  1. Who? Ragland / P Brown - not MLBs. Limited range and pass defense ability. K Brown? - FA, unsigned.
  2. It's maybe not that simple, but I agree that scheme played a big part in his success. The Bills ran a very OL friendly scheme the last two seasons. That helped him and Kouandjio look better than than they have previously in their careers.
  3. Not if I were GM. Better be QB, DE or MLB.
  4. Can you imaging TBD if that happens? LOL.
  5. Would be great, but there's no 2014 Mario Williams in sight at this point. Looks like a decent prospect as rotational depth.
  6. From what I could tell, his tackling technique is to throw himself down at the runners feet and hope that he trips over him, Nice.
  7. To my eyes Gilmore is not worth the contract. He's been inconsistent in coverage and is a bad tackler. But Belichik knows defense and has seen a lot of Gilmore. You'd have to assume that he thinks he can become an all pro caliber player. That concerns me.
  8. Exactly. What I find crazy is that Houston thinks so little of Brock Osweiler that they would give Cleveland a second round pick just to take him. Lol.
  9. Youth is wasted on the young.
  10. Because there's a school of thinking that says that even if you don't know if Jones or Watson or whomever can get it done, you definitely know that Taylor cant. So if you believe that you can't win a championship with Taylor at QB then what are you waiting for? Move on.
  11. I agree with this. The story seems totally plausible to me. Here's my La Conjecture: McDermott wants to win now and establish a culture of winning, so he wants the best available QB which he thinks is Taylor. Maybe they even make the playoffs with Tayler. I also suspect he wants to use the top pick on a player who can make an impact immediately, like a MLB. Whaley wants all efforts put into finding a long term QB solution that can produce a championship and thinks having Taylor on the roster taking all the first team snaps will slow down the development of any prospect. He probably wants to draft a QB at one or two as well so they have him waiting in the wings in case Cardale Jones doesn't cut it. I can totally see it.
  12. I think they'd be better off drafting EJs replacement and having a chance at getting someone good.
  13. I don't think he's made a final decision, right? The decision may still be out of their hands, and either way they need to plan for not having him so it doesn't matter for now. That being said, if he wants to come back and is cleared medically then I give him a shot.
  14. He's decent, but decent RBs are a dime a dozen these days so it's going to be tough for him.
  15. He's decent, but not better than Tyrod so why bother swapping them out?
  16. Breaking: Bills thinking about QB position. No decision yet. Head coach and OC to have lots of input. Nice article.
  17. Good in zones. Less good in man, which is one reason why Rex wanted to replace him. Would provide good depth but probably too expensive for depth and on the downside of his career. He does have great range and playing safety would cover his shortcomings in man coverage. I agree that he is not an ideal tackler for the position though, especially in this new defense. May be worth a shot to see how he translates but it probably won't be here. I suspect he'll get picked up as a CB by someone.
  18. Good thinking. You have a good financial head on your shoulders.
  19. He quit because he didn't want to coach for Rex, IIRC. He would have needed to run a totally different defensive scheme and it would have been a dead end job if you're a DC and want to be a HC again. It was pretty much a forgone conclusion that he was gone after Rex was hired.
  20. True. The smart move would have been to hire the manager of a local restaurant chain. That would REALLY shake things up and turn the franchise around. Maybe if Lynch doesn't work out that can be the next hire.
  21. Coaches always talk about running what works best for their players and "putting their players in the best position to succeed", but in reality no coach is that good. They don't have such a great breadth of knowledge and so much flexibility in their concepts that they can run anything effectively. Coaches have a philosophy. They will adapt it somewhat to suite their players and evolve it over time but can not and typically will not try to switch from black to white to suit personnel. Dennison has a philosophy and the Bills are going to employ it more or less. If some of their players don't fit well then they will be phased out.
  22. Qualifications are irrelevant. Mabye as an outsider he can drain the swamp in the 49er front office.
  23. Was awesome. I was out of school for a couple of weeks. My parents were stuck at work and I stayed with my cousins for a couple of days. The snow drift ran right up onto the roof of our two story house. I wanted to climb up onto the roof but my parents wouldn't let me. :-)
  24. I think that was Joe Klecko. Or so the rumor goes.
