  1. The focus this year will be for him to be "process" oriented, to play more intelligently, better technique etc etc First year he will struggle and overthink. Once he settles down and absorbs the "process", he'll end up being a significant contributor.
  2. At this stage, Nsheke is the better tackle.
  3. Singletary showed lots of patience, vision, that he could break tackles, slipperiness and that he could catch the rock. By the end of season, he will be getting the most touches out of all the RB's. Wade has an uphill battle. Love his explosiveness but I'd be surprised if he made the final roster.
  4. He knew where he was going and what sort of girls were there. He wanted some "strange" the sex trafficking kind. That's my belief and I'm sticking to it.
  5. I would agree that the three you mentioned are full locks! Brown, Cole and Roberts. But I'd have to say that Zay is pretty much a near lock as is Foster. Zay more so than Foster even though I like Foster's ceiling more than Zay's. After that I would have to say its Ray Ray, Cam Phillips, McKenzie then Duke. At this point, I don't see how Duke makes the final roster.
  6. For all Singletary's detractors, you see that? Do you see how he effortlessly shakes and bakes and accelerates and gets immediate separation? His top line speed won't pull away but his quickness and acceleration will allow him to create space to get open or burst through holes. That was a nasty move, the LB stood no chance in covering him one on one. He doesn't rely on speed to get open, he relies on his quickness and burst.
  7. Stop being a goober.
  8. You guys are having a really hard time with the quotation marks
  9. My guess is that the Bill's believe they have a solid enough roster to mortgage away high draft picks for elite franchise like playmakers similar to what the Bears did for Mack.
  10. "They created the unnecessary dead cap space"
  11. This is not surprising to me at all. I used to live in Miami and I dont know what it is or of it's something in the water, the sun or something but the Miami fans are truly some of the most deluded fans of any sport on the planet. Rosen has been a mess and being on that current Miami team isnt going to help.
  12. This is where people too often make a mistake, they look at his 40 speed and make an immediate determination on his speed. There are different kinds of speed, it's true that if he gets out to the open field his top line speed is limited and he wont pull away from many defenders. However, anyone that has watched decent bit of film of him can clearly see that he has lots of acceleration. He has the speed to pull away early and burst through holes or around the corner, just that once he gets into the open field hes not gonna kick into high gear. His acceleration is well above average.
  13. I don't believe that to be the case at all. Oliver never had issues with effort, he's a high motor guy with extreme athleticism. I think people have this misconception of him because of his size. Oliver's floor is at a decent player level his ceiling is All Pro.
  14. Conventional wisdom would say either Brown or Foster due to their ability to shake free going deep and Allen's penchant to look for that. With that said, I think Allen will over correct and with defenses looking for Allen to go over the top with those two burners, I think Beasley will find himself with tons of opportunities to make plays. I think Beasley will be somewhere around 80 receptions for 900 yards Brown 55 receptions 800 yards Foster 50 receptions 750 yards Zay 50 receptions 600 yards I see a big uptick in passing yards this year.
  15. That is straight fire! ?
  16. Me neither Baldy, me neither.
  17. Well, that settles it. Time to draft a new QB
  18. That's fine, that would be your recommendation. Mine would be for him to totally recommit to football and not do anything to jeopardize his life long dream. If this turns out to be the case that he really didn't do anything aside from just being at a bar and having possibly just a simple disagreement yet he was still accused of something even worse. Then it shows that there is a target on his back and even though he may have not have done anything it all adds up, maybe not so much from a suspension standpoint but from potential suitors for employment. Makes him less attractive as a prospect. And to equate this to "How many 'respectable citizens' today were hell raisers in their twenties?" completely misses the point that I was making. We aren't judging him by our standards, we are judging him by a completely different one. The vast majority of us are not in a position to earn millions of dollars a year and we also do not have an intense coverage documenting our every move. If most of us have these sort of issues and get in fights in a bar or get busted with weed or what have you, no one really cares. No one is documenting it aside from a small blurb in the local paper. If most of us do somehow lose their employment because of it, what are they risking? At worst they make a semi lateral or slight downgrade from where they were. What does an NFL player have to lose? He goes from Millions of years to less than $100k a year. His actions are much more consequential than most average people. Not only that, their shelve lives are much shorter than most people's. Most people usually don't enter their best earning years until they hit their 40's and 50's. NFL players best earning years are in their 20's and early 30's. Equating this to average fans is an apples to oranges comparison.
