  1. LMAO at this cop out...So NOW you are saying 2025 a whole other season from now when Diggs contract is actually movable. LMAO...ground breaking work. And EVERYONE and their MOM wanted us to actually RUN the ball more because we didn't have a run game and put too much on Josh. So don't hide your ridiculous post in your thread that McD wanted to run a "pound the rock" offense to the tune of "3 ypc" behind the obvious fact that we NEEDED to run the ball more than we did under either Daboll or Dorsey. 2 more L's for you here. Keep em coming though
  2. This post might actually be worse than your last post. Is it sweaty with that tin foil hat on? Talk about trying to force a narrative, this actually wreaks of desperation.
  3. This is such a ridiculous response. Diggs essentially said its not in his control, which is true for ALL players. He has made it clear all season many times he isn't unhappy in Buffalo and literally said he never once said he wasn't happy here. Just again forcing narratives where there are none just like your ridiculous take in your other thread suggesting McD wants a pound the rock offense, which is just as ridiculous as this thread.
  4. We have an insane amount of FA's on the defensive side of the ball, we really need our draft capital this year. So I don't think any type of big trade up is something Beane is going to look at for any position. However, Beane isn't afraid to make smaller moves to go get the guy he covets. So its possible we make a small move up, but I just don't find any sort of expensive move up plausible, especially given the riches in this draft at WR. This is a very deep class and there are going to be WR's who come from all over this draft that turn into real players in the NFL. Id rather double up on WR in this draft than trade a bounty to get one.
  5. @Einsteinis just looking for attention. He cherry picked a couple lines to make a fake controversy that isn't there and now he is trying to spin his reasons for it with answers dumber than this thread. Its threads like this that really bring down the quality of the board. Its one thing to start a thread and discuss the possibility of a trade and a totally other pile of garbage to manipulate a false narrative to stir the pot for attention. Literally the worst thread of 2024 because its going to falsely skew others opinions who didn't take the time to listen to the WHOLE interview and just took this hot garbage thread at face value.
  6. I can't help but lose respect for posters who start threads and post snippets of an interview to skew the narrative rather than POST THE WHOLE INTERVIEW which actually CLEARLY illustrates a different tone and narrative than what this thread is forcibly trying to create. Honestly your thread just feels like a total LAMP thread forcing a narrative that isn't there. Gotta be the worst thread of the offseason so far that is now putting FALSE impressions in other posters heads who are going to carry this FALSE sense of IMAGINARY controversy all off season and derail other threads over and over again.
  7. Im just wondering where Tyler's article on the trainwreck around Daboll is at where his other coaches are reportedly calling around the league looking to get off a "sinking ship" and find other jobs. Guess he writes about people he feels personally scorned by when getting denied credentials given he is not a real journalist.
  8. This is a pretty stupid thread if you want to be taken seriously as a poster. Diggs has said literally nothing cryptic or controversial. Why on earth do you think it deserves its own thread to talk about nothing? He even literally said there was no news at all in this same interview. DIggs also said he is gretting really tired of these same stupid questions he has already answered getting asked again, just like posters here recycling the same stupid non-story drama for no reason. Its early in the offseason, but this is already the worst thread of the offseason so far given there is literally no plausible information of any kind remotely suggesting he wants to be traded or that the Bills would ever consider trading him. There is a big difference of starting a thread about "could we trade Diggs" and speculate on whether it would work or not, what it could be, etc and starting a thread forcing a false negative narrative around Diggs that just isn't there like you people get trying to do over and over.
  9. While its totally possible...people need to stop regurgitating this stuff about McD being conservative or just wanting to pound the rock. Its utter nonsense and McD has not only been one of the most aggressive HC's in the league during the Allen era, he has repeatedly talked about wanting big plays, high octane offense. There is literally no truth at all other than pre-determined fan bias off assumptions because he was from a defensive background that McD has any interest in a "pound the rock" offense. What he wanted, which everyone on Earth KNEW we NEEDED...was balance of having an actual run game that help Josh out so he doesn't have to do it all and to help open up the pass game more too. I swear, the fact this absurd nonsense about him being conservative or only wants to run the ball persists is mind boggling. Literally not a shred of factual truth to it what so ever.
