My thought is that you are a title contender it makes sense to have a weak armed game manager as your backup. If you have no shot at the title you have to have a backup that has some hope of becoming a franchise player.

"path to the draft" is the lamest name I have ever seen for a sports show. Path doesn't even really rhyme with draft. Also no one uses the term "path" in the context of football. why not call it "on the clock". Even "the scouting report" would be better. NFL radio has some creative names for its shows. Late hits. The opening drive. path to the draft is just embarrassing.

That was really the best team in franchise history except for one thing. It happened to be the single injury year of the franchise's best all time player. Since the Bills seem to targeting name players with chronic major injuries maybe they should give Sanders' agent a call. Seems to fit the profile the Bills are looking for perfectly. Really big name. Really injured. Imagine this line up: Williams, Williams, Merriman, Sanders. Maybe they could platoon Sanders and Merriman, Sanders could suit up for two games, and Merriman two games and they could get 4 games out of big name pro bowlers. On the O line they should target Chad Clifton and scope out the rest of the 07 pro bowl roster for other big names with impressive injury records.
