  1. Past hour
  2. Our WRs are inadequate. Our defense smells of homeless arse. Our coaching is comical. Our drafts picks have been embarrassing. We'll be lucky to get a WC game. Just watch.
  3. McDaniels? Never going to happen...
  4. Just realized billsy has posted 6.5 THOUSAND times in a little over a year on his new account
  5. (from the interwebs...) NFL teams are required by the league to be honest about player injuries, and failure to do so is a violation of the NFL's Personnel (Injury) Report Policy. Teams must list all players with reportable injuries, even if they are expected to play, and provide specific details. Penalties for non-compliance can include fines, suspensions, or loss of draft picks What NFL teams must report Any player with a reportable injury: This includes all players who have a physical injury that could affect their availability. Specifics of the injury: Teams must be as specific as possible, including the body part (e.g., "left ankle" instead of "leg"). Injury status during practice: Even if a player practices fully, they must still be listed on the injury report if they have a reportable injury. In-game injuries: Teams must report injuries that occur during a game as soon as the information is available. Illnesses: A player's illness does not need to be disclosed unless it limits their participation in practice or the game. Consequences for not being honest Fines: The team and coaches can be fined for non-compliance. Loss of draft picks: The league can penalize teams by taking away draft picks. Suspensions: In severe cases, players or coaches can face suspension.
  6. With his winning record, if McD gets fired by Pegula, someone else will hire him as a HC. He'll be a HC coach long enough in this league to see some of his subordinates become head coaches. In that sense, he'll have a tree. But I think the idea of a "tree" means a bit more than that. To me a coaching tree means a coach who mentored and influenced his subordinates who later on exhibited that influence when they were head coaches. Bill Walsh comes to mind. I think the coaches under McD might be influenced by his "process" and culture. But his tree will lack any distinctive, original X and O tactical stuff. To me, that's not a true tree. McD is just another branch in the Reid tree.
  7. If he did it would look like this
  8. Bills 33 Panthers 16 I respect what Carolina has done, but we're good off the bye, and I think the offense rights the ship this weekend and gets back into 30+ territory.
  9. We won’t know for sure until they tell us but he’s out of the red no-contact jersey he was in 2 weeks which is promising.
  10. If you change your head coach, you're probably also changing most of the coaching staff. And you're probably changing either the offensive playbook & scheme, or the defensive playbook & scheme, or both. So I do think it's pretty much a binary choice: Keep McD or blow it up. Saying firing a head works sometimes is arguing by anecdote and isn't valid. I can give you other anecdotes. For example, after the 49ers fired Harbaugh, they collapsed under Tomsula. 11 head coaches with winning records were fired during the SB era. Only 2 of the teams involved posted a better record in the first two full seasons after the firing. Only 1 team won a SB within 3 years. Firing a winning head coach isn't generally speaking a good idea. Coach | Team | Record at Firing | Pre-Firing Win % | Post-Firing Win % | Super Bowl Win ----------------------- |-------------- |------------------|------------------|-------------------|---------------- Tony Dungy | Buccaneers | 54–42 (.563) | .563 | .625 | ✅ Yes (2002) Marty Schottenheimer | Chargers | 47–33 (.588) | .588 | .563 | ❌ No Jim Harbaugh | 49ers | 44–19–1 (.695) | .695 | .313 | ❌ No Lovie Smith | Bears | 81–63 (.563) | .563 | .500 | ❌ No Mike McCarthy | Packers | 125–77–2 (.618) | .618 | .625 | ❌ No Mike Shanahan | Broncos | 138–86 (.616) | .616 | .438 | ❌ No Tom Coughlin | Giants | 102–90 (.531) | .531 | .375 | ❌ No Brian Billick | Ravens | 80–64 (.556) | .556 | .500 | ❌ No Wade Phillips | Cowboys | 34–22 (.607) | .607 | .500 | ❌ No Mike Smith | Falcons | 66–46 (.589) | .589 | .438 | ❌ No Jeff Fisher | Titans | 142–120 (.542) | .542 | .438 | ❌ No
  11. the receiving core just may very well be the same as the Atlanta game Palmer -out Kincaid-limited on Wednesday Samuel -limited as well They better get Cook more involved in this Offense.
  12. You mean the teams he has sucked as the OC with?
  13. With what we've shown over the past 2 games, it's hard to believe we're legit contenders either. If I were a Panthers fan and watched the Falcons do what they did to us, down 2/3 of their Top 3 WR's, and knowing that the Panthers shut them out 30-0 when the Falcons were healthier - I'd be feeling good about their chances too.
  14. There is no way. He is not a great coach. Just got lucky to have hit a homerun in getting a unicorn 🦄 for a QB and a very bad division after Brady left. Dont see him being a head coach much longer in Buffalo. I think Daboll falls under the Belichick tree.
  15. 34-17 Buffalo. The bills have lost two games in a row the last 5 years, and they always bounce back. This current regime is 8-0 after the bye. Bottom line, they will play better.
  16. Coaching trees would be Holmgren Reid Belichick who else?
  17. And possibly DL too. With Sanders and Carter already on IR and with Jones likely to follow, we are once again very thin at this position. And when the season ends, your IOL may see a big change too with LG and Center becoming Free Agents.. The Bills have a lot of holes to fill and not sure they have answers to all the pieces....They simply have too many overpaid players who are NOT delivering....and that includes Knox, Spencer, Samuel, T. Johnson, Bernard, Benford, Groot. The only players who show up are Allen, Cook and Oliver...But that is not enough I think he just signed a long term contract
  18. 21-12 Bills Go get 'em, Anika!
  19. Oh hell, 18-13 Carolina.
