  1. A nick-name with "Kill" in it will not stick. A nick-name with the team name in it will not stick. The Pettine Zoo sounds soft/kid friendly...not exactly the D i want. I'd rather have a bunch of "kid eating" Mike Tysons. All I'm saying is that the nick-names of old all embodied the most significant strength of the D. I Billieve, from what I've seen, that we will be bringing a sh*t ton of pressure, from all over. This is a very unpredictable scheme as well. So, unpredictable + high pressure = volatile (tending or threatening to break out into open violence) Things that are volatile: Volcano's Fault Lines Protests Political situations My temper The Bills D.... Based off of all of these random thoughts, I like...1.) Mob D; 2.) Rabid Blue; 3.) Powder Kegg
  2. Interesting thought. It's a shame that player for player trades don't happen all that often because, as you said, both teams could benfit here. Both, Carpenter and Moffit, were drafted in 2011 (1st rd. pick 25 and 3rd rd. pick 11 *i think, respectively). Both started as rookies for 9 games. Both went down with ACL injuries. Both came back around mid season in 2012 and worked back into the starting line up. Pretty even so far... Carpenter missed a few more games in 2012 with a concussion and another knee injury. Also, tweaked it again and missed Seattle first preseason game. Moffit however, after his return, paved the way for Lynch to have a career year with 1500+ yds and 11 TD's. I'd lean more towards Moffit, but I think Seattle will too, regardless of draft position just 2 years ago. In that case, I'd have to pass on Carpenter...we already have 1 O Lineman with a history of knee issues.
  3. That's the creepiest dude I've ever seen.
  4. Not to often do you hear these players be aware of being in a "position of privilege." Moats = good dude!
  5. The only answer that is needed...next question, please?
  6. 1.) Z. Sanders wins the RG spot - He's healthy, is a mauler, has a mean streak, EJ has certain comfort level with his former, and current, teammate. 2.) O-Line dominates - just because everyone is scared and have overvalued Levitre in the past 3.) Spiller breaks Dickersons single season rushing mark by 27 yars - Hacket said they will 'run him until he taps out or pukes on the field!' 4.) Bills have #1 D in the league - Pettine shows the world 'Gang Green' was his D, not Rex's. 5.) Lawson doesn't make the final 53 and Hughes statrs - Seen too many reports of him 'dogging it,' and being out hustled. 6.) EJ Wins OROY - it's just time for a 'good-guy' to shock the league 7.) Alonso wins DROY - The kid has tremendous instincts and buzzes all over the field 8.) Spiller wins league MVP - If you rush for 2,132 and don't get MVP, something is seriously wrong. 9.) D injures @ least 3 QB's (I never hope for injuries, I'm just predicting our boys will hit QB's hard, and often) - Youth, speed, aggression, a coach that likes to bring the heat... 10.) AFC East champs, leaving everyone in the league with thier mouths hanging open, saying 'WTF?' - Patriots tank as Brady is one of the 3 mentioned above...J.E.T.S....suck, Suck, SUCK! Ireland threw $$ around and it backfires, Dolphins go 3 - 13.
  7. Yes, totally! Please capitalize the D in Dousche Bag when referring to giant ones, such as 88what.
  8. Very good point...but no, not at this level. A coah at the NFL/College level that has never "played" has been in and around the game the majority of thier life. They're not just guys who enjoy sports and took a creative writing class.
  9. "pretty female parts" "can I pinch your nipple?"
  10. While I share your distaste for the no talent hack, Sullivan, I refuse to read or even discuss his material. The only point I can make, albeit ignorant as I don't know his football pedigree, is that anything that anyone says about the game or its players, that hasn't ever stepped on a field at any level higher than the local town pee wee league, is severely lacking in credibility. Here's to hoping we all do the only thing that will make him go away...ignore him.
  11. I think most of you are on track...I believe it to be a few reasons, most of which have been mentioned. The two reasons I'm leaning towards is are that Pettine wants a healthy rotation on the D Line and he has to see what he's working with, regarding drop-off when guys like Ross are on the field. Petting knows what Dareus and KW/MW can do, he's seen it up close and personal 4 times. He needs to get a body of work from Ross, Carrington, even Branch, et al. All in all, it's assessment time and it's only a couple days into camp...CHILL
  12. A good man...a good, good man! Make it 2. Welcome!
  13. Hey A**HOLES that are turning this into a debate....stop BI*CHING and F*cking adapt! It was funny...that is the end. Life isn't fair, so cry about it on your own time. I know peeps that have Community College education that are smarter than any d-bag that wasted anything more that that amount of tuition on an education.
