My one peeve from the Giants game
Magox replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is where context matters. The Bills are up comfortably, they have the game under control with the defense playing lights out football. Allen is still a young QB and rather than potentially playing to Josh's inner instincts of attempting to play hero ball with less than 45 seconds on the clock and risking a turnover that could turn the entire dynamics of the game upside down and shift the momentum to the Giants, McD would rather go into halftime with a great lead and the ball to start the QB. At this stage of Allen's development, I'm ok with the decision. -
More examples of "culture". It's not a linear concept that easy to gauge it's more abstract which is why there are some on this board who don't buy into the concept of "culture" building.

I foresee for you a vacation from TBD sometime relatively soon.

When Zo retires, his presence will be missed.

A 2020 3rd and 5th and conditional 2021 pick that could range as high as a 3rd to as low as a 7th.

The last time WEO made a declarative jinx was against the Cowboys when we had that huge lead and Romo threw like 5 interceptions and said the game was over that the Bills for sure had it locked up. ?

Anyone else notice the lack of throwing in the red zone?
Magox replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Having Josh Allen's size and ability to run is a huge added dimension to our red zone capabilities from within the 10 yard line. It's just a nice luxury to have and if harnessed properly which I believe it will be the Bills will end up being a top 10 Red zone offensive team. -
Their helmets definitely clashed. He could get a 10k fine.

9/15 Bills at Giants Postgame Thread

This is just about everyone's comment to a tee. Focusing on the next play, next game. This is an example of what "culture" looks like. -

It's kind of sad to be a Bills fan and not come out and celebrate with your fellow Bills brethren after a victory but rather be so invested in your own negative narrative that you'd rather come out with more zeal after a Bills loss. -

There are only a handful of QB's who can make that sort of play. The juke on the Dlineman was nasty. Then he had the speed to get enough separation to make the throw to then throw it against the grain with that sort of precision and velocity is damn impressive. -
Solid B+ Those 3 straight TD drives including a 98 yarder was akin to an early knockout blow in the 2nd quarter. The game was in very little doubt after that. The only time that the Giants looked like they could be a threat Allen led them to another TD drive with that sick 3rd down conversion where he juked the defender escaped the pocket and threw a strike across his body on the run to Brown. That play was clutch. He made a few errant passes and held it longer than he should have a couple times but he was a standout performer.

You're a linear thinker.

You have to understand the mindset of WEO, he is shell shocked, he is used to constant conflict. This agreeing with him is foreign territory.

Many previous Bills QB's we've had over the past couple decades would have not made that throw. -
Devin Singletary, welcome to RB1 of the Buffalo Bills

He also has phenomenal vision, he sees the crease or whole quickly and attacks it. Along with his shakes and bakes and burst his vision may be his best attribute. -
Hyde makes a lot of sense because he has been less prone to fumble punts than McKenzie. Secondly, I think its refreshing that we have a coaching staff to have the moxie to start off the game throwing it the way we did, the offense was actually moving the ball decently. Personally I would have mixed a few runs in there but I dont hold it against them to do what they did. And lastly, for those who like to day McD runs a "Jauron Ball" sort of team like usual have missed the mark. Just because McD's forte is defense does not mean he is a conservative coach. Let's just put this Jauron Ball finally to rest.

Well....at least you admit it. This is what some of us were pounding on the table after he was drafted were saying. He doesnt have top line speed but he has exceptional burst (along with many other qualities) and that burst will translate to many 15+ yard rips. -
It really doesnt matter what some from the national media or from the few bitter fan base have to say about Allen, barring injury most will change their tune by the end of the year when they realize he isn't who they thought he was. Allen didnt play nearly as bad as the incessantly repeated "4 turnover" half they implied was on him. His most egregious errors weren't even the turnovers it was a couple of the other bad throws he had, the turnovers were either fluky or bad luck. The worst one being the fumble he had on the opening drive sack. Darnold had 5 passes tipped or batted away and none resulted in turnovers and Allen's did. That's how it sometimes rolls. He was actually moving the offense decently in the first half but these fluky turnovers killed any rhythm they were putting together and took points off the board. I saw Allen hitting passes to WR's in stride, scanning the field and spotting open receivers, looking poised, standing tall in the pocket and hitting darts under pressure and flailing the team to victory with two 4th quarter back to back 80+ yard drives despite all the flukes. That was BIGLY! He gets a solid B from me as he does have to learn to be a little better with his decision making.

Because there was no camera angle that showed definitive proof to overturn it. I believe he did as there was one camera angle showing he had crossed the line but you couldnt see the football.
