I read his column every week. Normally ex QB's will defend the QB. You listen to Romo or Brady and it's usually someone else's fault, not the QB. But this is the 3rd week in a row that he placed a good chunk of the blame on Allen. Last weeks column, he even even tended to say, the issues isn't the WR's getting open, the problem is Allen isn't throwing to them when they are open. This week he's placing the blame more on Allen and Brady for sending everyone long. Fat Harold, go long!

this feels like an annual work bonus being announced, and its a pizza party... I hope he does well, and helps the offense. Still think this is the last gasps of a GM and HC on their way out end of season....

Give me a healthy Kincaid, Cooks and Shakir and I like our offense a lot better. I think Palmer and Coleman will benefit by a vertical threat. Finally, Beane has done something.

THIS 1000%! I've been saying that Joe Brady is a bigger problem with the passing game than the lack of a #1 WR. I have no idea what McD can do to change this, as the Bills are still in the hunt. What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is a failure to communicate. Is a Greg Roman clone, with a great run game and a horrid passing game. This team is missing a guy like Brian Daboll to set up the passing game plan/scheme.

Let's also pretend even with Josh at his best we had a sub par running game before making Brady OC.

Exactly why I focus more on what I'm watching (the eye test), than stats and metrics. The passing offense is clearly struggling.

Speaking of which, I don't recall a single blitz into the 3rd qtr. basically when I quit paying attention. This staff has no thirst for innovation or being ahead of the curve. Put Fox inside of Bosa....Put Greg inside and Solomon outside next to him. McD has me convinced he will never change. There's no reason we can't play a 5-2-4 against Pitt. It would be a great time to dial it in.

I know the big question is whether he can get caught up in the offense enough to be able to play on Sunday. It's a big ask......there's a lot to learn. He'll have to get his 5-10 yard mesh routes down. He'll have to make sure he can catch a WR screen behind the LOS......not just on the left side of the field, but the right side of the field as well. And, most importantly, he will have to make sure he can take an end around hand off, preferably without fumbling and making sure to get at least 3 yards out of it. Let's face it....it's a complicated and difficult task to perfect this offense. I mean, it took like 5 games before our opposing defenses got it figured out and mastered, and he doesn't have a long to time to understand it himself. He's a vet, though. If he puts in enough work.....at least an entire afternoon, he might be able to figure it out eventually.

We sign a middle tier FA, whose history is better off in the slot. We call it good, watch the team struggle in the first half of the season. Trade for Cooper. The following offseason, we sign a middle tier FA. We don't add anybody else. We triple down how good we are. We watch the team struggle the first half of the year. We can't make a trade. Then we sign a middle tier FA. Beane, you suck. Who cares when it's against the scrubs of the world.
