I don't know about that. An alternative drafting model where a QB is drafted each year, year after year, in the first three rounds would have been hard pressed to underperform the current model which has yielded 14 consecutive non-playoff seasons.
It will be interesting to see what the skins do if cousins lights up the QB friendly Georgia dome. Mid round picks typically have weak arms. If he does well I expect they'll start Grossman outdoors weeks 16 and 17 so as to preserve cousins' trade stock.
Any Bills fan that can have other than the utmost hatred for Tom Dempsey must not have been around for this:

I for one am celebrating he is finally out of the record books.
I thought the shots ej took with Goodwin long last week were good. He overthrew him by a few yards which is what you have to do. Goodwin just didn't dust the defender as he often does.
The best idea I saw floated was that each team would enter a blind bid for the yard line they would start at, lowest yard line wins. Can you imagine the press fodder relative to these coaching decisions.
Great shtick IMO. I thought they were both terrific. This will be great to replay in January '15 when I'm jonesing for ways to savor every minute up to EJs first playoff start and I've exhausted all current media. Way over the top, just as they are paid to do.
This thread is misguided. If Brady/Bellichick had won just one more title they would have stepped off the gas by now opening up the division. I generally root for them to win it all once we are basically eliminated so they would just go away.
Glenn is the silent franchise player on this squad but was too good last year to qualify for this award. 1 sack surrendered all year with rookie QBs, one with johnsonesque tendencies to hold onto it. Are you kidding me.
Since they returned the kickoff point to the 35 again it's possible to garner a touchback on 70%+ of kickoffs. Carpenter is just not getting it done in that department. Bills rank 4th from he bottom in touchback percentage. Carpenter's kickoff problems are a major reason why he was cut by 3 teams in August. In '10 he missed 11 kicks, scary to any GM. In today's game you need touchbacks and you draft a big leg kicker like Hopkins if you have to.
The positive of being bad for so long. Late season games after being all but eliminated do not seem less important than early season games. They are all part of one big endless rebuilding process. Go Bills!
