's a beast. He was the biggest DL @ the Sr. Bowl, and from the reports I read he was, by far, the quickest and most agile. He probably will have a great NFL career! Good for him..and his momma too.
