Bears and Dolphins request interview with Brian Daboll
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Part of me wouldnt be too upset if he left. I think Allen has matured to a level where hes confident in his abilities. Another OC might take this entire offense to new heights. But if Daboll stays im cool with that too. Lets be honest - its hard to criticize much with this coaching staff. The results have mostly been there -
Anyone else worried about daboll heading into the playoffs?
bobobonators replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
If this team doesnt shoot themselves in the foot with bad penalties and we get out of these sporadic offensive funks, we can beat anyone in this league. No doubt in my mind. This defense is statistically better on paper compared to reality - they can be exposed. But theyre really good and good enough to win a super bowl in tandem with our great offense. Speaking of our great offense - we just have to limit stupid penalties and execute better in the red zone. 30,000ft view of things. We are 1 of I’ll say 2 or 3 teams in the NFL that have it all - great defense and great offense. We just need to be hitting all cylinders at the same time if we’re going to win it all. -
Im not complaining. I dont presume to know 1% what Daboll knows and I like the dude. But the playcalling and run selection at times really makes me scratch my head a bit. Motor was gashing them in the run game and he disappears from the game for over an entire quarter. Meanwhile Allen goes like 2-12 in that span. I get Allen is a stud and our franchise. But if something is working really well why abandon it. Not complaining here, just wondering what Im missing when he does this bc its not the first time.

Chiefs v Broncos (Eagles v Cowboys page 23)

Can this narrative STOP. Its nauseating. Remove the tinfoil hats and enjoy the game. -
I like the cardinals. Something about a 5’5” QB being awesome and a cancer survivor at RB that makes me root for them.

A considerable part of your post was dedicated to convincing yourself Lamar isnt good enough. Just this season, Lamar Jackson broke the NFL record for most wins by a QB under 25, eclipsing Dan Marino. Hes already won an MVP. Still not enough though. Just contain him. Lmao. Who do you propose the Ravens replace him with? If im a Ravens fan, one in hand is better than two in the bush. And comparing Lamar to Flacco is sad. Flacco was never a game changer. He had a few decent seasons. Answer this: what more could you possibly expect out of Lamar (or any young QB) at this point in his career? And please dont say “win a super bowl,” because there are countless amazing, franchise QBs that never won a super bowl. And certainly not by the age of 25.

Its the simple hypothetical of him being insane. Which may be a possibility. And yes if you are insane the courts treat you differently. Stop making straw-man arguments. I never said people can do whatever they want when theyre mentally ill and their actions dont carry ramifications. I never said that - theyre simply viewed and treated differently.
-
I think you are wrong here. If someone has a mental health condition, their actions cant be viewed in the same manner as someone who is right of mind. The courts say it is so and common sense does too. I wouldnt view it as an excuse per se, but a reality (or lack thereof in this case) of their mental condition. Clearly i know nothing of AB, im simply playing the hypothetical game here.

There are two weeks left in the season and we havent secured a playoff spot. The players know this. Id be more concerned if this was a week 5 game. Its balls to the wall from here on out. No one is being overlooked.

I agree. Anytime we can win @NE is a good sunday. Taking the lead in the division is the cherry on top.
