  1. Kelly had every bit the arm of Bledsoe.
  2. I like the idea of Byrd leonhard and Alonso back there at once. In the past we have had only one defender on the field, bryd, with special instincts for the flow of a play.
  3. This could be a win win. As another poster pointed out he needs to perform to get a trade and long term deal. Bills could be playing for next year by the deadline. We could get a late first rounder if everything works about.
  4. Bills hang tough and lose a close one 28-24 But Manuel goes 20-33-292 3 TD 0 int and looks every bit FRANCHiSE the whole way. Would be one two happiest losses in team history.
  5. Everyone is scared to death that Dareus is an unmotivated out of shape Haynesworthian bust and that kyle's feet are.shot. The only hope is that wanny was incompetent and things are not as bad as they looked last year, or preseason games 3 and 4. . We will find out Sunday by about 1:30.
  6. Play their spot AND fit it up. We will know pretty quick whether we can write all of last year to the stache or whether we are really that bad.
  7. My expectations have steadily declined over the years. Now my litmus test for a successful season is being mathematically alive on December 1. In September I revel in the fact our small city has a team that plays in the NFL. If we actually put a late season playoff run together I honestly do not know what I would do. The whole organization crumbled under the pressure of 5-1, and 5-2 in 2008 and 2011 respectively.
  8. Now that he has stuck with the Pats it would not surprise me to see Brady on Sunday make the Bills regret (even more) that decision to keep Ruvell Martin and Donald Jones.
  9. If the bills had picked QBs in each of the first 3 rounds each year since 2000 and continuously carried 7 QBs in the hopes a franchise QB would emerge their playoff qualifying percentage could not have been worse.
  10. I can't believe they are concerned enough to to do this.
  11. I can't imagine someone putting this much time in without designating home/away. Can this data be updated to include home away status if the games? On one hand I am excited to dig into the data to see if I can discern any trends on my own. On the other hand a central parameter - where the game is played - is not summarized.
  12. Very interesting since it was Carter (and pretty much only Carter) who correctly called the 5-2 start in '11 a mirage.
  13. Limited to those who actually played downs with other teams in between tenures with the Bills 1. Peerless Price 2. Jim Leonhard 3. ?
  14. We are so lucky to have a team name not transferable to another city. Makes the team much tougher to move. I doubt Ralph was thinking about that in 59.
  15. Buffalo looking strong! Put this thread back on the stadium wall. Had to look for it.
  16. Great stuff I can picture Jim agreeing to be there before they finished asking the question.
  17. Spread opened at 7.5 before EJ and Gilmore injuries. Anyone watching the preseason cornerback play would jump on that 11.5 especially after Brady's 7 TD 400 yard half in Buffalo last year.
  18. How could an NFL organization let this happen at cornerback.
  19. So what if he had a 4-22 record at college. Trent Edwards also had a lousy win loss record as a college QB.
  20. Toughest parts of the game to take was Gilmore getting torched on back to back plays by a third string QB. Also Goodwin not pulling on that perfect bomb. You could not throw that much better than leading Goodwin a few feet. He needed to catch that for him to be what he needs to be.
  21. Brad Smith is a rich man's Tim Tebow but that may not be enough.
  22. Seriously there was one: Alonso (again)
  23. Graham Harrell? As impressive as Tuell was not turning it over, going six traight three and outs sort of takes the luster out of going turnover free.
  24. Does that have something to do with the 400 yard 7 touchdown second half they had here last year?
  25. I don't care what anyone else says. This place is a classic. Great lines. The sub-grade field is what makes it I think. It seems to be infinitely upgradable. I mean, if you tear down everything what you have left is a 40,000 seat bowl embedded in granite that is not going anywhere for a thousand years, and which you wouldn't want to change anyway since it offers perfect views. You could build anything you want at grade level on top of the bowl to please the bean counters. Suites, hotels, shopping malls, casinos, and amusement parks.
