  1. Do you mean like from Bad Santa?
  2. It's good to hear that he's doing well but I'm honestly surprised that he's still on the team. They must really like him because he's never really been that good and he is a major headache between his illness and his suspension. It took a lot less for Kujo to get waived and he was probably just as good.
  3. This is the truth. They're probably thinking that they got a steal right about now. Then when he gets hurt taking a knee on a kickoff return the reality will set in.
  4. He did for one game as I remember... before he got hurt.
  5. The Chiefs collapsing would be a wild stroke of luck. That's not the kind of thing that happens to the Bills. With their luck they'll probably win the Super Bowl.
  6. Brees won a Super Bowl. Doesn't that disqualify him? Marino is my pick and I can't think of anyone else even close. But for the sake of argument, Kelly, Fouts and Moon would work too.
  7. We'll have to agree to disagree. He was no where as good as Talley. Maybe comparable to Hansen, who was much better all around but not as good a pass rusher. But Hansen was probably the 4th or 5th best player on that team's front 7. Schobel wouldn't even start on the defense Hansen played on. I watched just about every one of his games. He was a good pass rusher but most NFL teams have at least one pass rusher as good as him. He may have been a standout on those terrible teams but not in the big picture NFL. IMO.
  8. As silly and irrational as it is, that was the reason I didn't want the Bills to draft him.
  9. How could they be easy to defend when no one could stop their running game? I think you mean impossible to defend. If you want to see easy to defend that wait until they start throwing the ball around more this season and their points and yards per game plummets. They'll be less predictable though, I'll grant you that. A team with the league's beast running game ends up at 0.500 because they have one of the worst defenses. Like the Bills from the mid 70s.
  10. You are serious overestimating how good he was. Butch Byrd, Cookie Gilchrist and Eric Moulds aren't on the wall, and you're going to put Schobel on there? He was a good DE but not elite. And the fact that he shows up in all these "underrated" lists shows that he was not underrated at all.
  11. 2015 4.8 ypc, #1 in rushing 2016 5.3 ypc, #1 in rushing Best rushing teams the Bills have had since the 70s
  12. Underrated: Travis Henry Best: Kyle Williams
  13. Not DiMarco, and I wouldn't say Hyde is either.
  14. I kind of thought so too. Very superficial coverage of the list. Also, if the Pegulas buying the team was number 6, then Ralph founding it should have been #1 not number 10.
  15. It does seem like they're up his butt for some reason.
  16. Me too. I had a friend who committed suicide and I'm haunted by the thoughts of whether I could have done more to help him.
  17. There's no way that he could have been listed at #1 for political reasons but OJ was clearly #1. The only other player who could possibly be in the discussion would be Jim Kelly, but OJ was probably one of the 5 best backs in NFL history. Can you say that Kelly was one of the best 5 QBs? No way that Thurman, as great as he was, is even in the same conversation as OJ.
  18. Well the Pegula's are certainly not cheap. That doesn't seem to have fixed anything however. Maybe Ralph knew something after all...
  19. Would be awesome TV.
  20. I always saw Overdorf as a glorified accountant who was familiar with all the ins and outs of the cap and managed the numbers to make the contracts work. Maybe he gave financial options as to how they might get a player or how much they have to spend on one, but I don't think he was the guy that said Marcel Dareus is probably worth $X or Cordy Glenn is worth $Y. That had to be Whaley. Or if not, it should have been IMO.
  21. I suspect that the HC outlined the positions that wanted to focus on or type of players that they were looking for and Whaley came up with a list of options to pursue. The breakdown came in how aggressively they went after those guys financially. Of course the HC is going to say "give me the best guy we can get at whatever price." It's up to Whaley to provide some perspective on what different guys are worth, IMO.
  22. Maybe now OJ can finally track down his ex-wife's true killer.
  23. I like Whaley and don't necessarily disagree, but I'm sure he told Overdorf to try and make the numbers work for the players he wanted. Clay is a great example. They structured a ridiculous deal that Miami couldn't match and now they're stuck with it.
  24. Bills have most players on the list of top 25 players with outsized contracts, per Barnwell. Nice work in cap management... http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/20086567/the-nfl-25-best-big-money-contracts-adjusting-position-2017 The conclusion: "Doug Whaley wasn't a bad player evaluator at all, especially given the bevy of street free agents who came into their own in Buffalo. But he consistently failed to properly value players." Agree?
  25. You are a troll. Take this nonsense to PPP, if they will listen to it.
