i was half ass listening to a bunch of diff pod casts after the game. one of them (buffalo plus)? said that Michael Hoecht was basically being a field general telling players where to line up..helping with assignments, and a bunch of other stuff.

Who in the hell is conditioning these players?
Buffalo716 replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
No I don't mean they're Achilles didn't pop lol I agree with you that peds put stress on your ligaments and tendons that they didn't see back in the day I'm saying I know people who went to the NFL that used peds but they never popped positive on a drug test because they knew how to get around it -

Well sure, achilles tears are just one of many connective tissue injuries NFL players can endure. -

Well that's my point I know ped users who have made it to the NFL They don't all pop positive either.. they know how to get around testing... The cycles are timed -

The majority of known MLB juicers have denied or deflected to this day. That doesn't make them innocent. If you know professional athletes, especially in more violent sports, then you know many of them have or will utilize banned substances at some point in their careers. I especially don't love combat athletes as evidence for how other leagues and athletes operate. Notoriously corruptible young meatheads and governing authorities. -

Overtraining. I think some of these players go too hard in the offseason. And not nearly enough stretching and flexibility as some have said. -
I meant the basketball arena, not the field house, but yeah this is why they don't have a stadium. They haven't asked the boosters to buy them one. Either that or the boosters haven't ponied up. It's difficult to do at a school that doesn't really have a lot of football tradition. There aren't a bunch of wealthy alumni with fond football memories who want to fund the program to be a winner. The other reality is that mid-major programs are going to struggle in the coming years as the gap between the haves and have nots grows. If you get a very good player, it's going to be very, very hard to keep them. Khalil Mack never spends his full career in Amherst in the current world. Nobody in the MAC will ever have a top QB for more than 1 year. Stuff like that. An argument can be made to actually disinvest in football and drop back to FCS where you could be more successful. The MAC TV contract probably funds enough (for now) to prevent that from happening, but sports networks are struggling. As the Big10 and SEC eat up more and more money there will be less for the lower end conferences. As for coaches? They'll never be able to keep a good one. Schools like UB are where lower end Big10, SEC, ACC, and Big12 schools look for up and coming coaches. Those coaches will always take the opportunity when it comes because it's more money and the path to the top. Same thing with basketball. UB was never ever going to be able to keep Bobby Hurley for longer than they had him.

the problem is in the playoffs lately, we just turtle. we take zero risks. look at last year against the chiefs, we couldnt get out of our own way. was yesterday diff? sure but normally we are more aggressive during the season. but you watch Kc or some other teams and when its on the wire the pull something special out of the bag. even on the play where they tricked bosa..its a couple special plays. so far in the situation brady has revertered to asinine play calling. so I stil dont trust him in big moments. Against the chiefs he ran and ran and when he couldnt run he threw the ball a couple times and then ran and ran some more. It was effective but it wasnt nec brilliant.

Considering most MMA fighters and boxers and athletes who pop say they all were given tainted supplements I'd say I do hear a lot about that regarding drug use Very few come clean and just admit to being steroid users there's always that ex athlete who says tons of people in the league are on performance enhancing drugs... The Mitchell report in baseball back in the day had tons of baseball players names on it And I'm sure a lot of football players were using too -

All those bad picks but yet he has the highest draft AV in the NFL... As usual fan perception is well off from reality due to not knowing what they are comparing to among 31 other teams -

Most of this reads exactly like propaganda for the league AND the players, especially the textbook plausible deniability defense of blaming a trainer's negligence. Like these insane, very wealthy gym rats are just taking whatever they're "given" by well paid trainers without understanding potential risk/exposure. There would be litigation galore, wouldn't there? Prior to an initial positive result, players can push the envelope with respect to offseason regimens and testing schedules, no? Sometimes they push it too far and run into bad luck with respect to testing dates. But I don't think many of them unknowingly take "supplements" tainted enough to result in 6-game suspensions. Or if they did, then we'd hear more about that. -

Game -
They literally have a brand new Field House that is top the line for Mac standards Their football budget is always towards the top of the Mac They just don't have the stadium but that's because nobody wants to pay for it.. like including the school UB consistently has players at the top of the award lists for the Mac and all Mac teams so they don't struggle recruiting compared to other teams They struggle keeping coaches
 -
I know it's just the opening game against scrubs but we really haven't looked at sharp in a while I thought before the season if they gel they could be a tournament team and there is a lot of talent