  10. Not sure how this video suggests they are engaged...although I do know people close to Hailee and they think she is
  11. Never fights for yards? What games are you watching. He is always fighting for extra yards and has even turned those into big plays and even TD's. People want to talk about his stats in 2nd half of seasons, that is fair. Talk about some of the drop issues he had this year, that is fair. But to say he doesn't fight for yards its just not at all an accurate description of him or how he plays. I also disagree he takes himself out of games...I see him getting open and not getting the ball. I see him blocking on run plays and for other receivers. Ive never watched a Bills game and said to myself Diggs is dogging it or taking himself out of the game. I dont have a good explanation with the consistent drop in production, but his effort is not something I question. Personally, I think it has been centered around issues with the offense and once the league gets a blueprint on how to take Diggs away, we have struggled to adjust. But lets also not forget as good as Josh is, as much as I love Josh and we all love Josh, there were quite a few times this year Diggs was open and Josh didn't see or flat out missed on the throw too. DIdn't help our OC sucked for first 9 games either.
  12. This is 100% a factor...not the only reason as a players ability to catch plays the biggest role, but it certainly impacts the chances for a drop. Arm strength like Allen already makes catches somewhat harder, any WR will admit that. Then adding in weather that can make things windy, wet and/or cold and the degree of difficulty goes up again. Footing too can also affect the receivers ability to keep focus on the catch as well if they are dealing with wet, muddy, slippery, snowy, frozen, etc conditions. And conditions vary often during a game when weather is factor, so what you see is guys changing gloves a lot in those situations which also means they do not always have the right gloves on at a particular moment. Drops are just going to have a higher chance of happening as conditions decrease, that is just the nature of the challenges that those conditions present. Allen firing bullets in those conditions further increases the difficulty of the catch and chances for a drop.
  13. I get that, but if they are BPA on their board when they pick and its a position of need, its not incorrect to draft them. And I am not condemning Simpson and Sanders, but they have yet to show anything while Campbell started all season for the #2 seed and played in the NFCCG and was actually a good part of their defense as he continued to improve off early season struggles, which is generally the journey of a rookie in the first place, to improve as the season progresses. Gibbs put up 13 TD'S and almost 1700 total yards for the Lions in part time duty, that is all pro level play from Gibbs. And to get 13 TD's while sharing the backfield with the short yardage TD monster Montgomery means he made a lot of those from a decent distance from the endzone. And also, you bring up OL...I mean if you got a good OL then might as well take advantage of that and get a RB who capitalize and make the defense pay wouldn't you say? Hence his 13 TD's despite having another TD vulture/machine in Montgomery to share the ball with.
  14. Haha well I have only made a few “Calling it now” threads, and this is the first one that partially worked out but came up a toe short of the final prediction. The reason I’ve been so accurate with them is because I don’t make blind guesses, I base them off of information, analysis, etc. So today, we are light on information to truly know what to expect next year as we will experience a major roster turnover this season that could equate to half the roster, possibly a little more. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t have some sort of opinion or guess. So here is my way too early shot at it: I think our offense is going to put up its best season in the Allen era. Why - Because the important pieces are all back, Cook has matured into a major weapon and Brady will now have experience understanding the talents of the roster and how to build and implement his system around that. I believe the run game involvement is here to stay. I believe Shakir and Kincaid are going to take another big step forward, and that the Bills are going to add a big fast WR on the outside who can high point balls and track the deep ball. On defense, it’s a little less certain. McD did a great job as DC, but he is no longer calling the D and new DC Babich has a lot to prove. But there is also a lot to like based on how well he worked with the LBs, and we always have the option for McD to resume play calling duties if Babich struggles. But the bigger questions is who will be on the field. I think Tre is a prime candidate to be a cap cut, and Hyde already appears confirmed gone and Poyer has cap casualty possibilities too. So our secondary could be a lot younger and unproven next year. Then will they bring any of the 3 FA DE’s back in Floyd, AJE, or Shaq because we don’t have any outside of Von. So could be some turnover there too for Beane to figure out. Then of course you got McD back to focusing on HC only now, so that should help as well. So knowing all that, I think this team offensively is going to be best the offense in the AFC and that alone will win us a lot of games. So for me, I have the Bills winning the division and finishing the season no worse than the 3 seed next year and winning at least one playoff game. Can’t commit to more than that until I see how the FA period and draft goes. But I do think the offense will be good enough to carry us at least that far. If we can hit on the draft class at WR and a couple defensive guys then this team will be a real threat to get to the SB again.
