Bills 2nd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : TJ Sanders - DT South Carolina
Alphadawg7 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are people who will say we got lucky, everything was still wrong -
F-ing Ravens...every year they just have these ideal D picks fall in their lap. Hate they got him and Starks. Best D in the league after they moved Hamilton...and now they add these 2. Gross. Ravens are going to be a real problem next year. We better start thinking about them as our biggest obstacle to the SB next year than the Chiefs

Yeah...but talk is he did himself no favors in his interviews either...distracted, seemed disinterested, etc seems to be the buzz. He has potential, but the kid needs to land with a Tom Couhlin, Bill Belichick, Bill Cower like HC - a hard nosed guy who won't tolerate s**t who can get try and get this kids focus and head on straight. Right now he reminds me of the arrogance and entitlement of Wilie Beamon when he first found success in "Any given sunday" lol

Bills 2nd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : TJ Sanders - DT South Carolina
Alphadawg7 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair, and Beane literally said that in his last interview before the draft...alluding to having a higher priority on secondary help than DL for those reasons heading into the draft essentially. But DT was def still a need, we need to get off the field on 3rd downs...near last in the league was a massive issue. Getting more guys on the DL to just get us off the field one or two more times a game puts us literally in the SB this year and past KC in our last 3 losses. So if TJ can just impact 3rd downs and help our front guys affect the play and get us off the field more, thats a pretty important aspect we have literally been devoid of. I get what you are saying...but its not 80% of the snaps we are struggling the most - its those 3rd down plays where we give up 3rd and long because our corners failed and our front guys got no pressure. First 2 picks literally were to change those very things, which is what helped Philly dominate KC a game after we got embarrassed nearly every 3rd down by KC. Will it work? We will see, but I get the intent here. -
I thought Raiders would take Sanders here to groom behind Geno...lmao...he may not go this round now

Shedur Sanders Make To Round 5? (Poll) - UPDATED x 3

I don't know anything here...but I have a feeling Raiders take him to groom behind Geno...steal this late and I don't think Carrol is afraid of handling his ego. -
Bills 2nd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : TJ Sanders - DT South Carolina
Alphadawg7 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
To be fair though: Any DL player we chose comes in essentially as a rotational piece, that is just how we run our DL here. Whether that is the right or wrong way to do it is fair to question, but it is how they use them, even Ed -

2 myths already for a guy whose been a Bill less than 30 minutes...might be a new record. He is too small - Incorrect. We gave up 2 seconds to go up 15 spots - Also incorrect. We moved back 10 spots in regards to our other 2nd. TSW doing TSW things in peak midseason form- 719 replies

Bills 2nd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : TJ Sanders - DT South Carolina

Amazing - this kid has been a Bill for all of 10 minutes and already has a false fan myth - "He is too small" I don't know who needs to hear this (although it seems to be most of you) - but he is not undersized or small...not to mention he just said he is comfortable playing at 310 without losing any of his explosiveness. That is neither undersized or small. -

Everything is always fair to question...declaring the kid a bust like some are over a name they heard called is wild. Not you, but others. Especially when we had him in for a visit and met with him multiple times. Picking him shouldn't have been a surprise. -
Bills 2nd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : TJ Sanders - DT South Carolina

I get where you are coming from...but think about that for a second...by default of that statement, that essentially means no DT he picks is the right DT then, because he doesn't get the benefit when it comes to DT...so by default its gonna be the wrong pick just by the nature of being a DT -

Its amazing watching the freak out happen by people who don't know anything about him other than his weight they just read when he was picked. This guy can play. Everyone upset over "part-time" DT not realizing any and every DT we could have or would have drafted would have been on the same rotation and "part-time" snap count. That is how they use their DL. There is a lot of beef still left in this draft too for them to add some later for situational run clogging as well. PS: We aren't losing many games because we are being run on...we keep getting bounced by teams like KC we allow 35 PPG to while they lose the next week avg 17 PPG. And its Mahomes and the inability to cover and the inability to get to Mahomes. 2 things Eagles did to smash Chiefs. And 2 things we just tried to address with our first 2 picks.- 719 replies

OH SNAP ON THE CLOCK! LFG

Not a surprise...best QB in the draft IMHO.
-
Doesn't look like Sanders...
-
Would have preferred he went elsewhere than our division, I think he is gonna be a good back
-
This felt like an obvious pick here
-
Higgins is a nice fit for Houston...trade down worked out well for them
-
I might be in the minority, but watching him at UCLA I like Carson. He had been rising fast on draft boards after killing his workouts and interviews too.
-
I wouldn't be against it...he is a talent...especially if it's a day 3 pick. HOWEVER - From what I seen, it seems pretty doubtful this guy is a culture fit here. I mean it seems like the main reason he is available is because he has had effort and attitude problems. He has been in Tomlin's dog house several times. And he doesn't seem like a guy who would be happy/content in a system that isn't feeding him the ball like a lead WR. So I remain skeptical Bills would be interested personally...

Those grades and projections are pretty meaningless though. Once you get out of the early rounds, those things are wildly different from team to team and how picks flow. IMHO Thornton likely doesn't make it to our pick at 109 and I think likely goes 3rd round. Lot of teams showing interest, including Bills.
