  2. It’s what helps keep the fans engaged. During the draught it was fantasy. Now with Buffalo playing all time slots. Makes the other games more exciting. Full Sunday slate leading into the Bills game is an absolute treat to watch. Little fantasy football, little daily fantasy and a little prop or parlay helps build into the Bills game. That is why stand alone games get so many views compared to everything else. That little more excitement added to an already exciting sport only helps its viewership. The books working with leagues makes the ability of players or league employees to make money off it extremely difficult. Likelihood of a scandal is very low. Yes, gambling can be an issue for some. No different than drinking or smoking.
  3. Sounds like fun, but not practical for me in Tampa. I’ll be up for a game with my boys.
  4. I dont see any indication that Pegula is in any urgency to sell the Sabres... let alone sell them to an outside interest who would relocate the team. Also, he stands to make like $100 Million-Plus for each of these upcoming expansion teams. I do wonder if he had a local off-ramp to rid himself of the Sabres, if he would take the money and run. He does seem to like acting like a hockey executive though and getting his thrills with further ruining the franchise. However, this arena situation is coming to a head and something needs to get done. Arenas in the Keybank Center's age, which were more expensive and nicer at the time are getting major upgrades one after the other. Washington is getting a $500 Million upgrade. Nationwide Arena in Columbus (which is younger than the KBC) just had $400 Million in renovations announced. The Keybank Center is in desperate need of some major updates and will become an increasing black eye for NHL as far as arenas go. Who will pay for it? I dont think the State has an appetite for the political baggage of another major arena project for a failed team who wont spend to the salary cap. Pegula is taking a beating on the cost of the Highmark project and on some level he probably thinks the public owes him for that one. The County seems to be distancing themselves. Many/most Sabres fans wear this armor that the Sabres can never move because the NHL saved them in 2002-2003. Different times. Keybank Center was only 6 years old. The NHL's franchise values were low and fans in the seats were more valuable. Non-traditional markets across the country have taken off since then and have proven staying power (Nashville, Florida, Dallas, Tampa, Carolina, Vegas, and Seattle). NHL teams are now worth more than $1 Billion. Golisano bought the team in 2003 for $70 Million. In my opinion, without a lease and the building the way it is, nobody involved in the NHL would shed a tear or try to prevent the Sabres from moving to a more appealing locale.
  5. Surprised they got rid of Jonnu . He seemed to be key piece in that O and turned his career around Extremely odd
  6. Assuming the books aren't already entirely cooked. As terrible as the officiating has been the last few seasons, they are absolutely opening themselves up to that idea. League is fixed, winners are known -> NFL colludes with massive gambling interests
  7. Yes, Dolphins drafted Fitzpatrick with 11th pick in 2018 and traded him to Steelers in 2019. It was different head coaches, but same GM, Chris Grier, who made those moves and this one. I’d be surprised if McDonald and Grier survive this season.
  8. Im in the movie! (lamp)
  9. Steelers must know something. Minkah might just be Minkanht
  10. While you are determining what ways to appropriately honor pride month with Finding, be sure to remember that obscenity at public pride parades isn't happening. Additionally, while you document what isn't happening while it's happening, it's really just proof that you deny the existence of gay people while gay people are existing and doing things that they never do. Furthermore as if we needed more proof that public obscenity at pride parades isn't happening..... X prohibits embedding of the tweet below which is simply just the final nail in the coffin for those denying the existence of gay people https://x.com/ThomasSowell/status/1939729393485500480?t=dLtzypRG9oxWH4lrYky-Fw&s=19
  11. Many, many years ago, Jimmy The Greek (a supposed expert) used to give out picks before NFL games. Seriously, he probably guessed wrong on 75% of his selections. People could have made a ton of money betting against him. I wonder if there is money to be made betting against Bradshaw and other announcers. If they know who has the best chance to win, I strongly doubt that they would share it with the public and cause the odds to perhaps change.
  12. I don’t understand this trade other than personality and cap management. Steelers likely got maybe better in the secondary. Ramsey at this point is debatable better than Slay or Porter. And a step down at Safety. got a much better move TE with Smith so that helps that offense. mia got worse. Added a malcontent into the safety room with a lot of young depth. Lost their top CB with zero other real boundary CBs on the roster and lost their TE1 that actually was highly effective for them after years of looking for an effective TE. Mia got worse here and Steelers treaded water. historically good FO in terms of talent e v a l in Steelers vs Historically bad FO in talent e v a l Mia. Mia just made their team worse. Get ready for more force feeding of Tyreek as he demanded this offseason.
  13. You're not exactly painting a picture of a young woman getting run down by a Dodge Challenger.... Justanother day in a peaceful university town.
  14. Fitzpatrick either isn’t an impact player anymore or he was criminally underutilized in Pittsburgh. I think this trade makes more sense for Pittsburgh— at least you have three lock down man corners and a good rush.
  15. If only these teams had a competent QB they might have a chance.
  16. Steelers moving on at the right time, adding two guys that can immediately improve their roster. Dolphins adding a decent safety, but with a hefty price tag. I think the Steelers won this trade.
  17. As long as we have Josh, we’ll be fine. Besides, the Fish are weak in every way.
  18. I saw a study somewhere that indicated that the increased money spent on sports gambling mostly came out of savings/investment That's a bad trend.
  19. Specially when they are already deep in the Safety with young talent. Then have nothing behind Smith or Ramsey.
