  1. I'm in reasonable to good shape and I need assist to do full sets. I could probably do ag least 6 without I would think. Pull ups are no joke. I had zero expectation that Howard could do 1 I do have a bit of shoulder trouble though
  2. Ideally, from a fan standpoint (and probably owners too).... yes. But will never happen. It isn't fair to the talent.
  3. I just done see him settling on modest beginnings (which is absolutely necessary IMO). Forming the teams as one entity with him as the president feeds into ego and control and is also bad for the league. I think he might be counting on capitalizing on all the Trump supporters who are fake boycotting the NFL (some are). Those people may watch in the beginning, but won't stick. As someone said.... start modestly, make it very friendly to players. mid size cities and venues, probably regional. That is better. The Alliance of Football or whatever it is called stands more of a chance making it to year 3 and year 5. Them jumping the start by a year also helps. I would bet that the Alliance gets the 2nd tier, 2A would be CFL, and McMahon will get the leftovers (if his history treatment of his talent is any indication)
  4. I don't know about clinical data, but to get your body to cut fat, that is the best/most efficient way to do it. I learned it from research and trying different things (years ago). Found all I needed to know on the bodybuilding.com forums. Here is an explanation https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=173439001&p=1481919401&viewfull=1#post1481919401 https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165843261 That type of thing, when implemented made fat fall off quickly and easily. I have provided a few people with the same info and they (if they are committed) see "rapid" results. If you are just maintaining or are an already in reasonable shape person (or an athlete), a distribution closer to that link is more advisable. And yes to caffeine. If you are dieting, it is your friend (but with care). Id also add, drink a lot of water.
  5. Drinking calories and sugar is probably the biggest culprit in most individuals' struggles with weight
  6. The other league stands much more of a chance than the XFL IMO. McMahon said very little to give me faith... and his history of squeezing the life and keeping his thumb on his talent will stunt any chance for survival.
  7. Full Keto is dangerous What you can do, if you are trying to drop some fat, that's less dangerous and more sustainable... Figure out what you body needs per day calorie-wise. There are various calculators out there. Try a few. Then subtract 500-1000 calories and make that your goal. Track every single thing you consume in My Fitness Pal. You want to shoot for (around) 50% Protein, 30% Carbohydrates, and 20% Fat. Supplementing with protein powders (whey and/or Casein mixed with water or unsweetened almond milk) or a protein bar is probably a must. Lean proteins like Chicken, eggs, (cheese), and fish are preferable to red meats. The best carbohydrates are consumed in the form of clean ones like Brown Rice or Quinoa.... but overall, if you land in you calorie goal and nutrition distribution, you are good. Dieting, you will find that a few pieces of bacon arent worth it if they take up like 20% of what you can eat for the day. Drink black coffee throughout the morning. It suppresses appetite. Lift weights 3-4 times per week. Can also do some cardio if you like, but not absolutely necessary. The protein you are consuming, along with the caloric defecit... along with keeping the muscles you have intact (without weights your muscle will burn off with fat)... will ensure that you are burning fat with the highest possible efficiency, which will make you appear "cut" when you get down. Shoot to lose 2 pounds per week. Adjust you calories to hit that average.
  8. I remember when I was his age.... I started working in pro sports. My friends all thought it was great and I "made it". I was able to get tickets for people, was able to get free goodies, and was able to go to games (I had to arrive at 5:30AM on a gameday and worked for 13-14 hours). It had ruined my enjoyment of the sport. For the time I was in baseball and there was a homestand.... forget it. Ill see everyone in a few weeks. It was a highly coveted position (as most are), so I was slapped with a static salary and 'expected' to put in 50-70 hours a week. Also, lots of poor organizational politics that didnt work well unless you were well connected and/or a major butt kisser. On top of that, my friends, typically working normal/conventional weeks and maintaining a social life, were making more money than me. I hung on for a few years (not including undergrad intern work), and eventual made a similar decision to go into the conventional working world. Probably a similar situation to this kid.
  9. Very strange behavior to be honest (and I like Graham). I wonder if he is trying to get one of them buyouts.
  10. This. He wouldn't have left if he didnt want to. I liked him. His voice was a little rough/sounded like he has a perpetual cold... but I enjoyed his presence, as well as when I caught his show.
  11. Nix Donahoe Whaley -------------------------------------------------------------- Brandon Levy
  12. One of the things I liked the most about the Bills/Colts game was that every millimeter couldnt be contested and scrutinized.
