  1. I realize with press coverage you risk the big play. But if you can give up six straight TDs in a zone what do you have to lose, really.
  2. Did you forget seeing Gilmore being getting plowed into the end zone from 5 yards out.
  3. shred of hope: http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=311128018
  4. I'm supposed to be calm about being shredded for SIX straight touchdowns. SIX?
  5. No, its: "bad things man...Bad things." Mario does nothing but make you appreciate Bruce.
  6. I would throw the little guy in Seattle on the list. Defenses have already taken everything away. And not even very good defenses.
  7. Life is good! We have a game breaker who was thought to be bust - and now we find he's a fast healer.
  8. His 2000 yard season was pretty bogus as far as 2000 yard seasons go. Most of the yards were piled up before there was a lot of tape on him. He broke a number of really long ones that skewed the yardage and they fed him the ball through garbage time late in the season to get to 2000.
  9. Basically you would have a bunch of small market teams not getting much attention except for the fact that small market Pittsburgh is a small market team that through great ownership happens to be the most successful franchise in the league since the merger with 6 titles and consistently winning for four decades now.
  10. The bills offensive line will dominate the pats defensive line. The bills defensive line will dominate the pats offensive line. That may not be enough because Brady is way better than Fits.
  11. Great move by the organization. Sends the message that everyone is accountable even untouchable vets. The shocking thing about it is that Moorman had a hall of fame career in the preseason.
  12. Why can't we wear a completely different uni every week like the Seahawks.
  13. The announcers who did the national television broadcast called it a classy move. What more do you want. It would have been a dumb move to run and fumble and create a chance - no matter how remote - for a browns score onside kick and second score like the lions did yesterday.
  14. Hey if a journeyman type wr like George Wilson can be turned into a solid starter at safety anything is possible.
  15. Jim kelly's first coach. Another one in the L column.
  16. Um. The fourth down TD when we just needed a field goal to get back in the game?
  17. In his last year in buffalo in 2009 he had one at most two players worth more than 5th rounder in trade value before a rash of injuries hit forcing the likes of chris draft into the lineup straight from the couch. The offense could not get a first down. Somehow, Perry's D ranked in the middle teens. I recall one journalist in the '10 offseason called it one of the great mysteries in the history of sports.
  18. Funny how Bruce Smith was constantly double teamed and triple teamed, the preeminent source of concern (and often trepidation) for the opposing QB and coordinator the whole game, played in 3/4, and somehow managed to put up mind boggling numbers in terms of sacks and tackles for nearly the entire first fifteen years of his career. There was a guest on NFL radio recently who runs an NFL statistics website who could not stop raving about how Bruce's cold hard statistics were off the charts in every category (e.g. 3X tackles/game than the average end. etc.) and that Bruce is the gold standard of defensive ends in terms of statistics standing alone without reference to "reputation" or "aura" (he went on to say that Bruce's stats blow away Reggie White's). Not a knock on Mario Williams, clearly a pro bowl plus caliber player. Just saying Bruce was a once in a lifetime player. There is a difference. It will be very tough for Mario for a long time, since Buffalo fans will naturally be comparing him to an incomparable talent.
  19. Their countless films about "how they made the films" were pioneering in their own right in world of recycled copy -- and almost as irresistible as the original films.
  20. Sympathies for Ed who just turned 96. The worst thing imaginable to lose a child no matter what age. Its pretty much impossible to keep clicking when the channel scan lands on one of their films.
  21. I stil think we should have re-signed Bell. We could have used the Glenn pick to get a James Hardy caliber receiver.
