We started Kincaid and Torrence last year. I never even considered the possibility that Coleman wouldn't start unless he gets injured (G-d forbid). The starting WRs next season are Coleman, Shakir and Samuel. Everyone else is battling for WR4, WR5 and maybe a WR6. Hollins is making the team as a special teams ace and part time receiver. After that everyone else is just battling for a job. My money is on Claypool. MVS barely catches 50% of his targets. What do we need that for? Hamler is small and fast but injury prone. Shorter is tall but slow. That leaves Claypool who is big and fast. If he has a good pre-season, he'll win the job.

I don't know how the WR corps will ultimately come together but there's a clear theme - size, vertical jump, catch radius. They are going in the total opposite direction of recent years as far as outside WRs go. I've always felt Allen would thrive with that style of WR which I was so high on Coleman in the draft. If Claypool can get close to what he was his first two seasons we suddenly have multiple physical studs on the field with Josh Allen, for the first time in his career.

Same could be said for John Brown and Cole Beasley. Josh got Gabe Davis 13M a year. Obviously a gross overpay. he made Robert Foster look like an NfL WR. He’s made chicken salad out of chicken **** before. He’ll do it again. Not sure who, but if we’re going to take this route (no big name WRs) i’m glad we’re rolling the low risk dice on physically talents guys.