  19. Some of you are missing the broader point, it's not even so much whether he was directly involved in this incident its that his awareness and judgement are sorely lacking. He has an opportunity that all kids grew up playing football dreamed of, which is to play in the NFL. Not only did he make it there but he has excelled. You only live once and you only have a short time period in your life to take advantage of that dream and the fact that he is putting himself in a position just by being in a bar threatens his lifelong dream. He should refocus and recommit himself to football and his dream. He should hold off on the bars for the next 8 years around when he retires and then and only then after his NFL expiration period ends he can hit up all the bars that he wishes to go to.
  20. Glass half empty posters are valued, Glass with just backwash remaining......... Not so much
  21. While I don't believe Shady being cut is likely it is certainly within the realm. Even though there weren't many running lanes for him last year he did seem to lose some of his bounce on his cuts and if that regression continues, well.......It could happen.
  22. Most players don't play 16 game seasons, so whether we are discussing it based off of 9 or 10 games is within the margin and in between the numbers you and I put forth on a prorated basis. Even if we were to go based off of your numbers, do 60 receptions, 750 yards, 13 yards per reception and 5 TD's justify $16 M a year? Before you answer I think it goes without saying that the final numbers were 40 receptions which is where he should be judged. It's not just a matter of staying healthy, it's much more than that. It's consistency, for everyone one good game such as the one you referenced, there are 2 games where he is a complete non factor and another decent game. He hasn't demonstrated over the past 3 years to be a consistent force on the field. That's been his biggest hangup along with his injuries. And no one doubts his talent, but we are way past that now.
  23. I get that and I know they could have had him that option year for, what? I can't remember exactly, $13M or something like that. The thinking for his departure and reasonably so was three fold. A) He didn't fit their culture, its well known and he even self-admits he was not a team first kind of guy that didn't get along with people including players in the organization. I can feel the collective eye roll from some quarters about the "culture" thing, but it's real and even more so for a brand new coach and system that is being put in place where it is paramount that they establish that culture. B) That they didn't value him as high as others. They didn't believe his consistency, attitude and his susceptibility to injuries warranted the sort of contract that he would seek in the open market. And C) The trade value for him was never going to be higher than what it was at that point and if they had already made the decision that he was not a long-term piece, it's best to cut bait and get the most that you could out of him, it wasn't as if the Bills were going anywhere anytime soon. So they could live with the drop off in talent over the near term. This was all very logical. It's as if you are trying to rewrite history. By the way, I also happen to believe he is prime to break out this year. Specially if Tyreek doesn't play. With that said, I thought he was going to break out the last two years, I really honestly did.
  24. Of course it doesn't because it goes against your narrative. Comparing Watkins to Cooks production is extremely relevant and telling, doesn't matter if it does much for you or not. Cooks put up more receptions and yards in one season with the Goff than Watkins did with a whole season with Goff and 2/3 of a season with Mahomes COMBINED. Fact. Also, what you stated was indeed not a "Fact". Facts are not opinion based, that "aggressive" attempt is a characterization by an NFL insider. However, what is a fact is that for the same amount of money that they signed Cooks with they decided to not pay Sammy with. Now, that is a fact. And in regards to the "Let's see how well these posts age" comment. That's kind of humorous considering that for those of us who said a couple years back that Sammy's open market value would very likely not be matched with his on-the-field production and potential injury risks and for those that were whining incessantly how it was a bad decision to not have paid him top dollar have aged extremely well for some of us and not so much for his defenders.
  25. I am getting a kick out of all the conspiracy theories and rewriting's of history and facts. Sammy Watkins has massively underperformed expectations and his contract. That is an indisputable position. The Rams traded for him and decided after one season that they would just rather lose their 2nd round pick, let Sammy play elsewhere and pay the money to Cooks. That is a fact. Which it would be nearly impossible to reasonably argue that the Rams didnt make the right decision. Right? Or do one of you want to have a go at telling me that the Rams made the wrong decision? That is now two teams that have decided to not to continue to pursue Watkins after observing him from up close. Another fact. Then he goes to the Chiefs and misses over a third of the season due to injuries and puts up pedestrian numbers with 40 receptions, 3 TD's, barely over 500 yards and an uninspiring 13 yards per reception. Even if he had played all season at the rate that he was playing, he still would have had about around 750 yards and less than 60 receptions and around 5 TD's. You guys want to know what Brandin Cooks did this past year with the Rams? 80 receptions and over 1200 yards. That is double Sammy's production from the previous year. Same offense, same position the only difference is the player. He's played with arguably 2 of the top 5 QB's this past 2 years and he still doesn't have a combined 1000 yards receiving. What's the excuse? Seriously, I would love to hear yet the umpteenth million excuse for Sammy's shortcomings. Let's hear it.
