  1. The Bills should never draft Haloti Ngata as he'd be a total bust.
  2. It's not sensitivity but respect for probably the most wise and well liked Mafia member on TBD... that's all... nothing personal, promise!
  3. "Justin Herbert? Justin Herbert? He's not better than Josh. Naaah, fam, just naaah."
  4. I think that only @Shaw66should be allowed to use "The Rockpile" anything for the heading in their posts... this is false advertising for those who get the very best quality insights and assessments from him instead of this. .02
  5. It's not our job to do the research and to find "the guy". You have to go through individual assistants and available HCs and assess them and rank them first. None of us have that expertise. All we know is that the ultimate goal of the franchise is to win a Super Bowl, and so far with the talent we have it is unacceptable to not even get to the Super Bowl, much less win it. We DO know that at least. He's in a make or break year, and we'll see what happens come early 2024. You can't just shrug your shoulders and say "who's the guy?" and retain a coach that is not performing at the standard expected with the talent we have. That's not what winners do, that's what people that accept the ineffectual status quo do.
  6. Do you not see all of the very successful hires out there like Doug Pederson, Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay? Where did they come from, the ether? If you do a proper job at vetting candidates, and with some luck, you could get a HC like one of them... to not to even try and continue to accept Marty Schottenheimer-like coaching is UNACCEPTABLE.
  7. Mike Mularkey is a chump. Dick Jauron is a chump. Sean McDermott's record says ANYTHING but chump... ridiculous
  8. As a member of the Doesn't Know When To Quit Club, I felt like it was needed! You're welcome! I blame Josh and his Hide the Wild Pickle Adventure from the bar to the boudoir 😂
  9. Look, it doesn't take a guru or an expert to see that this year is a make or break year for McDermott... he now has full control over the defense and has all the weapons he needs on both sides of the ball to win a championship. Remember that head coaches like Don Shula, Tony Dungy and Andy Reid were all fired for lack of performance and their former teams all won the Super Bowl. Coaches like Marty Schottenheimer and Marvin Lewis both won a ridiculous amount of games but failed to deliver with the talent that they had. This year must be at least a Super Bowl appearance kind of a year, and if you don't believe that this is a make or break year for him then your standards aren't acceptable. I have been through decades of many losing miserable seasons and ohh boy I remember the pain but in this case I feel McD may be wasting our window and I hope he proves me wrong.
  10. You have the power to end this thread devolution by just not responding anymore...
  11. How do you KNOW that Stefon didn't already have those serious conversations with Josh, and he didn't change his behavior? You have no idea. I had been in a senior leadership position leading young people in the military for years, having to do the delicate balance and delving into some serious subjects. I know what the difference is between a closed door conversation and a public rebuke. A public rebuke is rare, but sometimes you have to go to extremes to do what you can.
  12. Put pressure on a guy who is GUARANTEED to get paid and can't be realistically traded by only paying a fine for his absence??? Yeah, whatever guy. Sounds like you have a bias.
  13. Sometimes leadership involves a shock, and ***IF*** some of these rumors are true regarding Josh, he did the right thing here. Unorthodox moves can lead to a reset which makes the team even stronger, or it could fail- a risk, but if it's true then something had to happen. We don't know the full story, so until we do get more information, you really can't say if he was right or wrong.
  14. That's because each one of them (Graham, Sully and Wawrow) are fatally flawed in the eyes of most of Bills Mafia.
  15. For me, I have always been in a battle over this... having Aspergers is sometimes a cruel thing because I can sometimes say stupid things and sound like a know-it-all and then turn around and try to rectify it because the filter doesn't always work. I have always envied those people you mention because they don't have the same sort of problems and they can work solving complex problems without the emotional baggage that I have to bear. Those people are the true inspiration for those of above average intelligence or greater, that's for sure.
  16. Ahh, well then that makes sense. I'm not beholden to this thread! Fortunately there was no social media during the Bickering Bills years... but of course we weren't the team we are now back then. Chris Burkett was no Stefon Diggs!
  17. They are most certainly not "chuckling" after this, I'll tell you that much... something is seriously wrong and you're treating it like it's no big deal. This is a very big deal. This is our window, and team chemistry is CRUCIAL if you want to win a championship.
  18. Handy tip... if a key on the keyboard is broken, you can use the virtual keyboard on any Windows 10 or 11 computer, in case some people don't know about it. All you have to do it go to Personalization-->Settings and turn the virtual keyboard icon on under Taskbar.
  19. That's utter bunk- Josh is too good of a dude... probably the worst theory I have seen all day. Just wow.
  20. This is 2023, not 1993... communications have advanced to the point where you don't need to physically be at work to hash out important items. Do you honestly think Beane met every single person he worked a trade with or a deal with in person every single time before acting? NO.
  21. I am following you and your logical approach makes sense, but Stefon has done this before in Minnesota and it never was resolved and only through a trade. That's my major concern in all of this... does he do this after the magic begins to fade at every stop, or is it different? I'm taking the wait and see approach.
  22. It's not panic time, but the events of today are DEFINITELY concerning, wouldn't you agree?
  23. The problem with this thinking is that you have no idea what was said and how everything went down. You already have a tense situation by McDermott letting Chad Hall go to the Jaguars, then Stefon's brother is involved possibly in an assault, and then whatever happened this morning blew up. It's not a normal situation, but you are treating it like one.
  24. The Texans went through this with Watson with respect to perception... you can't ignore a coaching consult with Diggs and take a coaching consult with Allen... players will see that as racial and that's pretty serious. That sort of perceived double standard can rip a team apart, so let's just see what develops.
