  1. Past hour
  2. There’s no justification for punching another guy no matter what happened during a game. There’s some growing up that’s needed for anyone to think that’s ok. Yeah, that Toney Offside game was not a good moment for him for sure. But I don’t remember him punching anyone. Were there other instances that I’m missing?
  3. We need 30. Birds will play ball control with run game. We need to get to 14 in first quarter to prevent this. First quarter is key.
  4. This is just bush league, but expected. These guys play dirty and then try to shake hands after the game? I love what branch did. Thankfully he isn’t on the Bills— but all of America can thank him!
  5. Ah, that one. Which do you think is a stronger indicator of an agenda...a missed call or 15 flags? Of course it "seems" like KC's always on the right side. Because every controversial call/no-call is magnified by millions of people, and every call that hurts the Chiefs is ignored/celebrated. You have to at least acknowledge a bias, right? One of the best examples of hater bias was the game in ATL last year. Falcons had a chance to drive for the game-winning score and drew three huge calls on their final drive, at least two of which were weak. Penalty yds accounted for practically the entire drive. The post-game Twitter narrative? "Did you see that egregious no-call on Atlanta's 2nd to last drive?? Another obvious fix!!"
  6. Your username conflicts with the implication that Josh is no longer fun to watch.
  7. maybe this is why Branch was pissed off? Mahomes certainly handles losses (like the Toney "Offside" game) well and maturely.
  8. I’m all for playing young players and have them learn on the field then watching washed up has beens. And yeah I don’t really give a ***** if he knows the playobook. If he can’t make the plays it’s pointless. When McD took over this team he had to let the young players play because there was no one else. A lot of them became the backbone of the team for years. Now for some reason almost every young player can’t be trusted and we’re either holding onto or bringing back these guys that were once the backbone but are now way past their prime. Hard to improve that way. It’s more of a steady decline, which is what we have seen with this D
  9. I can't take anyone seriously that actually doesn't see that KC gets treated differently than any other team in the league. It's obvious, and it's been so for years now. That being said...Detroit was pathetic yesterday on defense, and they weren't good enough on offense either. My issue will be when and if the Bills play the Chiefs in the playoffs, will we get screwed again? I would assume so, but this team has to take care of business and secure the top seed to make KC have the toughest path with no rest. I also think Denver will be a problem for KC and the Chargers have already shown themselves to be a problem as well. Buffalo can definitely put themselves in a much better position to face them if they get their ***** together on defense
  10. I took Mahomes’ quote to mean during the game. After the game they can shake hands and move on. Some guys just aren’t able to do that.
  11. Even this isn't true. There is collective amnesia amongst Bills fans about the 2021 and 2023 regular seasons. In 2023 (two seasons ago, you know, the season where we lost to the Broncos and fired Ken Dorsey), the Blls were 6-6 after the overtime loss in Philadelphia and that NYT playoff simulator gave them just 19% odds of even making the post season. The division was out of reach, unless Miami did stupid things like losing to the Titans at home (which they did). Even at that, it took a Kadarius Toney toe and a punt return for a TD in week 18 in Miami to win the division. In 2021, the Bills were in a tailspin with blowout losses to Indianapolis at home, the wind game, and that damn Jags game. They were 7-6 after losing in Tampa, and had to win out to win the division. The Pats led the division until we beat them in week 16 (the day after Christman on Thursday Night Football, the Diggs taunting the crowd game).
  12. Those 2 have a combined 13 tackles and 1 sack this season-yeah, they’re really crushing it
  13. Jairus Byrd was really hoping for that spot
  14. Zero chance you can name a WR on that team playing tonight other than London. I know I sure can't.
  15. It's far too early to tell on the 2024 draft class. I think you usually get the best sense of how good or bad a draft class is by year 3. Keon flashed his rookie year but then the injury derailed it. Year 2 he's not been bad, certainly up and down but to me the jury is still out on him. Cole is coming around hopefully he can lock it down as a defensive starter and Ray Davis can turn it around as a backup RB as he showed some nice play his rookie year as a good role player. I also think SVPG and Grable are nice later round finds and hoping Solomon can turn it around as he's looking like a JAG. The fortunes of that 2024 class hinge largely on Cole and Keon developing and getting some production from the back end picks. If Keon is a solid outside WR, Cole a good safety, SVPG develops into a starter and Davis and Grable are good role players/backups that's a nice draft class.
