  1. Past hour
  2. He's a heartless real estate mogul who works so hard that he has forgotten the Christmas spirit and hasn't been to a Bills game since the drought. She's a 3rd generation antique shop owner who is on the verge of bankruptcy. He feels bad about neglecting his mother again for the holidays and decides to kill two birds with one stone by visiting the antique shop he's hoping to acquire for pennies on the dollar. She helps him find the perfect item: a framed picture of Steve Kristie's game winning kick in the greatest comeback with his mom and passed father in the crowd. To keep up his hectic schedule, he rushes out the door and gets hit by a car on the street outside. But who just happens to be there with an AED to revive him but Damar Hamlin. Just then an unexpected blizzard strikes and they have to spend time together. She teaches him that real tailgating starts at 8:30am, he diversifies her portfolio with a focus on investing in companies with female empowerment. Damar gives them field passes and they hang with Josh and Kate Bishop. Credits roll.
  3. It might be time for us to draft a new QB by then. Josh is only under contract until 2030! 😲
  4. To the first highlighted, they didn't score on two drives of 4 down offense to lose those Chiefs games. In the imaginary world where clutch doesn't outweigh what you do in the first 50 minutes or so of a game then it only seems WORSE when you can't score when punting isn't an option and the defense is playing with their tongues hanging out. The closing minutes of a close game are where you see what people are capable of when they are fully invested. Clutch is everything because it's the only time when the vast majority of the people involved know the full consequence of not going all out in that moment. Human nature creates as many close games as a similarity in talent. Coaches coach themselves into close games, player effort/focus tends to fluctuate in the mundane moments of games. If the talent is close the game will usually be close at the end. It's why performing in the clutch earns such respect. When everyone is going 100% the best men generally make the plays and win the game. Difference makers. I do feel like they lost some ground to KC on paper. I think they finally got a LT. I think they are getting more dynamic offensively around Mahomes. Rice blew up in the second half of his rookie year and was on a 1400 yard pace when he got injured. Worthy was ascending rapidly and was great in the AFCCG and SB. Difference making talent. Baltimore got better in the draft too. They didn't have to draft for need like Buffalo, which bodes well for their result. And no, on paper our pass rush is not better. Ogunjobi and Hoecht did not have productive years rushing the passer. Von Miller was a much more efficient pass rusher than Bosa in 2024. History tells us not to expect much from second round DL talent as rookies. They got more name bodies and swapped out a seemingly washed up HOF'er for a younger but also seemingly washed up Hall of Very Good(but always injured) player. A lot has to go better this year than it did for these guys last year for it to be "much better". Not sure how you can assume it will. The secondary might be better if Max Hairston is really good. Who knows if that's the case. You have to anticipate continued decline from Taron Johnson. Tre White and Dane Jackson were trash in 2024 and fingers crossed that Benford's concussion issues at the end don't carry over because if he's not excellent again the secondary gets a lot worse. Agreed that the offense didn't get better. They had career years from Allen(decision making, protecting the ball), James Cook and the entire OL(health). It is unlikely to replicate those performances so they will need other players to step up to maintain.
  5. Royal With Cheese for everyone if we win the Super Bowl!
  6. If we can do a little better in vertical passing game and sure up secondary we should be good trying to outscore cinci is what scares me
  7. Sure was! The game that made him famous before the game and tweet that made him infamous.
  8. Speculation is that Buffalo could get the 2029 draft. Denver was in the running for the 2027 draft, which more likely means they will get the 2028 draft.
  9. Was going to say this one. 2014, the Bacarri Rambo game. Jordy Nelson dropped a sure-fire touchdown and we sacked Rogers later that drive. That was my first-ever regular season home game at the Ralph and it was a blast. Here’s one from that same season - Bills/Bears Week 1, 2014. Fred Jackson has a monster run/stiff arm in overtime to set up the game-winning field goal.
  10. Gotta go with a game I made it to Buffalo. There was a game years ago we played Philly at home. Close game, came down to the end and Bills forced Philly offside so they didn’t have to punt the ball back. Stadium was loud as *****!
  11. Was this the “Why So Serious” game?
  12. Oh yeah, Erie County is littered with flea bag motels. I’m sure the draftniks from Sheboygan will love it.
  13. I have nothing to contribute to this thread, other than that those years were rough.
  14. My counter is that the offense wasn't good enough in the playoffs last, so it stands to reason it won't be enough this year, given what little Beane has changed (let's assume that, yes, some players will improve but others will disappoint or get injured, as happens most every year). Last year, it got bailed out by the defense against Baltimore and failed on its final drive with the game on the line. In other words, does it matter that the offense didn't turn the ball over and scored lots of points if they keep losing in the playoffs? We're so used to blaming the defense that we forget that Diggs dropped that pass, Bass missed that field goal, Dawkins missed that block, Kincaid didn't make that kick, and pretty much no one showed up against the Bengals. The facts are plain: The offense hasn't been good enough.
  15. Every time a thread like this comes up this is the first game I think of. Th results of that season notwithstanding, the feeling in the crowd for that opener was one of the best I remember being a part of.
  16. This YouTuber did the Bit o Paris down the Boulevard as well, seems like a good place to stick Deshawn Watson
  17. Absolutely, let’s be civil. I don’t think our offense is going to be any worse than last season based on the changes made. Only thing on paper now that could negatively affect things is if Cook sits out, but I don’t see that happening. Of course, you can’t predict injuries and such. I am intrigued by the changes on D. I think we’ll be stronger up front, about the same at LB, and the DBs are going to be a battle. Yep, agree on all counts. Can’t wait for camp to start.
  18. It is, but even the best QBs, which Josh is, need good skill position players. If our defense turns out that way that will be great. This type of argument goes round and round in circles tho. “More weapons will help more.” “No a better defense will help more” I fall more on the former argument because I trust Josh to get more out of talent than our coaches. But quite simply we needed improvement on both sides of the ball. The defense got overhauled this year, hopefully we have enough on offense too.
  19. Unless Josh gets hurt, I don't think we'll be worse than last season. Depending on the performance of the FAs and draft picks, and there are question marks around all of them, we might be better. I'm hoping Brady continues to improve as an OC, particularly in scheming a downfield passing attack. In other words, I have no special intuition or expectation for this season, but - as always - I hope for the miracle.
  20. I am hoping so... but I am interested in SVP to see if he gets more time this year...
  21. It would not surprise me at all if one of the "bubble" players end up on the IR with a hamstring (or something similar) to start the season.
  22. The only N that counts is Super Bowl wins, as Josh Allen is always saying, and that N=0. Great that Hollins and Shakir exceeded expectations last year, not so great that Coleman and Kincaid did not. I'm sure this year, too, some players will step up on offense and some will not. I'm hopeful--I'm always hopeful--that this year is the year they go all the way. Could happen. But I think Beane's improvements on defense won't come to full fruition until next year, and I don't think his tweaks on offense amount to more than treading water. Note: This is about when the ad hominen attacks usually begin. Let's try to keep it civil, ok?
  23. 'Wry wit'...try saying that three times quickly. 🤔 * And, we're on to the veterinarians. 😁 All I can picture is Squiggy (from 'Laverne and Shirley') saying "unclean...unclean..."
  24. I don't agree with the prior Pope's stance on immigration. I think it is nice to want to help migrants but they went about it the wrong way. By opening the border to EVERYONE they allowed for human trafficking and drugs which is EVIL
