  1. My gawd Metcalf!!!! I said this all off season, he was gonna blow up at the combine!!! Hello top 10 Metcalf
  2. Hollllyyyy shh********* Metcalf just ran a 4.33!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I love Harry and Metcalf most, but I like all 3 of those guys too. Such a great WR draft class.
  4. And there you go, just beat his time and ran a 4.54. I think that makes him a first rounder as he blew away expectations.
  5. Ran a 4.59 in just first attempt. See if he can improve on his second. Not a bad time, I think he needs to run sub 4.55 though to be a first round pick personally.
  6. Nope. He just ran a 4.49, solid time too.
  7. Lol, I didn’t predict he was James Hardy or gonna be a bust. I said the way he reads reminds me of what they said about Hardy in the draft. The way his tall frame affects his on field speed in and out of routes and how he drops more passes than he should. He is still an intriguing prospect, but he is one I worry about bust potential on a little more than the others that may be available. This board loves to twist people’s words into their own narratives.
  8. Metcalf is the one who compares to Megatron and is drawing those comparisons. Butler is more lumbering with his long stride and drops too many passes. I’m worried a bit about Butler, more i read on him the more he sounds like James Hardy did coming out of college. Ill still I’ll be stoked if we got him in 2nd, but just some deja vu when I read about it him.
  9. I agree, and will come down to a combo of how highly they regarded him (if at all) last year, how they view the current class that will be available, and how desperate they are to make a move. Not all teams liked Rosen last year, Bills didn’t even have him on their board reportedly. So will be interesting to watch this unfold and see what interest there is. Also, they could keep both for 2020 and let them battle it out like Brees/Rivers, Aikman/Walsh, etc and then move the guy who doesn’t ultimately win the long term job. Oops, I wrote “3nd” rounder in the post you replied to ha. Obviously meant 2nd rounder. Typo ha
  10. No way he gets that much in a trade IMO. I bet it’s a 2nd rounder at best. I mean he spent a season sucking, so he won’t get a trade value return near what they invested IMO
  11. He said I claimed that he WONT be traded and WONT be cut and then asked "then how is he not on the team". So I corrected his statement and answered his question. And aren't most trades because a certain player doesn't fit on one team and another thinks that same player may fit on theirs? For example: Rosen has trade value if AZ does take Murray. People here want to trade for Ross who has 22 catches in 2 years, he has trade value too. My point was never that Zay is a complete bust, its that I believe they are going to bring in different types of WR's that do certain things better than Zay and he will fall down the depth chart. So I think Beane would make that trade in preseason (like AJM last year) before the cut down if he feels he isnt one of the top 3 WR's on the depth chart. Zay will lose value further if he is limited in opportunities being a 4th or 5th option on the team. So I would expect Beane to trade him before his value further diminished. All good, I knew this would be a divided topic, and I would probably be on the minority on this gut feeling. Its not to meant to be some "guarantee" where everyone is wrong if they don't feel the same. I get the other side, and this has been a lot of great discussion in this thread. If we don't add as much to the WR room as I expect, then sure I think Zay will be part of the team next year.
  12. I love football, its that simple. Bills weren't my first team, never been to Buffalo. Always had love for some local teams too even though I am a die hard Bills fan now and have been since the late 80's. So still like the Rams as my second team and liked them since the Jim Everett, Flipper Anders, Henry Ellard days. But my fan hood for them is minuscule to the Bills. Just like I love the Lakers, I mean my dogs name is Kobe. But still grew up a fan of the Golden State Warriors too as they were more regional to me. Was a big fan of the Run TMC days of Chris Mullin, Mitch Richmond and Tim Hardaway...but still always a Laker fan first.
  13. Why does everyone keep bringing up the "rookie contract"? You guys realize ALL our WRs are cheap, and Zay is the most expensive WR actually on the current roster right? And if we draft say 2 more rookies, they will also be on rookie contracts. Not to mention we have a ton of cap room if we sign one in FA too, and still will have Zay, Foster, Duke, and a probably rookie or two all on rookie or cheaper contracts. Zays "rookie" contract really isn't going to matter. If he keeps his job here it will be because he earns it on the field, not on his paperwork. Thats fine, its ok to think that. I mean I went out on a limb with a gut feeling, its not that big a deal. But you keep responding to me, and claim I said things I havent said. So I corrected you and answered your question. Not my fault you didn't read what I wrote or misread it.
