Brandin Cooks' contract manouvers point to tampering
Warriorspikes51 replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
sure why not. Shakir Palmer Shavers Davis Cooks -
Yeah that's OC. He was going through some rough spots in life a while back where his wife was leaving him, yeah. He was in a few various spots. There have been a lot of people who take this way too seriously. It is both confusing and compelling. People think way too much of themselves for posting on the internet. And I promise you if anyone ever thinks I take this side of the board that seriously then they are far far and strangely mistaken. While I am the smartest person to be here in many of you are lucky to have me, I don't take it serious. And my opinions are worth twice that of the other North Carolina guy, and I can create original ideas unlike the copy paste guy, and I've never worn a nurse's outfit because I am a true man... I remain humble with my strongest of efforts knowing that I'm perfect in every single way.

It's the parity of the league all the top end teams have taken a step or more back and middling teams taking steps or two up. Yet you know what inspire all our steps back we still have the best record or KC, Baltimore and Cincy and even beaten 2 of the 3 of those team. Some will claim it's only because of Josh Allen some will claim the other team just not good and some will clamor is due to coaching. Truth is we might be better then all this year. Question is what version of Bills will we see on any given Sunday.

When have they ever? Oliver and Bosa both.

We do not do well against teams we are supposed to beat.
WhiskyBreath replied to WhiskyBreath's topic in The Stadium Wall
Correct. However, we did manage to beat teams with good defenses by game-planning around a fierce pass rush with extra folks on the OL, throwing the ball early with short passes, screens, well-executed running plays with more folks blocking, etc. Waiting for an open receiever for the long ball results in 8 sacks against a good defense like Houston. Bottom-line, we got complacent and simply were not prepared for this game. Then, we failed to make adjustments as the sacks kept climbing. If we had made those adjustments, we may still have overcome the INT's, sloppy play, missed extra point, penalties, etc. The fact that we were even close is a testament to Allen and that incredible 4th and 27 play at the end. -

Don Beebe is still faster than some. -
Shaq Lawson on the way (now reportedly signed to practice squad)

First time made sense. Left got paid didnt work out. Came back for cheap. Same with Phillips, and now with Davis and Poyer. There is a real problem at edge. There isnt a better option on the other 31 teams practice squads that offer more juice or upside? It’s becoming post dynasty Patriots level of comfortability with roster moves and success. Cutting guys 3 and 4 times and bringing them back post trade deadline is becoming a horrible trend. -
This will 100% get somebody fired, so, silver linings?

I enjoyed the previous iteration, more voices make for a better experience. However, let's be fair, certain posters were bounced and they took other good posters with them. I enjoyed interacting with the vast majority of the posters who frequent the other board, I just am a creature of habit. Btw, when I first started posting, one guy was wound very tight. I hate to misname him, but maybe OC in something? I recall he sorta threatened me with a **** storm for reasons I cannot recall (probably sarcasm or irreverence on my art--I'm in recovery still). I'm a pretty average guy....and have never tried to convince myself that I am tougher than I actually am. However, it struck me as delightful and hilarious that an anonymous person was threatening another anonymous person on a message board.

Aiyuk won't want to come here. It'll be the Commanders IMO

yes, and…?

It's crazy that in a season where the Chiefs, Bengals, and Ravens are all struggling mightily, the Bills are looking less likely to ascend to the throne than they have in years. It just goes to show you how evenly matched the NFL is this year, and how important injuries can be to determining the success of a team. The Lombardi trophy is truly up for grabs right now.

Kelsey would be good right now actually. He was a good run asset. Schoebel got after the QB well as an end but that was a wonky system. He wouldn't fit in here. Our defense is really weird and I don't like it. Haven't ever. -
Too early to start the 2026 Who's going to Vegas thread?

I think the Bills can beat any team in the NFL this year. But I also think they can lose to any team in the NFL this year. If they come out with the right gameplan and they are clicking, they can contend. Their inconsistency this year has been the issue and gives me pause on thinking they can do much in the playoffs (assuming they hold serve and make it in).

Game week thread - Bills at Steelers
2003Contenders replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Except, Patrick, what if Hoecht and Oliver had remained healthy? Meanwhile, Bosa has played the last couple of games one-handed. I won't even count Jackson since he hadn't shown much prior to his injury. I have a lot of problems with personnel decisions that Bean has made, but I give him credit for TRYING to fortify the DL in the off-season. -
Probabily true, but, I don't see that in the cards.
-
I truly hope you’re right! But I been waiting since week 5 for the Pats to lose a game.. and they keep finding ways and do just enough to win.
-
Can we get to a point where we enter the postseason only down Oliver and Hoecht of note? Everyone else can/should come back this season. Keeping anyone healthy seems impossible on this team, but getting guys back and ready for the playoffs, even at 80-90%, should be the goal. Everyone who is playing is banged up this time of year. It is what it is. I think it was last year or two years ago, Maxx Crosby was a terror down the stretch in meaningless games. Day after the season ends, gets surgery. Biggest issue, aside from just getting there, is developing any continuity down the stretch when we have the most fragile team I’ve ever witnessed. I just want to see this team in the playoffs, for once, without massive injury excuses. And if they can right the injury ship, only down Oliver and Hoecht, given all the other investments on defense, that is not an excuse in my book. Get your Pick #40 actual inside reps. Rest Bosa if you have to, get him healthy. Plant Bernard on the bench until he’s healed up. Sit Spencer Brown until the playoffs to get that shoulder as healed up as possible. See what Coleman can do in the slot over this mini-bye by giving him reps so we can rest Shakir some, who’s clearly hobbled. Theres no point in making the playoffs if you’re going to destroy your players to do so. Because OP is right, at least in the AFC… 10 very flawed teams are competing for playoff spots right now.
