I wonder how Barry would look running into those 6 man boxes and 2 deep zones that the Bills face every week? Instead of the 10 guys and specific game plan designed around stopping him. Just musing…
Both fair points, but if Bobby Hart isn’t better than what we saw on Thursday then what is he doing on an NFL roster? The coaches obviously don’t think he is, which is pretty damning.
I have to seriously question whether a 70% Quessenberry was the best OT the Bills could have put on the field. He was absolutely terrible. If so, then I think you do have to question what the Bills are doing with their OL roster.
It’s funny, because at draft time I read that Rousseau was a reach and Basham was a steal. Now it seems that Rousseau could have been top ten and Basham in the mid rounds.
Who is the other starter opposite White? The way they’re rotating Benford and Elam I’d say it’s going to be Jackson.
Elam is #3 right now, even before White returns. Benford is getting more reps than him and Jackson never comes off the field.
Would make sense if it was actually possible to recover an onside kick under the current rules. At this point, it would basically just be giving away field position.
The drop off from starters to backups is pretty steep at several positions. Milano to Bernard. Edmunds to Dodson. Poyer to Johnson/Lewis. Those starters really need to play.
The question is when is it too early to make those kinds of calculations. It was still the third quarter, so who knows what the points situation is going to be like at the end of the game. It's hard to predict, as you can see by how it turned out.
