  1. I still don’t think he leaves Dallas. But if he they did trade him, I hope we are in on the talks
  2. There is so much arguing on so many things not Tre in this thread - can someone spare me the time or reading it all just tell me if there is update on his injury yet?
  3. Brian Robinson Jr reportedly headed to the Niners. Odd trade for both sides - Commanders with big playoff aspirations and Niners just traded away Mason who was one the most productive backs in the league last year when he started for them.
  4. Never said Cooper was the better player. I said he was their target and the contract was specifically stated as why he was the target. Sorry bud, but the D and C and all kinds of media claim we make offers all the time that arent true. So no disrespect, there is no credible evidence we ever tried to get Adams, or that it was a choice of who they like more Adams or Cooper. So again, you are free to your own opinions, and its all good, but IMHO there is almost no chance at all Adams was actually ever realistically in play due to the differences in contract.
  5. Where are you getting we were in on trade discussions? Internet reports? Because Beane made it clear they were after Cooper long before we got him and tried multiple times to get him. Beane publicly said they reached out to the Browns early on and they were not interested. They kept calling, he was their target the entire time and Beane specifically stated it was Coopers contract on why they targeted him because they couldn't afford anything else. There are rumors and people claiming the Bills are in on all kinds of players that aren't true. There were rumors flying the Bills were trying to move up to get on of the big 3 in MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze in which Beane laughed that no one called him about moving all the way down to his pick and how he also never called anyone as they were looking to move down not up. So no disrespect bud, but I don't personally believe the Bills ever tried to trade for Adams as everything from our literal cap situation and Beanes specific comments about the trade all suggest Cooper was their target the whole time. Doesn't mean I am right, but I am just saying I really don't think Adams was ever at any point an option or choice where they chose Cooper over Adams. And for the record, I was all for trying to trade for Adams, just don't think he was ever on the table for us.
  6. Just a player got traded doesn't mean it was an option for us. Adamas wanted to go to the Jets, he had a good relationship with the Raiders, they tried the Jets first and got a deal done. He wasn't really an option for us
  7. Adams wanted to go to the Jets and Coopers contract was much easier to take on. I don't think this was ever an option.
  8. Then he shook Max hand after - 🤮
  9. Again, you wrote it - you said they were ALL less than WR4's. Nonsense. Lets talk about that last drive. On the final series we didn't convert, WR's were open on every single snap and the offense failed to get the WR the ball on 3 of the 4 downs. You do know that Curtis Samuel was wide open for a first down right? And it was Josh Allen who failed that play by getting his ball knocked down at the LOS. But thats the WR's fault? Even on the final play you realize not one, not two, but 3 guys (2 WR's and a TE) were WIDE open but our offense didn't know where the pressure was coming from and Josh Allen cheated the protection to the opposite side and the defenders came on a free release. So Allen couldn't get the ball to a wide open Shakir, who was wide open to the left right off the snap for not only an easy first, but more yardage after. He didn't have the time to hit the WR running wide open over the middle either for an easy first. And he didn't have the time to throw a clean pass to a wide open Kincaid that would have been a 40+ yard gain. Instead, it came down to Allen having to heave a miraculous ball well behind the wide open Kincaid who was playing on bad knees that needed to come back and get the ball and try and make a difficult angle catch which is a tear drop basket catch. YES he should have caught it still, but it was our failure to recognize the Blitz that ended up causing that play to happen in the first place. MEANWHILE - Our defense gave up 32 points to a team that did NOT score 30 the entire season in any other game and had 0 points and was down 5 scores in the 3rd quarter the very next week. So sorry, literally nothing you have said at any point in this thread is factual, realistic, or actually what happened. You are on this delusional Karen rant blaming receivers for why the game ended on the final drive when its not remotely close to what happened.
