  1. I have played Madden since the second game came out back in 1991, John Madden Football '92.... ...HOWEVER... There are many of us who stopped buying this POS product way back in 2020 because it is not real simulation NFL football, but an arcade-like version of NFL football. The animation based "Frostbite Engine" they use is utter crap, and everything funnels to MUT. NO "old guys" should be playing the current versions of Madden- EA should lose its exclusivity and a real quality product from hopefully 2K will be made. Save your time and money because Madden isn't it.
  2. I am, it is just tough getting old! Sometimes the challenges in our lives prevents us from doing what we really want to do, but I make the best of it thanks to a great woman by my side that's been there for over 20 years now. I really do appreciate the thoughts and thank you!!! GO BILLS, BILLS BY A BILLION!
  3. Despite my father being murdered in Niagara Falls, I love the area myself, and I have lived all over the country and overseas. Unfortunately time has caught up with me and my disabilities make it extremely hard to live in colder climates anymore, otherwise I probably would move to WNY somewhere. Fortunately through the magic of the internet I can live vicariously through some who still live there and can go to games. My mother also does the same and she does through her Lew-Port High Facebook group... she's almost 80 now and I feel so bad that her connection to the area is drying up.
  4. The amount of high risk collisions in college and pro football accounts for the numerous cases of CTE, and to lump it in with all of the other contact sports is disingenuous. The man still played college and professional football and it is still very much a possibility, even though this snap counts were not nearly as high as others who played in the NFL for 7 years. The percentage chance of someone in munitions in today's US armed forces getting CTE is probably much lower compared with football players exposed to a lot of high risk collisions.
  5. Now I must ask.... Can we get the NFL to finally have someone else make an NFL video game BESIDES EA??? Could you imagine the innovation bump by not renewing their exclusivity? Madden needs it BADLY.
  6. Politicians who vote for public stadium funding are your issue really. There are a ton of things I don't support that are funded but that's how our form of government works. We don't get to pick and choose...
  7. IT WAS AGAINST THE RAIDERS. Our problems HAVE ALWAYS stemmed from playing our rivals and not much weaker teams. I'll revisit this post in a few weeks when we get to the heart of our schedule.
  8. Big week this week! Some notes... - McCord has looked pretty cool under pressure, so this will be a huge test whether or not this carries over once he gets top level rushes in his face. He's definitely looking more Burrow-like which is a positive. - The offensive staff needs to do a better job in allowing McCord to spread the defense out in their playcalling... far too much short stuff which can be dangerous. - Is it me or are the RBs not much of a speed threat outside and are very north-south oriented? I don't think that Notre Dame will be too worried about covering outside runs, which could be an issue. - The defense has played great and has been quite sharp, which is VERY encouraging. If the offense has long stretches of little production, the defense could be huge factor in keeping it close enough to pull out a victory.
  9. Any updates? I couldn't find any.
  10. He was finding his rhythm in the entire second half, but by that time it was too late and he got hurt again.
  11. People who paid lots of money and didn't get any special attention at the end of the day aren't former Bills legends who are at the game to be honored and that's the truth you are missing.
  12. I still can't believe this guy has a job... the victimization is strong in him
  13. If I invited anyone famous to my home I wouldn't seat them at a separate table next to the bathroom even if I was serving steak and lobster... you treat someone with the respect they deserve if you are the host.
  14. Most of the coaches in college football aren't either, so?
  15. Jets talking heads on TV now going absolutely bonkers, and Mangini heads up the list. In what universe does a team as talented as ours lose a non divisional game to the 2023 Raiders at home? They are 1-0 but seriously, they beat the Broncos by 1 point. The line is -8.5 for a reason, and I hope that the Bills come out and crush the Raiders... not just to prove him wrong but to get back on track and for the mental health of the team.
  16. I already apologized to him for my angry response earlier... I was steaming long before the Jets won the game and I was just apoplectic. Everyone could see that Josh lost the game and I broke my own rule commenting right after a loss, especially after a big loss.
  17. Exactly!!! Thank you for that. GO BILLS!!!
  18. I profusely apologize for my reaction to your post @Dopeyon Monday night... I was incredibly angry long before we eventually lost and I broke my rule of posting after a loss. I should not have done it and I very much regret it. I'm sorry.
  19. Take your smarmy BS bait post and shove it.
  20. Well, the first Sunday with YouTube's new NFL Sunday Ticket has passed, and so I'm wondering of those who have it, what did you think? I was very happy with both the picture and the connectivity over the course of the afternoon. It was very easy to switch between games and overall I was very impressed.
  21. KINGcaid must be the choice... it's original and fun.
  22. YES!!!! FINALLY someone who is older than I am besides Shaw.... and so, I get to say... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLD MAN!!!! 😉
  23. I am not Christopher Reeve, however. There are many who could do it, but I am not that person. Robin Williams wasn't that person either. It's not a bad thing to have differing opinions on how a person would handle being almost completely paralyzed.
  24. So if he's not dead and almost completely paralyzed (below the waist and right arm), how is that living? Personally I would not want to be alive if that happened to me, period. I simply cannot process this update going from dead to almost complete paralysis it makes me so sick and is extremely heavy on my soul after finding this out. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-former-nfl-wide-receiver-mike-williams-suffered-complete-paralysis-from-waist-down-from-life-threatening-accident/ar-AA1glN0B
  25. My grandfather and father worked construction jobs for decades, and ironically both ended up causing their deaths prematurely (my grandfather worked at Hanford in the 50s and the radiation led to brain cancer). Most of the time former NFL players end up in white collar jobs or other opportunities in sports, which is why I thought it was sad that he entered the field that he did. Amen.
