OT Ty Nsekhe (Redskins) to the Bills
Alphadawg7 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOVE this signing! He was labeled a major value add in FA, a bargain. He was a guy I was hoping for if we didn't land one of the other Tackles. I am loving our Free Agency overall. Very good spending so far, getting value while others over pay massively for questionable signings. -
Not sure why people keep bringing up "released" or "cut". Said in my Original Post I thought he would be TRADED and said it many times over in this thread. Never said Zay had no value and would be just outright cut. If Beane can't find a trade partner, I think they would keep him as a 4th or 5th WR still over cutting him.

Wr signings vote of confidence for Foster and Zay?
Alphadawg7 replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not really, he was still dropping passes and making catches he did make look hard. He also still was not good at getting separation and most his production came on broken plays where Allen bought more time with his legs. WR's need to help Josh by winning on their route, something Zay did very little of. -
Winning? Huh? They signed a couple LBs, the WRs were meh. Crowder was meh with cousins throwing him the ball. Not exactly a game changing signing. Bellamy? I mean he’s not even worthy of his own thread, yet someone started one. They haven’t won anything yet, I mean FA hasn’t even really started yet. That was a bad defense, going to take more that 2 LBs to fix it.

Report - Bills Interested in WR Adam Humphries
Alphadawg7 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would be stoked about either of those three. Also McLaurin too -
At this point DeVante Parker makes sense to me.

I’d be all about bringing him in if they cut him, he could certainly use a change of scenery. I’d be open to trading for him too for a late pick. -
Same difference ha

Yes, I was rather enjoying the responses. We all knew it was coming, so glad to see some got some good ones in before it happened ha
-
Hahaha I know, I was literally laughing out loud when I saw that. Figured I would try and throw them a bone as its been a bit much and its only first day of non tampering period, we havent even gotten to real FA yet haha.

You will fit in nicely around here. Welcome aboard

Well thats even worse because he didnt perform much for a #2. I wont hate landing Tyrell, lord knows we need WR help. But if Funchess got $13M what is he going to command. He has been in the league 4 years... His best year, and only 1000 yard season (barely 1000 yards) was 3 years ago because Keenan was hurt. Despite going over 1000 yards that year, Chargers STILL invested a top 10 draft pick for another WR in Mike Williams. Tyrell production has been worse each season since going over 1000 yards 3 years ago. He has upside, dont get me wrong. But I worry he is another Stevie Johnson. A guy who barely broke 1000 yards and got over rated. At least Stevie did it 3 times. This guy has seen his production drop each year, even with Mike Williams having a slow start to his career and Keenan missing more time. So I have a hard time getting excited about the idea of paying a guy WR1 money whose got one decent season on his resume in 4 years and wasn't good enough to carve out a bigger role on a pass happy team with lots of injuries to the other WR's, TE's and even RB's.

The stupidity of Free Agency summed up in one deal.
Alphadawg7 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For real right! Only saving grace, and I mean only, is that its a 1 year deal and Colts have stupid amount of cap space. -
Welcome. Since some noobs here cant seem to look for threads before starting the same threads over and over again I thought I would help you out with understanding the rules to help avoid getting in trouble with the mods First rule of fight club is to check the board to see if the thread already exists before posting a story. Second rule of fight club is to check the board to see if the thread already exists before posting a story. Wanna guess what the 3rd rule of fight club is? - - - - - Yup, you guessed it. 3rd rule is to stand at the edge of a cliff contemplating jumping while freaking out in first 6 hours of Free Agency that Bills are napping and all is doomed. Welcome to fight club.

While the $13M a year is crazy for him, its just a 1 year deal and Colts have so much cap room. So not a bad deal for Colts, if he plays up to it with Luck, they can resign him next year to a long term deal. He falls short, he is off the books or resigns a longer term deal for a more appropriate price. Not that its great, he's cheap value and really expect us to cut Ivory and then Gore becomes cheaper than Ivory. Maybe Gore can also help his buddy McCoy extend his career like him and play well for another year or two. Overall response to Gore deal has been positive outside this board. Not a game changing signing by any means, but I mean he is super cheap and despite his age has been solid. They are saying best deal in terms of value. -

Agreed. Hart was a doozy itself, but not like the madness of Kwon. -

Murphy had an easy out after one year and still does. Ivory, Gore and Bodine were all cheap. Ivory was also a solid contributor for us. Bodine is decent rotational guy who guy forced to start where he is not good enough to do that. None of those contracts are remotely close to as bad as the things we have seen today. -

Morse: Pretty good and young Center. Kwon: Undersized, cant tackle, torn ACL. I understand FA is going to create new highest paid players at positions each year, but at least Morse earned his payday by being a pretty good center. Kwon has missed 25% of his games in his 4 years and cant tackle. -

Another doozy -
Kwon Alexander. When will the 49ers learn? They love forking over massive UNEARNED contracts to "potential" as if those players are already Elite. They did it with Kap, Jimmy G, McKinnon, and now Kwon. Somehow, the answer to the trivia question "Who is the highest paid ILB in NFL History" is at the moment Kwon Alexander. How is this possible? He is an undersized LB whose best asset is speed. Now he is coming off a torn ACL so who knows how much that impacts his speed. He has missed at least 4 games in 3 of his first 4 seasons. He has one season over 100 tackles. Since 2011, only 9 players in the NFL have over 50 missed tackles. Kwon has been in the NFL since 2015 and already has 78. NOTE: He has missed a total of 16 games and parts of others. So he amassed those 78 missed tackles in just under 3 seasons too. YET, this guy is somehow the highest paid ILB in NFL History? While everyone was freaking out while guys like this (not him specifically) were getting grossly over paid for what they have done on the field, I am thrilled we don't have a FO making frivolous moves like this. This move could work out for the 49ers, time will tell. But man its crazy to see how much some of these guys are getting paid for doing so little. I think FA is off to a very good start for the Bills, now if we can land another quality OL like Williams, Saffold, Taylor, etc we will have had a pretty good FA overall.

Nice, now Allen can embarrass him for 2 more TDs a game twice each year

I prefer his brother Bill
