Charlie Kirk: In His Own Words

Easy enough thing to avoid and I am less concerned about the fines which (as folks have pointed out) do not really have much of an impact on player salary and go to charity, but more concerned about when those end up as 15-yard penalties during a game wiping out long gainers and scores. I recall Kincaid did that gesture last year on a critical 3rd down conversion and I was just cringing waiting for the yellow hanky. Dumb rule or not, it is on the coaches to get players to play within the structure of the rules and to strongly discourage "the dumb" of self-inflicted penalties. Especially ones where the in-game penalty call seem largely at the discretion of whatever referee crew we end up having during a critical game as those calls tend to be the momentum-swinging kind that drive me nuts.

Bills Defense, will it get better as season goes on
HamptonBillsfan replied to North Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills must start lighting a fire under Rousseau, Sanders, Epenesa, in order to get after the QB. with someone not named Bosa.If they can’t Babich should throw in a few corner blitzes like the Chiefs do. The advantages derived out of sacks and QB pressures are huge in the NFL. Without QB pressure our secondary is exposed. It’s hard to believe Tre has stood up as well as he has through the first 3 weeks. He obviously struggles against speed receivers on crossings and vertical passes. Bishop is mostly out of position or making tackles 20 to 30 yards downfield. Benford, Bernard, Milano and Rapp have all made plays but these guys are all balls to the wall hard hitters and tend to get dinged. Our depth is not great. I can expect Hoecht and Ogengobi along with Hairston to provide solid play when they settle in but Oliver is the most important player in that his pressure opens up opportunities for edge guys. -
That’s why they play the games, and also why the circus still travels the country to entertain the masses.

If they draft Arch Manning, they’re going to continue to suck 😂 -

Not a memorial. Just a Nazi hate rally for a dead fascist. -

It depends if the cons on SCOTUS and in congress stand up for the constitution. So far they have not and that's why we are warning people of the possibility. That, and the fact that trump has said such multiple times. This entire disgusting charade is only tangentially related to kimmel. It's about trump destroying free speech. -
Plus he coached at LSU...

Haha, I'm sure it's already circulating there. I saw this on reddit I believe. -
I do wonder if Brady will be "picky" with a head coaching spot or not? There's only 32 of these jobs and only 4-9 usually come open a year. But not all opportunities are good ones either. Ben Johnson after 2023 was red hot but he came back with the Lions and now he found himself about as good a situation as he could in the Bears (young QB with 3-4 years left on their rookie deal, good cap space, solid draft pick position, and not bad talent overall). Brady was in the mix on a lot of coaching spots but never seemed to be in on the "better" opportunities. Long ways away from that but fans can't help but speculate.

Wonder if were tinkering with philosophy, since we brought in a few new coaches with different scheme backgrounds. Could be were seeing a learning curve from some of the guys like Benford, Milano, Bernard. Honestly I cant confirm or deny, complete speculation... but would make sense -
I doubt he is getting fined for this. I will say that the amount of fake AI news on social media (facebook in particular) is out of control. I know we stopped trying to fact check the internet, but it is getting out of control.

The League's Top Ten Coaches All Ought to be Fired

That sounds like one of us. Just sayin’. Actually, I was hoping we could follow in the footsteps of the immortal Barry Switzer, as long as we are going with the Flukey History category. -

I know I know, it's just those unreasonable Bills fans who think that's McD achieving the same pinnacle of success that Rex Ryan did with Mark Sanchez is disappointing. -
I think he talked **** about the quality of pizza in Buffalo so pretty egregious

Tyrod Taylor always smoked the Dolphins when he was on the Bills. It would be amazing karma to have him end McDaniels illustrious Dolphins career with a statement win. -

billsfan89 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they lose next week and go 1-3 they would have to beat the Jags away (not an "easy" game but one they "should win") and win against the Lions at home another game I could see being a 50/50 knuckleball type game. Getting to 3-3 is going to be key for them. If they go 2-4 that's a big hole and their schedule does not let up. They have to play the Bills away, Colts at home has suddenly flipped from a reprieve to a tough game, Broncos twice in what could easily be a split, Chargers at home, and Commanders at home. Granted they do have some games where they can "get fat" on. Raiders twice (although the Raiders being better coached makes them less of an "easy" out), Titans, Texans (suddenly an easier projected game), and Cowboys. If they can win those 5 games and get a few of the other tough ones they could get at least 10 wins and at worse make a wildcard.