  16. This is not acceptable. You have a unicorn at QB in his prime, and you can't even field a moderately good defense. I thought our coach is a defensive genius? Also, why do DTs like Ford and Settle do so well elsewhere? The Bean / Mc Clappy combo is failing, and Josh.
  17. so what you’re saying is… Season?
  18. I would join the ranks of the "fire McDermott" crowd if he hired that guy as OC.
  19. I think the issue heading into that draft was that Beane was most concerned about the limited number of draft picks on hand and doing whatever he could to acquire additional ones. In particular, he was dead set on re-acquiring the 3rd rounder that he parted with to acquire R. Douglas during the prior season. That desire to add picks is also what precluded him from making any kind of trade-up that many of us were clamoring for to get into the range to draft one of the top 3 WR prospects (Harrison, Nabors, Odunze) or even BTJ, who fell into a reasonable trade-up position. So, if that was his goal, then he managed to achieve it by two modest trade-downs and picking up a 3rd and 5th rounder in the process. As much as I love the many positive things that Beane has done for this team, I must admit that he has begun to sour on me a bit. Part of that is due to his seemingly inconsistent vision for building the team. At times, he seems obsessive about acquiring draft picks -- at other times he seemingly throws them away for questionable move-ups in the draft. It is interesting that he appears to have done better with late-round picks than he has with the earlier round picks. I wonder if that is indicative of perhaps the coaches and top level executives having had more say in those early-round picks (see; Elam) over the scouts who have earned their money by identifying the late-round and lesser known gems like Benford. The interesting thing is that it's looking like neither Worthy nor Coleman is a great 1st round pick, which may make Coleman's ultimate 2nd round selection easier to digest. Worthy's speed was obvious -- but there were definitely concerns about his hands, skepticism about his ability to run a full route tree and his ability to physically hold up for a full season. Meanwhile, Coleman's lack of speed and ability to separate are the reason he was not drafted in the 1st round. Those concerns about both players have already manifested themselves in the first two seasons. Obviously it is early -- and there is a chance that both players could eventually evolve. The interesting thing about Coleman is that he does possess that prototypical size and physical ability (especially given his basketball background) to emerge as a classic "West Coast" style receiver. The problem is that Brady is not utilizing him in that role. Rather than getting the ball to him quickly on slants, bubbles, etc. and relying on solid YAC, they are more often throwing jump balls to him and trying to get him the ball downfield, which does not play to his strengths, especially given his inability to separate. Perhaps Coleman is not doing what he needs to do to best understand route concepts, etc. For example, if he and Josh could develop better chemistry (especially on busted plays) that would go a long way toward improving Coleman's value to the team. Let's also remember that Coleman is young -- and given comments from the coaches, it sounds like maturity is very likely an issue. Whether he gets past that is up to him. Getting back to Beane's obsession with re-acquiring that 3rd rounder given up for Douglas... Never mind that that 3rd rounder he eventually obtained resulted in D. Carter, who now appears to be a bust!
  20. I’m sorry to hear that you’ll be at the game
  21. I guess you didn’t watch the game? Trevor Lawrence threw a pick at like the 10 yard line where his WR got knocked clean off his feet when he went to make his cut. Also there were other weird ref things in this game. - Lawrence fumbled at the one inch line, (Not a bad call per se but lucky for the Chiefs bc the refs wouldn’t have overturned whatever the call was because it was so close). - KC scored a TD on third down but had a flag for OPI (probably was a legit penalty, contact was 2-3 yards from the LOS). Mahomes yelled at the ref and then they picked up the flag. Terrible optics. It isn’t just about raw flag count/yards. It’s about impact, and KC always seems to be on the right side of things.
  22. To bad when throwing up a 50/50 ball it seems like a 25/75 with Keon