  15. Agreed, it's still early, but pretty hard to argue with the results. There is not a GM in the NFL that cares about whether or not Gibbs was taken at 12 or 18 come football Sundays. Only people who rumble about that are fans, literally no one in the NFL cares about that. Gibbs was a first round talent, he is who they wanted for their offense, and he was a huge part of it and their success and proved to be the best rookier RB in the NFL this year. And no disrespect, I have no idea why you would mention Sanders and Simpson, you realize they did nothing as rookies right? Here is the reality...the #1 rookie RB in the NFL this year was Gibbs (despite splitting RB duties with Montgomery who vultured a LOT of TDs) who finished with 1643 total yards and 14 TD's (including 3 in the playoffs). The #1 rookie LB was Campbell with 110 tackles and 2 sacks. Sanders had just 13 tackles on the season and Simpson had just 14 tackles. Gibbs had a great season and is more durable frame than Archane who kept missing time with injuries. Archane doesn't have the frame to hold up, and his season his heavily skewed by an insane 3 game stretch early in the year where he amassed over half his seasons total production in those 3 games. He wasn't nearly as effective down the stretch including multiple games with under 4 ypc and only managed 2 TD's over the final 5 games while Miami was spiraling out of control. Meanwhile Gibbs got stronger and stronger as the season went on and proved to be the better player so far. So no disrespect, but I can't fathom how anyone can still be critical of taking Gibbs and Campbell in the first. IMHO I feel like people are just doubling down on the incorrect opinion they had on draft night. Because the results completely say otherwise. That was early in the season, he got much better and missed far less tackles as the season went on.
  16. We should have had this one...but it was a fun ride, thanks to those who came along with me on the ride here in the thread. At least I was right about winning out, just a play or so short from getting to the AFCCG. Im excited to see what things look like next year though with Brady getting install his offense, McD back to just HC duties, and a DC that has shown he can develop young players because Babich is going to likely have a lot of youth on D this year.
  17. I started a thread after the draft saying that it was crazy people were hating on the Lions draft and that they probably had the best draft of anyone. All these dumb bad draft grades literally because they took Gibbs at 12 instead of 18 when they had no idea if he would even last to 18. Yes you can make a case that you don't need to take a RB early, or even that its best not to...BUT that does NOT mean its ALWAYS wrong. They got the 2nd best RB, top LB, 2nd best TE, and top S in the draft with their first 4 picks. It was a bounty then, and it proved to be a bounty on the field. I need to go find that thread where so many argued with me that Gibbs pick was terrible and their overall draft was a fail. Like most this board was slamming their draft It is why I always say, the only people who care about "draft slot" are fans...in the NFL, it doesn't matter where you are selected, it just matters what you do on the field. When the Lions finished day 2 I was looking at the number 1 or 2 prospect at 4 positions of need for the Lions in 2 rounds...thats a hell of a draft haul and why I felt then that their draft was one of the best, if not the best, back then. I loved LaPorta too, its why I waited on a TE and took him in 4 of my 5 leagues...one league a Lions fan snaked him a couple rounds earlier than he had been going so I missed out on him lol. Yet most of TSW was slamming the Lions draft last year after they made those 4 picks
  18. Agreed, although there is one more move I think I would like to see and that is a switch at ST Coordinator. I feel like this unit was a weak spot this year and maybe a change will do the unit some good. I think there are more questions on ST than people realize too. I mean what do we make of Bass, felt like he regressed some this year, but more importantly there were multiple moments where it felt like he had lost the trust of the coaching staff when you got above 45 yards. Then there is the punting situation...I know its been a hop topic around here, and have no idea if the FO would consider a move like this, but I do think it would be a good move and prudent to bring in Araiza to at least compete for the spot. He was a top punting prospect for a reason, can't imagine he would cost much with him currently needing a job, and we need a punter upgrade.