  14. Hot chicks and football = awesome. -1 for no beer in the pic, so I give myself a 9 outta 10. Plus, fu man chu's and mullets friggn' rock
  15. Holy Cow...terd! This guy is "original"...but seriously, of any year in the past 10, this division is wide open. I'm not saying his predictions are totally unfounded, but seem more like popular opinion rather than a well thought out and ORIGINAL piece. New England always wins...yes, but they lost several players that attributed to 91% of thier total offensive production last year. Yes, they stil have Brady and Belichick, but that is a lot to make up for. Aside from the fact that they are experimenting with last years RB as a WR. And if anyone on this planet thinks Amendola is going to fill Welkers shoes, your nuckn futts. As for Miami. How many teams have to go all in on a bunch of high dollar, high profile FA's and lose before anyone picks up on the fact it doesn't work. Taking a bunch of guys and throwing them together so as to expect them to mesh immediately and win, win, win is rediculous. Ireland has been on the hot seat for a couple years now and his despiration is shining through. The Jets...who knows with these guys, year in and year out. Regardless of W's & L's they always entertain with the NYC media circus. I do think, however, this is a make it or break it season for this team and staff. I fully expect them to blow it up after this season and start from scratch. If Geno doesn't win the camp battle, I think he's on the field by week 4, just to prove he sucks too and Rex is gonna go, Ben Stiller at the end of Dodgeball style, cra cra. Can't you picture him comming back with a team like St. Louis as a D Coordinator @ 600 lbs. on a lark scooter mumbling "F'n Sanchez" to himself...over and over. On to OUR BUFFALO BILLS...The great unknown! Young, talented and hungry. This isn't necessarily a good thing. I expect the competitiveness to increase, tremendously. There will definitely be some growing pains and learning opportunities. Nothing changes the fact that we've been cellar dwellars for the last decade and absolutely no one has any reason to believe Marrone and Co. will right the ship immediatley. Coupled with the fact that we don't have a cake walk schedule, in fact, we have an extremely tough and aggressive one. BUT I'M A BILLIEVER. Bills go between 8-8 and 10-6 with playoff hopes hinging upon week 16 outcomes. BOOM. #totalhomerpost
  16. I won't be surprised if Naaman makes the final 53 in Cleveland. I think they're on the right track and are putting something together over there accross the lake. Same goes for Nelson. Little and Gordon have 1 & 2 locked down. They traded for Bess and now have about 5 other receivers that are north of 6'2" Their roster could have 2 former Bills at WR, lol. Little, Gordon, Bess, Nelson & Roosevelt. I'd take that receiving core... Obviously this hinges upon the play of Weeden and the health of Richardson, but I like what Lombardi has done over there, especially putting together a pretty good coaching staff. Buffalo will always be #1 to me but, as you can tell, I have a soft spot for Cleveland.
  17. I dig what ur sayn'...I guess I was looking at it from a "value to the team" perspective. Seriously...'what if' MW played for a top 10 D? 'what if' Spiller had a coach who knew what he had? 'what if' that was Gilmores 2nd year? Brings a f'n tear to my eye...lol
  18. Not at all home skillet...I have NO reason to be optimistic. I'm a "proof is in the pudding" type.
  19. I'm not....yes, he underperformed on a bad D...but, he still registered double-digit sacks when every opposing coach, in the known world (NFL or not) knew exactly where he would be, every snap he was on the field. Spiller, way to low given his YPC and performance on a less than mediocre offense. Where the *F is Gilmore on this list?
  20. WTF does a guy have to do to earn the respect from his own fan base? He was a ROOKIE that put together a string of 11 games where he allowed 0, zip, zero, zilch....ZERO touchdowns, and only let about 1/2 of the balls thrown to his man get completed. "Hand work," seriously? Who did you rip that term off of? You're more excited about Bradham and Alonso rather than a guy like Gilmore building off a VERY GOOD rookie season? OP...if your #'s hold up, then this would be an epic failure...are you playing devil's advocate? Most of us on here are obsessed with stats, and for a guy to put up those #'s to only get comments about not liking his "hand work?" I'm not saying there is no chance for a sophomore slump, or some let down, but c'mon mannnnnn!! Gilmore is the player I am looking most forward to watching this year.
  21. not sure I would call it bad luck...seems to me that Tampa is a year or two ahead of us in the "turn this thing around" game. Also, an achilles injury to a kicker, IMHO, is career threatening.
  22. It'll be Hopkins. He has every advantage...youth, big leg, accuracy. While I've always liked Lindel, he's on the downturn of his career with maybe a a year or two left. He'll catch on somewhere and maybe put together a couple of good seasons, but Kickers with Hopkins' track record don't come around that often. He'll be our K for the next 15 years. Agreed, but I would take everything any coach would say, to anyone at this point in time, with a grain of salt. Rogers will be on thie final 53 as the #5 or 6 WR and play ST. IMHO, this sounds like "we're set @ 1, 2 & 3" and it's hard to make a huge impact as a #4 WR. This is how Marrone rolls...and not just with these type of players, but with everyone on the team. It's because of this that I see this franchise turning around right before our eyes.
