Good call with Teen Angst
-
The 90s are my wheelhouse decade due to high school and college years. I believe the 90s was the last great decade of music (it took a turn for the worse in the early/mid 00s when downloads and trying for the homerun single consumed the industry and it went 100% commercial). Favorite Song? Probably the entirety of the Alice in Chains Unplugged session maybe my favorite 1 hit wonder

Who is Brad Riter and Why Did He Leave WGR?
May Day 10 replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We discussed it here before, but there is nearly 100% chance he was looking to change his career anyways and was just making a good little gimmick for the show/station that bore fruit. I like Brad Riter when he is on. I do not hate each individual host at all (I would rank Bulldog as the worst).... but the station's shows and subject matter is so stale. Riter comes in and puts it on its ear a bit. He had a fill in show last week where he only played and discussed a random collection of clips from his shows 10+ years ago and I was captivated. -
it makes sense, based on things like that, the organization taking her out of the forefront a bit.... but it could also be a response to the tide of rumors. You had a few people like Tim graham specifically saying "Its a recognizable person" and 'you will know her' or something like that... narrows the list down quite a bit.
-
As far as DNA and photographs? No I know first hand that this was a problem, dating back to when he was still "only" the Director of Marketing and having relations "secretly" (everyone knew) with a (married) secretary. A few of the media guys (at least Graham) also floated it out there that this was kind of an on-going problem with him.... as well as that one poster here (Kirby). Kirby is always a Russ Brandon supporter but admitted this was a chronic thing with him. And I'm not sure if it is/was Lauren Hall. It might just be a rumor that got legs and became generally accepted.
-
Its very rotten ice walking into that territory. The Bills could be open to a lawsuit(s) and a larger public embarrassment if they let her (and Russ' other victims) go because of this. Especially depending on who (if anyone) filed a complaint or brought it to management (or HR's) attention. You cant have a business, especially a large and publicly visible one, where a high level manager (ownership level) leverages his position and status to have sexual relationships with employees. It is bad on numerous levels. When I hear about this, I don't think "good for Russ", I think of him as a pathetic human. He really had a dream career, and he threw it away by being a scumbag throughout. Not to mention his family.

Make the Perfect Fast Food Meal
May Day 10 replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I havent eaten fast food in at least 11 years. and maybe just a handful of times in the last 15. I remember 11 because I had to stop at Checkers on my way home (7 hour drive) from the Sabres/Flyers Game 6 and it ended with me pooping my pants -
The Sabres are on a plan to really compete in 2020-2021. If you look at the way their salary structure lines up, as well as them stocking up once again on futures, 2020 will open up. There is going to be another CBA battle at that point and its likely a team with a clear cap conscience will be at an advantage at that point. As an aside, they will also be in good shape for the upcoming expansion draft. Eichel will be 23-24, Dahlen 20, Reinhart 24, Middlestadt 22. Along with whoever in this bulk of picks and young players emerge. They have 3 firsts next season. The likelihood on hitting on at least 1 of them is pretty high. The health of Rochester is what to watch. A healthy and good Amerks team where guys like Nylander, Asplund, Olafsson, Glotov, Borgen, etc are contributing and developing is where the first signs are going to come from. Good young players feeding the core above.... and consistent replenishing is the engine that makes the difference between good, sustainable NHL organizations and the dregs of the league.

LeSean McCoy allegations
May Day 10 replied to FeelingOnYouboty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im not sure... Of course, I only know whats been released. I would suspect IF true, McCoy isnt a criminal mastermind and this was a sloppy and bumbling operation and it will come unraveled. -

If you could go back in time to high school
May Day 10 replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Without the obvious hindsight investment stuff... Without a doubt would be to take academics a bit more seriously. Figure out what my profession would be and make a plan through college and the job market. Things turned out fine, but i really think i should have been an engineer or a veterinarian. I was not looking at life past 22. Also, the confidence with girls thing and knowing how to play the game. College years i would get a bit soft on partying and lethargy. Knowing what i know now, i would be able to maintain a pretty good balance of physique and having fun. Would have also maybe gone to school somewhere down south Also, travel a bit more. Never got a euro trip in -

I also discovered, after a number of briskets, that all the fancy store bought rubs, or homemade concoctions cannot compare to just kosher salt and cracked black pepper. -

I have never done a chuck roast. Mainly do Pork Butt or Brisket. Pork Butt (pulled pork) is probably the easiest/most forgiving/bang for the buck. I know with both those meats, it is important to (when its done on the smoker) to wrap it in foil and a towel and stick in a cooler for no less than 45 minutes to rest. I have done a few other things. Smoked Deviled Eggs are fantastic. Have done onion bombs which didn't turn out great. One thing I did was take large boneless chicken breasts, butterfly them, fill them with a mixture of cream cheese, cheddar, and chopped up jalapenos. Wrap with 2 pieces of back each and pin it with toothpicks. Smoke. Yum! Also, if you do straight up chicken on the smoker, I would suggest finishing it on a conventional grill. I always feel like straight smoker chicken tastes a little "rubbery". -
Which throwbacks are best throwbacks?
May Day 10 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Patriots old uniforms are amazing. I also prefer the old (non color rush) broncos from the 80s, 90s. Them and the Pats changed about the same time in a bad uniform trend in the late 90s/early 00s. The one that brought us the bills' pajama uniforms. I like the bucs' creamsicles... but I understand why they dont/wont ever really go back. Their modern design (pre gigantic helmet logo) also aren't bad uniforms and a good color scheme -
Iran showed so much heart. Loved watching them scrap