  19. Dont get me wrong, I am not ready to say he is better than some of the more proven studs in the league, but I do think he deserves more respect than he gets. For me, its the eyeball test. I watch every Niner game as my wife is a die hard Niner fan. I feel like Purdy's bigger crticics doubt him more on assumptions rather than watching his full games. I feel like they assume Shannahan is creating easy short throws and that the guys catching the ball do all the work. But its just not accurate when you watch the games, Purdy is really throwing some dimes out there, pushes the ball downfield (insane 9.6 ypa on the season), has incredible poise, plays tough as nails, plays with great instincts and feel for the game, etc. But thats the fun of a debate like this...its early, so easy to see both sides. I am not ready to crown him the next great QB either, but I also do feel like he should get more credit than he has gotten from people just assuming its all Shannahan.
  20. While I think McD did a great job as DC this year, I do love this hire. McD back to focusing on HC duties, and two young promising coordinators who are already well in tune with the players strengths and weaknesses is exciting for next year. What I especially love about Babich is how well he did with young talent to get them ready because I think he is going to find himself with a lot of young players on the defensive side of the ball this year.
  21. I get it as I was probably pounding the table as hard or harder than anyone for Metcalf before and during that whole draft as well, although I also knew there was little chance we were taking him 9th overall. I had hoped we would trade up for him when he started falling down into the late first. Once he slid into the 2nd I was pleading to go get him and then pleading to trade up from our 3rd once we took Ford and he kept sliding in the 2nd further down. But I also wasn't upset coming away with Oliver and Ford in the first 2 picks either. Ford was projected mid first, and even though I mocked him to us in the 2nd in my last mock before the draft people said I was nuts and he would never get close to our 2nd round pick. Obviously knowing what we know now, you don't take Ford there, but on draft night it was considered a steal by just about everyone. Not every pick is gonna work out though. But I would be willing to bet that Ford was likely BPA on most teams boards when we took him.
  22. Lets not pretend that anyone had any idea who he was last draft. Drafts all the time produce stars from little known players or players who are not highly regarded. Mr. Irrelevant from last year is literally starting the Super Bowl. And honestly, had the Bills drafted Puka he would have barely seen the field and probably finished with less than 15 catches this season where he instead got 15 targets in his first NFL game due to Rams injuries. Opportunity is a major part of the equation. Had Shakir been on the Rams instead of Puka this season and got the same targets, he would have had a big season too.
  23. So its just easy to draft game-changing players when you draft in the late 20's pretty much every season? And he has, you just don't want to acknowledge it. We took Oliver 9th...Metcalf went end of 2nd round. How are these two being compared? And wow, is it easy to know who to pick when you have seen the future. You should be a GM since you clearly knew who each stud was going to be in the 2nd round of drafts before they were picked. You mean like our 2 fast LB's who were hurt for the KC game in Milano and Bernard and allwed KC to pick apart our defense through our LBs off the street all game? LMAO...dont worry I fixed it for you. Or maybe how our All Pro CB in Tre was hurt in the 2021 game hurting our ability to cover Hill? Beane has literally been one of the best in the NFL at this over his tenure. You clearly don't follow along with any other teams.
