It’s mind boggling to see the Bills fail at safety. This is the position that McDemott may be best known for identifying and coaching. Bishop looked like he was ascending at the end of last season. It’s hard to believe that despite camp injuries another year of development is apparently not working for him.

I just do not understand why the auto industry continues this adversarial BS with their customers. For most people a car is the second most expensive item they will buy. Dealerships make it a complete hassle and they often fail to represent themselves, the product and the experience well. I drive my cars longer than maybe I should. A big part of the reason why is that I can’t stand the purchase process. With my wife’s car purchase I ended up in a shouting match with the sales guy because he was to also serve as the technology rep. He had no clue on how some features worked and I had enough when he became condescending to my wife. Sad thing is the car is excellent and has some really cool tech. YouTube is your friend when you want to figure stuff out.

Look at John Elway as the example for some hope. Lost three and then later won two. Elway and Josh are different players and era’s but both arguably the most athletically gifted in their time.

Seriously, prices will generally drop for non-key games as you get closer. If all you want is a single I might even wait until just before kickoff.

The Bills have quietly made some potentially significant changes on D this year. The proof will be in the results but philosophically it looks like they may be more open to man coverage and 5 man rush concepts. I give McDermott credit for not sitting still. With that said, If the Bills get exited in the playoffs again it will be a very tough pill to swallow. May depend on overall record and how they lose but I don’t think McDemott is absolutely secure.

(Andy Reid + Patrick Mahomes) X ((Steve Spagnolo + Chris Jones) + (Chiefs better special teams)) = problem for the Bills. Josh Allen can’t fix the equation on his own. The often talked about problem for the Bills is defense and then to a lessor extent less effective coaching on the Bills sideline and poorer Bills special teams.
