  1. Past hour
  2. This isn't about one game, one missed call, or are current record. Even if we won that game we'd be having the same conversation. Our combined opponents are now 5-15. The teams we beat win total combined is two. Four of the five games were at home. The Dolphins and Saints in particular shouldn't have been that close. All the previous problems that causes us to lose in the divisional/championship rounds the last five years has been on full display this season despite our 4-1 record. On the defense it's shaky run defense, poor tackling, an average pass rush at best, a lack of athleticism in the secondary, and an inability to get off the field on 3rd downs. We have a really good offense but not having that number 1 WR you can rely on to get open in a need to have it situation is missing. You saw it in full display with Diggs playing out of his mind on Sunday night. I understand the retort is Diggs never rose to the occasion in our playoff losses. However, that doesn't mean another WR1 wouldn't rise to the occasion. I don't think Pegula will fire Beane or McDermott. However, I'd get rid of them both if we have a fairly healthy team come playoff time and lose in a similar way to the previous five playoff exits. The sample size is big enough now. I don't know if the new staff would be a downgrade or an upgrade but we can't keep spinning our wheels.
  3. I think we are still forcing our hand to play the best players on the field vs the players in their best position. We did this to ourselves having 2 TE's and a up and comer. I'm excited to have talent but we need WRs. It'd be perfect to put Coleman and Shakir as double slot WRs with at least 1 real wide out. Maybe Palmer can do that but if we had 2 exterior WR's with Coleman and Shakir inside we space out the defense so Cook has even more room to run. Instead we have a hodgepodge of TEs that can do 1 thing well each with Knox being the most complete TE. They take up a position on the field that isn't quite good enough to be a WR and not quite good enough to be a fb or ol. If we just had a viable outside runner with legs & gas we could scheme.
  4. Im all about Addison, but one of these need to be the move. Figure out the fit and make an offer they cant say no to. Addison team controlled for 2 years after this year, $2.5M cap hit if acquired this week. Full route tree, plays like Diggs. Hes proli ready to be a #1 and not play second fiddle, and get a real QB. Theres a little diva kicking around but nowhere near the amount thats untenable. Addison can pair up with Josh the rest of his career pretty much, im absolutely fine paying him whatever he wants when its time. Kid has been a stud at Pitt, USC and Minny. Let the guy help us get a ring!! Minny might not be ready now, but theyve already kicked it around last year, they cant pay him, and a few more weeks closer to deadline with Wentz and theyll be ready to move some pieces. We should all be rooting against Minnesota every week!!!
  5. The problem is that you don't just need a #1. Any team with a #1 also has to have a very good #1b or #2. Like Higgins in Cinncinnati, Addison in Minnesota, or Smith in Philadelphia. It's too easy for defenses to take one guy away. That's why the Jags spent all that capital to get Hunter even though they hit on BTJ the year before.
  6. "Our D is getting pummeled this year and when we face a good team like the Pats and the Falcons, it's gonna be a long night." - No worries. We're watching the film and adding ex Bills players to the practice squad. Got it all under control. Please forward to McDermy and Babich. They might not know this.
  7. Since 2017 exactly 1 team has more wins than the Bills, that is the Chiefs. That includes a season when Tyrod Taylor was the starting QB and a season when Josh Allen threw more INTs than TDs. But I'm sure YOU know more about winning strategy than Sean McDermott does. Thanks for your wisdom. The team would be lost without you.
  8. I don't care how good our current are, or become, I will always say we need a true number 1.
  9. I’m a retired MD and I wonder if he might have sudden onset of a herniated disc since there was no obvious injury and out of the blue he is put on IR
  10. In 2019 they moved Jefferson into the slot where he exploded. The scouting report on him had concerns about whether he could win outside.
  11. So Thursday is a new Wednesday since we play on MNF?
  12. What we saw Sunday, is that you can just man up on those WRs and focus on everything else. Josh had the most time of any game this year to throw but guys couldn’t get open. The Pats have good corners but so do a lot of teams. How often are the Bills WRs better than their opponents DBs? Lol, that might only happen during practice 🤣🤣
  13. Tell that to the great Howie Roseman.
  14. He of course projected highly, but it’s hard to tell based on the NFL talent surrounding him what would happen at the next level. Would he be good, or great? There is no sure thing in the draft, and it’s no lock that the high flying circus would continue without the surrounding cast. Context is important, he was not just a one man show. “What made the 2019 LSU offense so special? Joe Brady turned the LSU offense into a heavy pass machine that no one could stop. That season LSU's new high-powered offense averaged 48.4 points per game, scored 40 points in 12 of their 15 games, while breaking every record. Joe Burrow had very good weapons at wide receiver named Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase.Apr 4, 2025”
  15. My back-of-the-napkin math has that at ~42 million cap hit to have two low-round rookie QBs.
  16. Are you saying that Bills getting a game tying FG with 230 left is a difficult task? Time didn’t run out in that game, they ran out of downs.
  17. This post will age like fine wine... Revisiting this in the future will be great fun...
  18. Lots of other teams pay high priced WRs and have a highly paid franchise QB. That’s a cop out
  19. McDermy and posse watched some film. Not sure if it was on the Falcons. Maybe Gone With the Wind (based in Atlanta for you young kids out there). So we don't prepare for "the Falcons". We go with our generic game plan (aka The Process). Falcons get over 150 rushing. McDermy and Babbi-***** are shocked. Will need to watch more film over the bye week. Maybe sit a few players for the next game for some odd reason. 4 and 2 and behind the Patriots. Hate to say it but this team has shown nothing in the way of improvement. Teams are not scared of the generic game plan. Good game for Atlanta to improve on some stats. Oh, and Beane looks to see if there are any ex-Bills players not on any teams to add to the practice squad. All is good.
  20. walker is a good bull rush away from being a 5 tool type player, and if we get our ish together and have hoyt and bosa rotate at DE, groot and epenesa at the other, oliver and TJ at 3, and DQ and walker at 1 tech, we might have the best pass rush since shwartz
  21. It's true that no one could have known what JJ would become, but it was clear that anyone who followed him at LSU, knew what he could become. In 2 years at LSU, 2,415 yards with an average of 14.6 and 24 TDs. There was a lot of potential just sitting there waiting for us to make a move for him and we went with Diggs.........UGH. I see it as just one more blown opportunity that could have put this team over the hump.
  22. Thats alot of money to be bad
  23. i think the concussions and such have him scared. remember the non angles he took on henry in week 1? he's just not an nfl level safety at this point.
  24. October in Berea!
  25. And I don't know why. The Texans also play a base 4-2-5 defense and play even more zone coverage than the Bills. It's not like Poona Ford, who has done better as a NT in a 3-4 on both LA teams. (for the record, I had to look up all this info on other teams' base defenses.)
