  1. Past hour
  2. Do you remember a couple days ago when you told some they weren’t very smart and immediately followed it up with a typo? That was awesome. If you don’t remember, I can dig it up. Let me know.
  3. I believe Ralph did meddle in that era. Ralph ended up firing Wade Phillips because Wade wouldn't obey him. Thank goodness Pegula does not meddle. The zeitgeist against Flutie was he didn't have a long game. I don't know if you can win a Super Bowl that way.
  4. An expected response from someone like you. Try reading a book once in awhile.
  5. The ruling of illegality had been stayed, has it not? The Supreme Court will be weighing in later this year, correct? I’m going to wait and see what they say. At least what 8/9 say. We already know how one justice will rule. Do you think that’s ok or should I get riled up because that’s what you are doing? Either way.
  6. So the economy is doing good......thanks!
  7. It's a message board tough guy.......
  8. I believe you meant “you’re.” And you want to abolish the Department of Education.
  9. I met them (Josh and Sam) on Wednesday at the ACC (and Josh’s mom too) and will make a post about it a little bit later. Amazing experience
  10. Unable to answer a simple question as it may lead to cognitive dissonance of recognizing that Dear Leader may have broken the law, the MAGA is observed resorting to its tried and true tactic of whataboutism: distracting from the question at hand to redirect the conversation to something completely unrelated, hoping that nobody will notice its cowardice.
  11. Looking back at the MCM game wasn't it Ralph Wilson who wanted Rob Johnson to start instead of Flutie. Flutie had that "it" factor about him that he would find a way to win the game no matter what. That Bills team had a great defense. I wonder if they would have stayed with Flutie at QB could they have won the Super Bowl that year.
  12. Yes, I completely misread your comment. I thought you were asking “do you support Muslims making death threats over cartoons” No, I misread Al Bundy’s comment. I admit, I do struggle rectifying my beliefs in liberalism and freedom of religion with the fact that many world religions are anti-liberal.
  13. He’s been better recently. He is finally going in on housing development by signing two bills gutting CEQR. He’s also seemed to wake up on the homeless issue by allowing more police sweeps and mandatory rehabs. He’s also done stupid stuff like host a podcast with Steve goddamn Bannon. He needs to learn that moderate republicans don’t exist anymore and he doesn’t have to share air time with borderline neonazis to appeal to the other side of the aisle
  14. Oh...! If we're not careful, this thread could deteriorate into a Doug Flutie versus Rob Johnson debate. Those were some dark days.
  15. Current Bills for sure. QB is everything in the NFL. Way better coaches now, too.
  16. Ewunions, what would we do without them...
  17. I think it’s been interesting to look at the Rams. Folks thought them loading up for multiple SB runs from 2018-2021 and jettisoning a lot of picks meant the dark days were coming. In fact, they saw 2022 as the beginning of the end with a 5 win record (Stafford was hurt). The facts of the matter is that the Rams both went “all in” and remained competitive. They had a down year once. But since 2017, that has been their only year with a losing record. Would the Rams have won any way if they didn’t trade all their picks? Maybe. But it’s bird in the hand. If our next 5 years look like the Rams last 5, I’d take it in about 2 seconds. 2-15 is not really on the table.
  18. I guess I am one of those tight wads, the baseline comparison for me are the above average RB who make about 5 million a year--Ray Davis is an example, making $1.2 million a year. Ray Davis isn't as good as James Cook, but he's still pretty damn good. So I'm looking at great RB making 14 or getting a pretty good RB making less than 5. When you only have $95K in open cap (https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/overview) you have to give some serious thought to being a value shopper.
  19. Yup. Good answer.
  20. A coffin?
  21. Give me the Lombardi trophy 24-7-365 and I will live through some tough years while rebuilding. Now that doesn't mean I want to go through decades of crap football like Jets fans have. But if the Bills have to go through 5 tough seasons after winning the Super Bowl before becoming a good team again. Sign me up for that.
  22. Most American's couldn't tell you the name of the Prime Minister of Canada, the major import/exports, the political structure, political parties, the make up of their parliament, the GDP, contributions to NATO, the largest city, ethnic makeup, history of indigenous people, their approach to immigration, or who Tim Horton was. Liekwise, most Canadians likely know very little about the US and how everything operates. That's not apathy, or indifference, it's just that most people live their lives on a local level. Certainly, most would hope for the best for our neighbors to the north, and I certainly do. Like many in WNY, I spent many summers across the bridge with Canadian family members, travelled and camped in Ontario, and got the obligatory car tossing on the way to a concert in Toronto one year at the PB. We'll get through it, we always do.
  23. I realise that we’re supposed to clown on this thread, but I want to respond. Cook didn’t hold out! He was a full participant at Minicamp and isn’t causing problems in the locker room. He’s making social media noise, which annoys fans, but he is going to play regardless. For this season, this is a non-story. Do I wish that it was a WR who was so good that he had outplayed his contract and was making harmless noise for more money? Yes. Yes I do.
  24. I am thinking no....but just because your neighbour, once friend is untrustworthy, and lies, and threatens does not mean that you should. Let's just build the fence real high, and whether we deal with China, EU, SA or even Russia, non of your business...they are no less trustworthy than our southern neighbors (neighbours). We know trump is going to threaten 51 again, and create some phoney excuse to intervene...it is what untrustworthy bullies do. Enjoy the beer and your Corvette. Screw the waitress.
  25. So, you’d be happy having one good year and 5 lousy years? I’d prefer to enjoy all 6 seasons to some extent. To each their own. The Jets SB victory brings no joy today to anyone in their right mind, and that was an historic game.
  26. We've been over this. Donating to the general fund is a drop in the ocean. Won't make bit of difference especially with this admin. The deficit requires systemic tax and spending reform to make a dent. This admin is taxing less and spending more while worsening the deficit. And no, it's not just "the others" that must pay more. If the recent bill didn't pass, I'd pay more as well. I was firmly against the bill knowing that I'd pay less. That's not totally selfless. I want other Americans to have access too health care and other social programs. That helps me by lowering the crime rate and lessening the risk of communicable diseases, not to mention providing easy access to ERs without waiting hours to be seen. Cuba was fantastic trip. The Cubans have many serious problems and the gov't is inept partly due to the embargo but also due to their flawed system. It's valuable to me to see a very different culture and the regular people are amazing. Their history is one of massive exploitation which is extremely difficult to emerge from. Many other caribbean islands face the same challenges under democratic govts. Jamaica, for example has massive poverty.. Would you discourage the millions of Americans that go there to abstain? Tourist dollars are a lifeline so tip well if you go. My golf club is not exclusive. It's accessible financially to a large swath of folks. It costs less than owning and maintaining a pontoon boat. We have members from all walks of life and races unlike the clubs in WNY that had "blackball" policies when I was growing up. I fear we are returning to those bad old days. I still play public courses as I did almost exclusively as a teen. Regular players at those courses can play ours by walking up and paying a greens fee. There are clubs where this isn't so. I'm not a member of those. So keep believing I'm a limousine liberal. You're incorrect once again. I too want a better America and Im willing to pay what it costs. So is Oprah and she'll pay much more. meanwhile
