  1. Right before the 09 season we got rid of our LT and decided to start essentially a rookie with no game experience in that position and then fired our OC. We had no chance in that opener. And while we still lost we almost won.
  2. I've seen stone hands drop 3 balls and fumble a return in 6 or 7 touches
  3. I was listening to NFL Radio tonight and Modrak was a guest. Carucci was saying how great Modrak was, etc. At the end of the interview Modrak made a comment something to the effect that he doesn't know what the Eagles plans are regarding a backup QB now that Vick is "35 or 36". I thought maybe Modrak was casting a hypothical regarding the Eagles' 5 year plan. Then Modrak made the same comment again, saying Vick was in his "mid 30s". Are you kidding me? He doesn't know a basic piece of league player information every last place fantasy football team owner knows?
  4. Dude, I'm actually pretty envious but it looks like you missed this: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BrohBr00/gamelog/2010/ Lost a fumble too.
  5. Orton needs a perfect pocket to throw and eats the ball under pressure. Fitz blows orton out of the water on pressure situations in terms of ball coming out and scrambling. It's easy to put up a good qb rating when you eat the ball all the time. See rob johnsons career stats.
  6. And imagine whal polian would have done with the extra first round draft pick not spent on JD Williams.
  7. Johnson dropped a lot of passes that day because Polumalo had a monster game. He was all over the field, and Johnson was hearing footsteps. Polumalo broke up that play even though he was not in coverage. This was a period of play for Polumalo that took him (deservedly) to the league Defensive MVP even though he missed games, which is remarkable.
  8. He may not be elite yet but his getting open skills are approaching an elite level.
  9. On top of beating San Diego we had a lead in the 3rd against Miami with a chance to put them away to go 6-1. That became easier to take when the broncos proved that 6-0 is utterly meaningless.
  10. I do remember that moving Bruce up and down the line would confound offenses. So would lining up Bruce on the right side every play. Bruce was the greatest defensive lineman to ever play the game.
  11. Bruschi on espn just gave props to Shepard. Said he was an instinctual player and a glue guy. Gets his teammates on the same page.
  12. For years before I had the NFL network people on this board were saying how great an analyst chavous is. The only talking head to say more than the obvious. Now I have the NFL network and chavous is almost never on. He's not at the main desk. He was on once in a predraft show. Did the NFL get sick of chavous using the exposure to pump up his website.
  13. NFL network just ran a show listing the best NFL rookie seasons of all time. Moss #1, Dickerson #2. What is the greatest rookie season by a Bill. I'm going with the Biscuit.
  14. Mike Williams. Thought the FO finally got its act together and made the smart no miss pick to stack the o line. Remember being psyched before the season started that mckinnie had some off the field problems.
  15. To the extent the bills have no hope a part of me wouldn't mind seeing the old coot in Oakland doing it his own way under constant ridicule and sticking it to the rest of the league and all the media. They have a crazy talented team in many areas and can flat out blow people off the field when organized. As a plus, davis bleeds AFL.
  16. Merriman has a certain superstar je ne sais quois. His signing will encourage other big names to choose Buffalo.
  17. If Burroughs doesn't get injured, Polian stacks the d line with the JD Williams pick, possibly via trade.