  13. It is awful. MLB was where it jumped into the territory where I am now desperate to just get rid of it altogether. When a player slides in safely while the tag is applied.... but loses contact with the base for a fraction of a centimeter for a millisecond, and they are trying to dissect the play to see if he was really out..... get out of here with that. NHL with their "coaches challenges" they crowbarred into the league. Nothing in sports is more self-depreciating than their offsides challenge rule. There was also a game in the conference finals: Houston? where Houston 'won' it at the end, but they reviewed it to see if a Golden State player committed a foul on the rebound. So they called a foul via video replay and made the Houston player shoot, giving Golden State a chance to tie/win again. It was garbage and ruined the end of a terrific game.
  14. Im not an NBA guy.... but have watched the conference finals and last night.... lamenting the NHL and liking the excitement the NBA brings..... Until that silly "video review" or whatever that was. Spoiled the game for me. These leagues need to eliminate video replay. It was silly. The announcers and the "staff referee" couldnt even describe what the referees were supposed to be looking for on the replay, how can they reverse a call and cost a team an NBA finals game for that?
  15. I really did enjoy the Tim Graham show. It's a shame its done for the summer, and maybe forever. Such a refreshing alternative from wgr... (I'm not a hater of wgr but it gets extremely redundant).
  16. That is the Pegulas' fault. They elected to move on with the same people (and had a frustrated head coach walk the plank voluntarily because of it). With both teams they did this.
  17. We were getting the run-around for almost 20 years, with the Bills' poor moves and . When the Pegulas purchased the team, Sullivan and Gleason were on point to ask about hiring a team president. Instead they stuck with the people in place, and predictably, the franchise hit a series of embarrassing icebergs. Same thing with the Sabres. Pegula came in and resisted change and bringing in experience. Retained management and only started to make changes when fan and media pressure became too much (and even then they made a botch of it). There has been a series of awful moves there. As a result, we have a few inexperienced management teams for each franchise, with Terry and Kim firmly involved, to the point that Terry is helping assess quarterbacks and Kim is President of both teams. If this structure works out.... great. If not, I don't want another move bypassing experience in upper management. I would like critical voices in the media calling them out on it. Because they obviously want to be deeply involved and hands on with these teams, I just hope that the Pegulas' influence and power isnt becoming too strong and will be above criticism (or at least will have the ability to avoid a lot of it locally). They neutered WGR when they brought the Bills broadcasting rights over. 1270 the Fan hasnt been able to get the listener base to maintain a radio show. I wonder how much they have to do with these moves at TBN. It would probably be pretty easy to tilt their business decisions with financial investment or patronage.
  18. It started when Pegula bought the Sabres and tried to publicly instruct the media to be overly positive and write nice things about Tim Connolly instead of wondering why the Sabres refused to move on from him. TBN mocked him (as it was a ridiculous notion), and since the relationship has been pretty rocky. It goes both ways too. Pegulas have been every bit as spiteful as TBN columnists.
  19. The Buffalo News is at 0% fault for the Bills' sorry history as well as the Sabres "Pegula-era" which has been by far the darkest in franchise history
  20. I also wonder if Sullivan's appearances on WGR were halted as a condition of being the broadcast partner of the Bills (and Sabres). Overnight, Sullivan was gone and WGR became a lot more 'positive'.
  21. Damn you 2018 for putting people in a position where they are debating/defending Rosanne Barr
  22. For me, it has. A big turning point is that kid who keeps showing up at parades with the sign of all the Championships he has seen in his short life. I have always hated the Bruins for the most part from the 80s Sabres rivalry.... but it cooled when the Bruins kind of had a long rough stretch. It is intensified now, they are one of my most hated NHL teams. Celtics, I never really had an opinion of, never been a huge NBA fan. This year, watching the playoffs, I really wanted them to lose. Red Sox are complicated. I despise the Yankees more than any team (Patriots included). If the Red Sox are the #1 threat, I follow the scores and hope they win each day. I would much rather it be the Jays or Orioles (or Rays)... I certainly do not want them to win the World Series for those spoiled fans (although Fenway is very charming). I do home workout videos. On one of my videos (on P90x3), there is a woman who wears a "Boston Strong" tank top. The lead guy asks her a question and she answers it with such a thick, annoying, and obviously exaggerated Boston accent, I actually get annoyed and upset and usually find myself cursing at the TV.
  23. As far as you know, maybe having witnessed similar moves elsewhere.... what will the most likely 'replacement' be with The Buffalo News? Promoting an intern? Finding a low payed person from the 'blogosphere' who will be happy with a job and a press credential? Syndicated filler? Or just nothing/reduced content?
  24. I actually believe it may have been a condition of WGR becoming the official broadcast partner of the Bills.
  25. So what is next for Buffalo News Sports? Do they just fill in the voids with low-paying "talent". End/limit the coverage?
