  1. Past hour
  2. I'd counter with 1 first rounder & AJE. I don't know if anybody is willing to give up 2 firsts just for the right to make Parsons the highest paid defensive player in the league.
  3. I never thought the NFL would leave Buffalo (at least at that time) given the leagues rules for owners to try everything to stay which included a city building a new stadium which per league rules meant the owner couldn't leave. Toronto sucked but LA always felt more like the real threat if they would go just given the open spot there. Ironically my view on the team leaving changed in 2014 even though Pegula had the team. If you read the details on St. Louis with the Rams they did everything by the book for the NFL to keep the team and was needed to block an owner from moving... and the NFL still let it happen. Chargers & Raiders never had real stadium plans so that wasn't a surprise that they would leave those markets, but St. Louis by the leagues own rules did it right and the NFL let em go regardless to the point the Rams & League are paying St. Louis back. Once that happened it open my eyes to the NFL not really giving a sh*t regardless of history market etc. People talk about Green Bay and how they wish more markets could do that, but the Packers are a complete pain the a$$ for the NFL because they do not have the goal of max money because they are community owned. The last thing the NFL ever desires now would be another market having that type of reach given the oodles of money Owner owed teams bring in and can get out of markets.
  4. On Get Up this morning in a segment called "Mike Tannen-Bombs" he offered 2-1st rd picks and Ed Oliver for Micah Parsons. Would you make that deal?
  5. I don't think replay got any of them wrong. None of them were clear and obvious mistakes to my eye. It comes down to officials spots on the field. That is where the error was. It's almost impossible to win those spot call challenges.
  6. wolf pup is easily amused. Always laughing out loud. They're cute when young but become vicious predators that hunt in packs
  7. Tylan Grable still in the concussion protocol
  8. I could give the officials a pass for one of those spots as I thought they were extremely close and I think they actually went with the spirit of the review rule. BUT, they consistently spotted us short all game leading to several 4th and shorts that shouldn't have happened, giving the Chiefs more opportunities to prepare, and the officials haven't been bothered with the "clear and obvious" criteria in years and frequently overturn calls over a blade of grass level of precision. How do you not give us one of the tossups calls?
  9. Im with you when everyone was saying 10-7, 9-8, and yes there were a lot of people on this board saying that, I was like the Bills are winning 12 games minimum. When you have a guy like Allen you’re always going to be in the picture. Did this team transition , yes that’s true, but transition doesn’t necessarily mean the team is going to be worse
  10. McDermott said that the performances today may impact how much players may play on Sunday, on a case by case basis, where others will need reps no matter what. “Bass moving in the right direction. Taking it one step at a time. Trying to be smart. Avoid setback.” ”Curtis Samuel is important, missed all of camp. Urgency is there at this point. Availability important, references special teams if you aren’t a starter.” On Sanders and Walker: “See the ability, have to develop techniques and become consistent.” Interesting McDermott calls Palmer “Joshua” and Allen “Josh”
  11. He isn't guaranteed a jersey on gamedays right now. It looks like Solomon is firmly ahead of him and will make up the top 4 with Groot, Bosa and AJE. They generally dress 9 DL and so it probably comes down to whoever the 5th DT is (maybe Carter?) vs Jackson.
  12. It is funny because the WR corp is probably a grade of B at best... but the floor is also decently high and someone is going to be cut who will go somewhere else and do relatively decent.
  13. Exactly. Or it would’ve been the Pete Carroll situation allover again when fans/media crucified him for not going w/ the most obvious call, running the best power back in the NFL at the 1 yard line. McDermott went with the obvious & correct call. The officials didn’t do their job and spotted the ball incorrectly. It wasn’t even a debatable call like the Music City Miracle. With all the angles available, Refs could’ve easily pieced them altogether and determined a 1st down. But yeah. The Chiefs “wanted it more.” The Bills “deserved to lose.”
  14. I disagree. I always thought last year was a mini reset year. Not rest and reload, but definitely the turning of a page on AllenBills v1.0. That wasn't to say it was a free hit, or the Bills didn't try to win. They did. And they were darn close. But I always felt it was more about the growth of the guys in that new core..... Cook, Benford, Shakir, Brown etc... I think that happened - all four of those guys took a step forward and I feel better about the Bills chances going into this year. I always say Superbowl teams generally have 3 to 4 elite players and the Bills last year going in only had one. I still think absolute bona fide it is one right now but I think Benford and Brown in particular are right there on the cusp. If they can take another small step into the company this year then by the post season I think the Bills might have what you need elite talent wise. It wasn't that the window was shut in 2024, but it was open less wide than in 2021-23 and less open than it is this year too IMO and looks to be for the next 2 or 3 years too.
  15. Yeah, who needs to stop crime when you have the epstein files!!!!!
  16. see what you did there? Probably not
  17. This is where you declare that criminals actually commit their crimes at a much lower level than non-criminals who don’t criminalize, I think?
  18. I had a suspicion it might be a grove sort of gathering place. Many a WNY business held company picnics at such venues. Steve Cichon profiled Liberty Park in 2018. https://blog.buffalostories.com/torn-down-tuesday-cheektowagas-liberty-park/
  19. Yea I can’t say I watched him specifically as I was much more focused on the interior Dline but when I did notice him his stuff in college tape looked mighty similar to what I saw on Sunday. I think he’s gonna be a guy who pops during some games and then disappears during others at least early in his career.
  20. Allen will win 2 Lombardis.
  21. Thank heavens you have weighed in with this pearl. Nobody has posted anything like this. Profound!
  22. Even though you are consistently wrong about EVERYTHING, I trust you as an economist. Can you explain to me why we should trust UMich? The data below makes it seem like they are the collegiate equivalent of you.
  23. I know it’s cliche, but the window is open every year Allen is healthy and in his prime. I didn’t think for one second that 2024 “rest & reload” year. Allen got screwed on the MVP in 2023 despite having 15 more TDs than the winner. So there was no indication that he was going to slow down. The reasoning for the down year was because of Diggs leaving. I feel like that was a narrative driven by the national media more so than fans. We all know who was more responsible for the others success. And sure enough Allen won MVP and Diggs spent the season rehabbing. I’m with you as far as the Bills being a true contender this year, but I don’t think they are head & shoulders closer than they were last year. They made some upgrades, but a lot of them are rookies not expected to pan out until a season or 2 down the road. Buffalo is largely returning w/ the same roster as last year albeit with a little more experience.
