  1. That sounds insane. Beane has already said he is not taking a “system’ QB.
  2. I am not an expert but I also believe to be accredited you have to have semi-liquid assists of $1MM+. In addition to a relatively high income level.
  3. Yeah they are kinda like little penguins.
  4. He was not the same player after that hit.
  5. Who knows what they consider an “executive” but as a group they average a 28. Point is that they are not the smartest people in the room, on average. BTW 20 is average across a large population and 50 is the highest score attainable.
  6. His points, opinions really, are just without much of any foundation. Did he speak with anyone about the play of either? No one player or coach had any input. Why might there be contradictory thought? What besides PFF rankings substantiate your options? Why is PFF the right source? Were other sources of information considered? These are all types questions that at one time solid journalists would have spent time on. Spewing a simple set of opinions with little substantiation appears to be the new norm for “journalism.” Sad, isn’t it? Though at the end of the day football is simply entertainiment so having entertainment in the associated “news” pieces should not be that shocking.
  7. Per Rosenthal on NFL.com. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000922026/article/worst-freeagency-deals-case-keenum-jordy-nelson-overpriced As a side note it is amazing how thin “journalism” is today. This “news article” probably took a a total of 20 minutes to put together. The only facts in it would be easily discovered. This is simply yet another opinion piece, like much of the rest of the B.S. you find out on the internet.
  8. Does less than a half yard really matter that much?

A better title will help the community find information faster and make your topic more likely to be read. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate.Thank you.
  11. If this is what unfolds, highly unlikely in my opinion, then the Bills go hard after the fourth pick and take Rosen before someone else grabs him.
  12. That was one of the funniest bits on TV ever filmed.... too bad the guy turned out to be a racist lunatic in real life...
  13. That is is disgusting but possibly not far from the truth...
  14. Why is simple, they don’t want to over pay for a QB that is not truly a franchise guy. The same can be said for the draft situation.
  15. Not even close to a generational talent and it was an idiotic trade. You take those kinds of gambles for a QB not a WR. The sad thing is that Sammy was not even close to being the best WR in the draft. Not to mention he had a very poor attitude. I guess we will see how he does in KC with a full training camp but it’s obvious the Rams did not see him as a generational talent.
  16. The more I read about Beane the more I like. The QB situation is one that may take a little bit of luck but he has a plan and he is not over reaching. Next year with the rise in the cap they should be in excellent shape. The roster is being rebuilt. It’s high;y likely that at least two very high quality starters will come out of this draft and if the Bills choose wisely it could be four. Add them to a solid though not spectacular draft class last year and you have the makings of a very solid rebuild. It’s now really about the QB.
  17. Both teams turned around quickly. And as for Holmes playing since early December, the question really becomes is the player, system or coaching more important? The Eagles situation (along with the Vikings) suggest that players are often too much overemphasized and systems and coaches are lacking.
  18. The Rams and Eagles say otherwise. You get your QB when you can. With that said this is a deep QB class and who knows what can happen.
  19. Looking back it is hard to believe that Marino was taken last. Kelly had a better surrounding cast. Marino was the better QB. In the end the order really should have been Elway, Marino, Kelly. Great post because history is an interesting thing.
  20. The Jets gave up a lot to move up. We can hope their pick fails miserably. It might be very likely that the top three picks are QB’s.
  21. I guess we can have a contest to see who has a more blighted lot as a fan, sadly. We can take small consolation in the idea that Browns fans have it worse. As for the questions you originally asked, if Glenn stays healthy you will be ecstatic with the trade because you gave up very little to get a pro bowl caliber LT. If he doesn’t see the field due to nagging injuries you’ll be pissed off. Preston Brown is an enigma. He has had some mildly bright spots and some mildly dark ones. He strikes me more as a two down scheme fit that an all around good LB. If your staff picked him up with their eyes open to this he will be, as others have said, a solid but not stellar player.
  22. Sho’ me the monay ..... please. Are you guys secretly in love?
  23. Exactly, Teddy Bruschi can go take his opinions elsewhere. However, I will say there is a ton of negative stereotype to get past when you speak about Buffalo in other parts of the country. Having recently moved back here, living in bigger cities in-between, like everywhere Buffalo has strong points and weak points. My personal observation is that the weaker points are exaggerated by the climate and the strong points don’t go as high probably because of the deep poverty here.
  24. Another Rosen opinion thread. This was very needed.