  14. Cooper had been hardcore descending for in Oakland in 2017 and 2018. So he wasn't ascending, and everyone, including most this board, laughed at the Cowboys for giving a first round pick for him. But he had a major resurrection in Dallas from that point on validating the trade for Cowboys. He was a drop machine in Oak and a shell of himself in 2017 and 2018.
  15. Huh? When did I say he wouldn't be traded. Literally in my OP I said he would be traded and said it like 15 times in replies.
  16. The only way this affects our chances is IF we are pursuing him and it eliminates a competitor bidding on his trade. But, if Beane and McD don't play on pursuing a trade for AB, then our odds were already at 0% an another team dropping doesn't change our 0% chance. Personally, I don't think Beane is going to pursue him. McD and Beane both are draft guys, they fully believe in building through the draft. And this years draft group of WR's is both very good and deep. Lots of value. And listening to McD and Beane talk about the WR position at the combine only furthers this belief. They don't feel they need some clear cut #1. I think their plan is to be a good group of WR's out there that all excel at different parts of the game. I don't think their focus is in finding one dominant #1 WR. If we make a trade, I think the most likely candidate will be with the Bengals for Ross. If they can flip one of their extra 4ths or 5ths for him I think they might look into it. But I certainly do not think they would trade anything more than one of our 4th round picks, nor should they. So to answer your question, no I do not think this impacts us in anyway.
  17. LMAO: Then why root for Buffalo dude if no one good will ever play here? I mean thats the first really ridiculous thing I have seen anyone say in 7 pages of this thread. And like I already said, IF we ONLY bring in ONE more guy, then I absolutely believe Zay will be on this roster week 1. My prediction is based on bringing in 2 more relevant WR's, already said that multiple times. Name one thing Zay Jones excels at. Just one. You don't think we can upgrade from a guy who has yet to establish any part of his game as consistent in 2 years, has played 30 games and in 22 of them has less than 40 yards receiving, and only ever eclipsed 60 yards receiving 5 times in his career with zero 100 yard games? I get people don't agree, and totally fine with that, but you have a pretty low bar for a starting WR to think thats not something difficult to improve on. So the real basis of your argument is that we cant possibly upgrade on him because of a rookie contract and no other FA's will come here. The last thing that is an issue for this team right now is cap room. They will make the best decisions they feel are best for the team, and cheap contracts will not be the end all be all barometer of those decisions. I don't know for sure Zay will be traded, I made a bold prediction and I stated its my opinion and gut feeling. If he doesn't, then great that would hopefully mean he really upped his game and thats great for the Bills. I would LOVE Zay to do that, I liked him out of college and have nothing against him. However, my confidence in him beating out the 2 additions I expect and also both Foster and Duke are not as high as yours.
  18. Nobody is trading a top 10 pick for Rosen after spending a whole season sucking. He has value, but its not top 10 value. I doubt they get a first for him. I mean they badly need a QB, invested a top 10 pick last year in him, and now trading him? What team is going to think he’s worth a top 10 pick if the team who spent a top 10 pick on him last year is already going to move on? Prediction: Cards WILL take Murray. I do think they are. But they will either keep Rosen this year to let the two battle it out like Brees vs Rivers, Aikman vs Walsh and trade the loser of the competition next year or they will trade him this year and get back likely a 2nd round pick, but not a first.
  19. Farve though didn’t go out on the field for a season and suck though. Not out of the question Rosen gets a first, but I think it’s going to more likely be a 2nd at most.
  20. Maybe read the OP at the very least or some comments. Never was it said he will be cut, the prediction was a trade based on presumed expected upgrades at WR during FA and Draft. Its fine to disagree, your not the only one, but calling threads stupid you didn’t read is...well...stupid.
  21. I don’t follow? I wasn’t expecting anything, just saw he was available and was curious if anyone else would be interested