  10. The only fact here is how ridiculous your original comment was that you’re now trying to glide right past and pretend you didn’t say something so ridiculous and now make it something else. Reminder you said there were no WRs on our team that are better than a WR4, really WR5 because you said you would even take any WR that resembled even a WR4 implying all our guys are less than a WR4. As comically absurd as that was, you actually said something more ridiculous when you said “I could care less about the score.” Weird the only thing that decides winners or losers is the score, that’s the entire foundation of sports. But you’re just pissing and moaning because they don’t score the way YOU want to score so therefore it shouldn’t count. Meanwhile - the highest scoring season in Bills history, a historically great offense, highest scoring team in the AFC reg season, highest scoring team in the AFC playoffs, highest PPG in the AFC playoffs, most total points reg season and playoffs in the NFL, even more than the 2 teams who played an extra game in the SB. But who cares right, let’s just go back to airing it out with turnover prone Josh where we scored less points and turned the ball over more despite having a top 5 WR. Because that’s what you want to do despite any rhyme or reason to it. Man the season can’t start soon enough
  11. Its all good, none of us are obligated to agree with one or the other, and respect your takes and opinions and enjoy bouncing opposing thoughts off one another. But - my counter to this is that in a McD defense, Safety is a premium position and also currently is our weakest position. This defense would be noticeably improved if we had a player the caliber of Kyle Hamilton on it. And that isn't even a theory, the Ravens defense was not good the first half of last year, and it was moving Kyle that totally transformed the defense into literally the #1 defense in the AFC from that point on the final 11 weeks of the season. So I think where we can agree to disagree at is really how a safety should be valued. Now - where I would sort of agree with you is that I wouldn't say start to rebuild a bad defense by starting a Safety. But, a top end safety can have a big impact on a defense that has other pieces in place, and that is maybe even a bit more significant with team where Safety is a big part of their style like McD, the Ravens, etc.
  12. I am surprised Forrest has not been more in the mix if they don't feel like Bishop or Hamlin is seizing the reigns yet. Personally, I think it was more they were really focusing on Bishop developing further to be the guy and just giving him as much opportunity to grab it and it was at the expense of guys like Forrest, but at this point feels like we should start seeing or hearing Forrest getting some chances with the 1's.
  13. No disrespect, but I don't agree with this philosophy at all, which also gets thrown around with RB's. Just because there are some examples where some later round picks panned out doesn't mean that is the place to target impact players. I mean Brady was a 6th round pick, Kurt Warner was UDFA, Brock Purdy Mr. Irrelevant - thats not an indicator to future success of finding franchise QB's. You are not finding Ed Reed's easily on day 3 picks, if ever. One thing everyone complains about here is not finding more top end talent, and when we have holes in positions, like we have had at Safety, why should they settle for just looking for a capable starter at best in the late rounds and then just hoping for the rare off chance they actually find a pro-bowler like Hyde and Poyer eventually became? And lets be real about Hyde and Poyer, it took them a while to get to that level, they were not impact players early in their careers and didn't blossom until they left their original teams and went on to play for the Bills. Finding a late round rookie safety who doesn't blossom until their next team adds no value to a team pursuing a SB today. The Bills should absolutely be looking to upgrade the weakest positions in FA and early in drafts while we are in the SB hunt, especially given how important the S position is in a McD defense. The Ravens not only drafted Ed Reed in the first round, they drafted Kyle Hamilton which they obviously don't regret also in the first round - and now they just also drafted Malaki Starks in the first round to play opposite him 3 years later. Doesn't mean Bishop proves to be the right guy or not, but the decision to address one of our weakest position groups at one of our most important positions in the 2nd round is not a bad approach in my book.
  14. This. Well said, doesn't mean Bishop is looking like a star had he not missed time, but missing time has certainly done him no favors, especially with the mental aspect of playing safety in a McD defense. And I think McD was sending a message today more than anything and hopefully it helps. Bishop was also not playing out there with the guys he will normally be playing with, so being behind is tough enough, and then having to do it with mostly 2nd string guys out there too compounds the problem instead of the veteran guys who can do their jobs better and also help him on the field too. Not making excuses for him, and you aren't either. But for a young player in this Defense, the missed time and lack of time with the starters is certainly not helping.
  15. You are right. It has nothing to do with money - because it has everything to do with he couldn't pass a physical yet as he wasn't yet recovered from his injury. He is a lot better than many of those "300 WR's" in camps. He isn't washed, he was hurt. Should he be a WR2 somewhere - not really, he is a lower tier WR2 at best. But as a WR3/4, he has great value to a lot of teams as both a blocker and a receiver. To call a guy in his 20's who has been as productive as him "washed" is just a wild over exaggeration coming off a tall glass of Hater-ade.
