  1. Past hour
  2. Guy I knew from college was in the same situation on the GGB some years back. Unfortunately, he did jump.
  3. Very sad story and I'm really sorry that he didn't get the help he needed like others in this thread. I'm so glad others in this thread are still with us and still fighting!! Go Bills !
  4. As many here know, on the trade value charts a 3rd is more points than a 4th plus a 5th so yes, the Bills theoretically could have done something like a 4th, 5th, and 7th... and that would have left them with just 4 picks in the next draft.
  5. If Baker and the Blaze come up empty here then they've joined the likes of Politico in my book. We shall see.
  6. McBeane have always said, "football games are won in the trenches." Though they've had their share of misses on the D-line, there's no question they've invested heavily in both lines and we're starting to see that practice pay off.
  7. I'm guessing it was from "an abundance of counsel from trusted parties within and outside the government"
  8. Terrel Suggs was sort of similar to Hoecht in that he could play both DE and LB and his strength was as a pass rusher. He tore both of his Achilles' a few years apart and came back from both as pretty much the same guy. He was also a freak of nature though. 🤷‍♂️
  9. Niners GM John Lynch on the trade deadline: “We weren’t going to get fleeced,” Lynch said on KNBR, via 49ersWebzone.com. “We weren’t going to overpay. It’s just not good business. And, as they say, sometimes the best deals you do are the ones you don’t do. And I felt like, in this case, we felt like, as an organization, that was the best course, and as I mentioned before, we have a lot of belief.”
  10. Question for you or any others in the thread with an informed opinion. Is it more likely he returns in a shorter timeframe and/or closer to his pre injury abilities than a DB like Tre White? Tre seems unlikely to ever return to form. They both utilize their legs differently of course. Hoecht doesn’t need the same agility as a DB perhaps, but he needs power from his lower body. Any TBDers know of other D lineman that returned from the same injury?
  11. Didn't Hoecht only play 2 games and now Bills fans sing folk songs about him around the campfire ?
  12. They have options. Allen had his typical 2 game mid October skid where he reverts back to rookie Josh Allen and has happy feet, throws off a bad platform, bails out of clean pockets and doesn't take what's there but looks for more. Kinda like last year in Baltimore and Houston games. Now we will see normal Josh Allen the rest of the way. The only team that really can beat the Bills are the Bills.
  13. He played for us for so long, for no reason He’ll be back mid season next. 6 game suspension this year, 6 game PUP next
  14. You could be right. My definitive wording of "only" was probably a mistake. Though it is possible that their focus is on the highest possible pick they can get over accepting a pick that they perceive to be of a lower value plus another pick. But ultimately, even if that idea is correct in a vacuum, I think trading a 4th and a 5th in 2026 plus a 4th in 2027 is a worse option than just beating it with a 3rd. Three picks for a half year of a player like Rashid Shaheed is madness.
  15. Those are Collinsworth's nephews...
  16. I have a funny feeling he'll be back and ready to play next fall. Achilles treatments have advanced alot recently.
  17. I think there is so much more potential on this and while I realize I'm a bum sitting on the toilet with my thoughts and Brady is a professional sitting on the coaches chair with professionals... I think we can do better. We like tight formations but spread our OL out wide. We don't always do this but we create large run lanes with our blocks when we do or let Josh scramble through more open windows when he must. With these tight formations teams pull their defense in but we don't have the speed to exploit it / do not take advantage of it. Several times in 12, often 22 (with Gilliam), or even 23 packages we can put someone taking the top off the defense and complete short passes. We could go back to the RPO we are capable of or just play action. Our running game is going to get us the furthest in the playoffs of all the things we do and protect the defense. However, we have to show the ability to pass deep and scheme the zones open. If anyone has the stats I'd like to see what defenses we are seeing predominantly, man vs zone and coverage calls because I have seen far too much man on the WRs and single high coverage to be happy. Quinton Morris is in Jacksonville
  18. Gilliam and Hawes have been excellent this year. I am waiting for a play action run fake to Cook with Gilliam being the lead and getting behind the defense for a big gain at a critical time.
  19. I'm sorry, but what's the point of this? Why would anyone want to spend time in there when the game is on?
  20. Yup I mean just in this thread what 8 to 10 guys have come forward with stories already or their issues. I’m sure there are many others who don’t care to or are afraid to share their issues. It needs to be normalized when it comes to men. A kid I worked with was going to be a pharmacist and was training to do it, seemed like a good kid, joked around a lot, just one night took his life. There are plenty of of other examples like Kneeland of people who seemed to have bright futures or were rich and it didn’t stop their internal suffering
  21. Guess they have Gilliam confused with Quintin Morris.
