  1. Um maybe its because they hired someone out of football for 10 years in his 80s with no fo experience as the gm.
  2. If a guy with a rocket arm leadership ability and wheels and great field awareness and size is there after round 1 I'll be happy. San fran found one that the whole league missed.
  3. The sports media is in on this as well. They know sullying the league is to destroy their business model. Didn't a ref in the nba get caught fixing games a few years ago. Are you kidding me. How do you recover from that? You just stop talking about it.
  4. Certainly in best long te interest to play Tavares. But chan will selfishly be trying anything to get to 7 wins which is the job saving Mendoza line. In his estimation plying fitz is less risky.
  5. Bruce could still play. Dominated in his last game as a bill. It was not the benching of an ineffective Flutie per se that was wrong. It was the fact the owner mandated it.
  6. Fitz, Campbell, Smith, Orton all pretty much the same. Upper echelon mid career backup material with lots of starts. (though Campbell looked utterly horrible last week).
  7. If I were Arians I would put this game in Fitzs hands. Sorry I'd just run the clock out from my own end zone.
  8. Ok. We recovered. Now please put spiller back in. It's a new series.
  9. Utter waste. What happened to chandler in the red one.
  10. That was a sure Td to spiller. Then a flat out drop.
  11. Because the qb never has to worry about a blitz?
  12. All the more reason to feed spiller 30 times a game. If enough eye popping plays make the highlights he becomes the star the league will coddle and escort into the post season.
  13. This thread just goes to show how much the season depended on the titans game. FOURTH down Td from the 15. Before that Wilson could not squeeze an iint handed to him. Before that fitz wrecks a good game by a pick when it mattered most. Tough to take.
  14. The guy is injury prone. This was known way back in college. He broke down during the playoff run last year. If the pats are counting on him to be an integral part of their offense long term it's just bad planning on their part.
  15. I saw a highlight where meachem all out dropped a fourth down pass on a would be game winning drive earlier this year. Loss solely on him.
  16. If you saw nick foles play the other day you realize there is a whole layer of badness below fitz. He can't makes the throes bit he often gets the o in the right play.
  17. They had a crawl running a few weeks ago that said we started 2011 6-2. Who is doing their stat checking.
  18. The conspiracy theorists need look no further than the fact the Pats were named the visitor twice in 4 years for the London game, thus being granted a reduced road game schedule for each of those years. The league never bothered to provide an explanation. More strikingly the Bills never issued a complaint. Talk about class action lawsuit material. I am taking the long road view on this. Once the Bills acquire one of the top 5 QBs of all time, win 3 titles, and make the playoffs 11 of 13 years we may get a call or two.
  19. The 2004 Bills were 3-6 after losing on the road to the Pats. Then - in what would turn out to be the high water mark for the entire decade - ran off a stunning six victories in a row including wins over the Dolphins, Rams, and Seahawks to go to 9-6. With a few weeks to go I recall with all the tie breakers it would be almost impossible for the Bills to get in even if they won out but everything started to break their way. They were still on the outside looking in under all the scenarios going into the final week of the season but everything that had to happen did and all they needed was a win at home against a Steeler team resting its starters that day to get in.
  20. Phillips is a good cop coach who cuts the players some slack. He would work well as a head coach with hard driving assistants. He tends to do well initially with highly wound teams but his effect wears off over time. Our team is not highly wound so I'm not sure he would be effective.
  21. He's 72 and has been out of the game for 15 years! If we are hiring coaching consultants I'd rather have someone better than a .400 winning percentage. Notwithstanding his succes with unorthodox signal callers we need help on D not on offense.
  22. There are no no-brainer franchise QBs coming out next year but about 10 expected to be drafted in rounds 1-3. Take a shot on one of these in the second round.
