I’d pick neither at this point and use that money elsewhere. We’ll see after this season

Top 5 QB and Top 5 WR salary cannot coexist on a SB team
Big Blitz replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
But they don’t kick in as top 5 money until 2026: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/cap/_/year/2026/sort/cap_total -
Agreed on Gronk, moss was there 3 years. He made two solid slot guys into all pros. Dillon? Come on Bills fam... lol. Great QB's have to make wr's better. NE was awesome at adapting amd modifying or changing systems up. Each time Brady made his guys great. Time for Allen to do the same and I think he will.

Question or topic of the day - a new idea for the board

I like the idea of a question of the day. A good time is the week after the draft till rookie Minicamp or Training Camp. It's worth trying out. Happy to support whatever Moderators and longtime members feel. -

Deion Jones signed to 1-year deal per Schefter

I don't see how this group gets the benefit of the doubt on managing the WR room. Coleman, a bunch of scrubs, and hope that decent role players can elevate above their pay grade is not compelling. Lots of folks buying it, though. Whole lot riding on Brady being a really good OC. I hope it works, because I want my team to win, but Josh Allen is more magnanimous than I if he is truly happy about it. -

But only for a few minutes. -
I agree about Rousseau, I think Brown is a better RT than Rousseau is a DE.
-
Likewise as he is married with a young family. Not sure he does broadcast now as kids are little.
-
Fine, provided he plays at the same level as last year or above. Coverage Sack Rousseau is not getting a second contract here unless he makes a meteoric jump this year
-
He played with a top 3 TE all time and a top 3 WR all time. He had a good OL. He had Corey Dillon in his prime. He had elite slot receivers. He went to Tampa and had Evans and Godwin. Brady had at least 3 pass catchers that are in, or going to, the HOF. Moss, Gronk and Evans are either in Canton or going.
-
I’m paying Brown 15M per right now, if he just duplicates last season, and there’s no reason he doesn’t take another jump, then he’s getting well north of 15M a young gigantic athletic RT who continues to improve, he’s turning into exactly what you hoped for when drafting him.

They’d also burn couches if we didn’t cover the spread, I get it.

Unfortunately Coleman was not very good vs press man and single coverage. Being bigger doesn't necessarily make you better at getting off the line, Troy Franklin at 180 lbs was top 2 yprr vs press man and top 3 vs single. Footwork and hands are what beat the press. -
I would absolutely bring Hyde back for one final year, but if he chooses not to play I am more than fine with that as well. A summer signing would make a lot of sense.
-
Then be a gent and kill the thread!
-
Hyde is old and washed coming off two neck injuries. He needs to hang it up. See what we got with the young bulls this year. I like Rapp and Bishop as the new safety duo.
-
Lol people here really acting like Coverage Sack Rousseau is anything other than a JAG run defender. No chance I’m paying him $20M to stuff the run and get 3-4 clean up sacks per year. You can find a cheap vet FA ala Shaq Lawson to do his job and won’t make a difference in the team’s record. if my choice was to pay Rousseau or Spencer Brown $15M per season, I would choose to tell them both to kick rocks and find their replacements in the draft or free agency. Not paying JAGs to big extensions, only difference makers
-
I wouldn’t get anyone’s autograph. It’s kind of stupid.

What is better, no guns, or more guns?