  16. If Gabe comes in then someone is leaving - Samuel or Moore. And it makes me think that if they are serious about Gabe that they may be looking to trade Samuel as I think Moore and Shavers are battling right now for one of the spots and Shavers plays special teams too on top of having some speed. And none of Gabe, Samuel, or Moore have any special team value, so really feels like Shavers is ahead on the battle at this stage. So kind of feels like if Gabe joins the team officially, there is a good chance it could end up being him and Shavers in and Samuel and Moore out.
  17. No worries, I get it, I know what the OP was asking. My response is that IMHO the game tape on Diggs says and shows how talented he was. Talent and fit are very different things, and while Diggs had immense talent (still some of the best feet and routes I have ever seen), his personality clashed with the vibe of this locker room and wore down the relationship. And it was magnified by Brady's offense going away "featuring" a target which also allowed Josh to play less reckless and minimize mistakes by getting rid of those forced error turnovers. As far as the MVP goes, not having Diggs (or Davis) helped his case for the MVP because Burrow and Lamar had better stats, but Allen had a better record while working with less weapons around him.
  18. Good write up, nothing really to add, pretty much agree with everything you said. I said before preseason began that Shavers probably ends up on the PS. But then after the rest of camp and the first preseason game, I posted that I think Shavers may already be ahead of Moore, and a big reason was not only was he playing better at WR thus far, but he was playing more and playing well on ST. Moore and Samuel at the end of the WR bench bring very little value there. For the Bills to keep no WR's that can help on ST much means those 5 guys better be balling, and they just arent. Now after the 2nd preseason game, I think Shavers is ahead in the competition with Moore. On a side note, Samuel hasn't done anything either to keep his job security up either. BUT - his advantage is worse contract to cut and he has experience with Josh, Brady, and the offense. So I think its Shavers or Moore and right now, if I had to bet on one, I would bet on Shavers. Would it surprise me to see them send Shavers to PS and keep Moore - No - but I still think Shavers is the betting favorite now over Moore.
  19. This. I would say top 5, but he had a case for top 3 for his first 2 1/2 seasons here.
  20. Palmer was a WR2 before here. Shakir is one of the most respected slot WRs in the league and starts anywhere he wanted to go right now. Keon is a starting WR entering his sophomore season who was on pace for 1000 yards as a rookie before he got hurt against the Dolphins. But you don’t see any WRs who would be more than a 4 on any other team? Sounds like you don’t know what you are looking at.
  21. Hamlin is a backup Safety and totally replaceable - no doubt. But his replacement is not on this roster, and if they are, they certainly haven't stepped up to show it yet. Hamlin is going no where this year because Safety is currently our weakest position group and its not close. Rapp and Bishop will start, Hamlin will back up Bishop and the hope is that Bishop takes a step forward this year to be at the very min an improvement on what our Safeties did last year. The only hope in terms of someone replacing Hamlin is Forrest steps up - but I don't think I have heard his name mentioned even once the entire offseason by anyone and he is still at the back of the depth chart. So odds of that happening before the season begins seems pretty unlikely and he is teetering on being a roster bubble guy right now.
  22. So you have decided Coleman and Palmer, before seeing them in a game this year, suck too. Got it.
  23. lol - Never change Jimmy
  24. I said it after the first preseason game that I think, and the race and battle isn’t over, but I think Shavers has edged his way ahead in this battle. And I was pretty confident Moore was going to make this roster prior to that, but I think Shavers is doing everything he can to change that.
  25. Thats what the Bengals have been trying to do and can’t make the playoffs. That’s the Dolphins keep trying to do and haven’t done better than the 6th seed, missed playoffs last year, and never won a playoff game. That’s what the Pats tried and did better than any team in history until they lost to Eli Manning and the meh Giants. That’s what the Manning led Broncos tried and set the new record as best to do it ever until they got blown out by a run first offense with a game manager 2nd year QB. It’s the not the solution people think it is. Someone already said the correct answer - IMHO Miles Garrett.
