  1. Tom Brady makes them great.
  2. Actually I think they do have a plan. Problem is that the plan changes every two years when they blow up their coaching staff.
  3. Yeah, it's not going to be easy coaching with Coughlin looking over his shoulder like Kilroy. Plus we all know how much Marrone loves interference and questioning of his actions. Still I think he's got a chance.
  4. You know I actually think Marrone is a decent HC but he has to let go of the offensive reins, cut Hackett lose and bring in a real OC. If he just focuses on the overall operation I think he can be effective.
  5. I'm sure it's nice to hear your head coach declare that you essentially need to start over and reboot your pro career- a real confidence builder.
  6. 4-12: Sean McDermott. Coincidence or dark omen?
  7. He's not going to survive waivers to make to PS. Obvious conclusions are:A) New staff has no faith in Jones and is ready to have him fight for a roster spot or be cut. Seems unlikely after one season as a "project" pick but maybe. More likely, B) they aren't going to bring in another meaningful QB via the draft and will give Jones another season to prove he has the potential to take the job. I can't say that I like this development.
  8. lol. Damn, even the CFL punks them. The Bills have a tough history...
  9. Hire him. Unfortunately for them, the list is long.
  10. I'd be on board with this but I seriously doubt they keep 4 QBs on the active roster. Only the Jets did that last season I believe.
  11. If you don't have a franchise QB then it's probably better to have as many prospects on your roster as possible. Yates takes up one of those spots. Yates woudn't take the job if that was the case because they would almost certainly not cut Taylor, their new high draft pick or Jones. That means Yates is a guaranteed cut at the end of camp. The camp arm is not going to be a QB as qualified as Yates, IMO.
  12. Can't let him go after one season. He was a developmental prospect when drafted. There's no way you can tell yet if he can do anything.
  13. Yeah, but only 3 would make the team. So would he just be a camp arm? I doubt it.
  14. Far better draft somebody with a chance to be someone rather that pick up a career journeyman as their final Qb. Honestly, just the fact that they brought him in concerns me. Are they seriously considering not drafting a QB in the first two days of the draft?
  15. Let's be honest- since Madden and Summerall ended, broadcast teams have been clown shows.
  16. It's awesome that a guy with no broadcasting experience whatsoever can immediately be hired by a national network and be elevated to the top broadcasting team in his first season. I wish my career started out that way.
  17. Yes. A person is more than the worst thing they've ever done.
  18. I agree. DE would be a high priority for me. Dominating and deep front 4 has been the only proven way to stop the Pats offense in the playoffs. DE-QB-LB in some order in the top three rounds.
  19. Good luck getting fan support for the next three lame duck seasons in Oakland. Three seasons of terrible attendance and no home field advantage coming up. Nice work.
  20. Maybe he will break out and maybe he won't. Draft another DE in the first two days. This defense will not work without strong DEs. Why take a chance?
  21. Instant QB controversy. Would certainly be entertaining for the fans but probably wouldn't help the win column.
  22. Except Wade has never played a 4-3 or predominately press man defense in his life. So maybe he has just lucky that he never had those types of players or maybe you can only adjust so much.
  23. Probably doing better than his agent has done to date.
  24. I'd do it, but that kind of blockbuster 1v1 deal is very rare. Also, I don't think CB play is important enough in McDermott's defense to value or fully take advantage of a guy like Sherman.
