  1. Past hour
  2. They have no principles. Other than they're against the libs. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. Delete "exactly" and I agree. They aren't conservative. Tariffs, taxes, state ownership of tech companies, censorship of things that piss them off, not consistently law and order. They're angry populists who, for the moment, lean right on social issues. A lot of them easily could be Bernie Bros and lean left without really missing a beat on the economic issues.
  3. But but but, he got a 6th round pick right! So many bad contracts signed, it’s insane, but Beane is a God and don’t you dare say otherwise or you will be burned at the preverbal stake here.
  4. Seems like you’re in dire need of reciting the preseason pledge: “THOU SHALT NOT OVER REACT TO THE PRESEASON”
  5. You wanted more inflation, more expensive food, exploding electricity costs, tax breaks for the rich, and more taxes on middle class Americans? Weird. Are they the same ones who want state ownership of companies like Intel? You should know. I disagree with the former. Tariffs are taxes. The whole thing is friggin stupid. Inflation is rising, electricity is rising, food is more expensive. Not to mention the continuation of tax breaks for the rich. MAGA talks the talk, but caves to the country club set to get things done on the fiscal side in the end. The latter comment I agree with completely.
  6. Special Teams is a fair concern going into the year. Between these points as well as an untested punter, they seem primed to have another “whelming” season for that unit.
  7. My thoughts: 1. Trubiski is the clear #2, and if Josh goes down we’ve got trouble like pretty much every other team with a great WB 2. O line: There is nothing from camp saying Brown has a lingering concern. He didn’t play much in preseason like every other starter. And we have good backups in Anderson, Grable, and maybe Lundt. 3. If we’re worried about who our 4-6 WRs are that’s a good problem to have. Shavers should clearly be on the roster; he is this year’s Hollins. Shakir should be ready opening day, Coleman had a great camp, Kincaid and Knox are ready, and we have three RBs that are adept at pass catching. Plus the reigning league MVP at QB. Not worried about the pass game at all. 4. Safety: It will be Rapp and Bishop. Rapp is solid and you have to put the young players like Bishop on the field. We were all somewhat spoiled by how great Hyde and Poyer were together. 5. CB: if White is out for awhile I expect Beane to bring in another guy. But I also think Ingram can provide decent play there. 6. Returner: I don’t expect either Shenault or Coddrington; they’ll have Davis or Johnson do that. Shenault May have a shot. 7. We added a ton of talent to the D line. The two rookie DTs look like they are going to be a big help, and Bosa looks healthy. Plus I think Babich is going to use more blitz packages. We should get to the QB more and that will help the DBs. And the increased talent at DT should help the run defense. 8. Bass looks like he has recovered and has two weeks before the first game. No problems there. i don’t see any reason to project gloom. We are a talented team and should have a great shot at the Lombardi.
  8. Agree. Beane says he will "never apologise" for spending a lot of his capital $$s and picks on the DLine. But to the same degree he can't then give us a sob story about how hard it is putting pieces around Josh or having something resembling NFL level safety play "when you are paying your quarterback"..... it's all choices. Brandon makes his. We will have to live and die by them. EDIT: although just to be clear he won't actually be on the books for the next three seasons. Once his contract voids after 2025 the money accelerates into 2026. He actually counts $2.5m dead cap next year and then is clear thereafter. But your principle point stands.
  9. Agree with all this except Trubisky. I think he has been fine. He is a middle of the road NFL backup Quarterback. He won that job pretty convincingly to my eye. But all the other concerns are concerns I share. I'll add return game too where neither Shenault or Coddrington has really separated for me.
  10. Well, you're doing a good job saying it now. You put your finger on the question that more sunny posters here are ignore: not whether the Bills do something, but whether it was enough to produce a better outcome in the playoffs than the past seven years. I share your concern, to the extent that my hopes for the season rest pretty much entirely on Allen and the offense. I think the defense may win a few games for the team via turnovers, as they did in the Baltimore game, where they were otherwise overmatched. But for the most part my hopes for a Super Bowl appearance/win rest entirely on Allen and the offense. Not a whimsical hope, I might add.
  11. Are we sure this is the same Jordan Phillips and not the one that was drafted by Miami in the 5th round of this year’s draft? Many people don’t do any research and make wrong assumptions. I saw where people assumed that Lonnie Johnson Jr was the son of the Bills former tight end but in fact he is not. If this is really our lovable retread, I believe he would only be signed to fill in while our 2 new veteran defensive linemen serve their 6 game suspensions. But, what do I know? 🤪
  12. User name does NOT check out.
  13. Today
  14. Unfortunately a lot of them “work” in the nation’s capital.
  15. Agreed on the other names listed above, but would add Bill Fichtner. He’s a proud and loyal Bills fan.
  16. Moore did one Return all Pre-Season and didn't do much of it during Training Camp. Coleman hasn't taken a single return since becoming a Bill. Khalil Shakir is dealing with a High Ankle Sprain and just got out of wearing a Boot. He may suit up for us Week 1, but I don't think they're going to push him to do Returns. With the new rules this year, Kick Return is going to be very important. While I understand the concept of wanting to fit certain positional players into the depth chart - I don't think this regime is the type to go "we'll figure it out, just throw someone back there". Brandon Codrington, Laviska Shenault, and KJ Hamler handled pretty much all of the Return game during Training Camp and the Pre-Season. I don't see a way that they cut all of them. Likely, Codrington won the gig and is the one that sticks. Even last year when no one impressed them on Returns, they went out, traded for, and rostered Codrington specifically for the role. And the Return game was negligible last year compared to this one.
  17. I have 2 issues with the above: 1) When Mitch was in Pittsburgh it was with Canada as OC and it was hilariously bad for QBs. None of the QBs played well and guys that had been there got worse. With the o-line and lack of creativity, Mitch looked just like all the other QBs in Pittsburgh. He will be fine for his role here. 2) The reason they don’t draft many QBs is because of roster builds. They do not want a QB that needs time to develop taking up a roster spot and they are correct. The Bills keep 2 QB on the roster and want a starter and a guy they can insert and hold on to a win if required. They also want an experienced QB that can talk with Josh and they can see what the defense is doing to make adjustments. People would lose their minds had the Bills wasted a 5th rd pick on a guy like Milton just to cut and try to put on the PS. If they are going with a young QB, they want an UDFA or 7th round guy that can go to the PS and develop and they have that in Shane. The return also hasn’t been worth it. Milton and another player were traded for a 5th rd pick that was barely 20 spots in front of where he was picked. NE lost value overall on the trade and although they have drafted several QBs since near the end of Brady - very few have even netted anything close to the draft capital and has been an over net negative.
  18. Coleman or Shakir. Coleman did it in college and Shakir did it last year down the stretch. Ty Johnson will be the KR
  19. Dude out here hitting like Sean Taylor, RIP sheeesh
  20. Duck, thanks for forwarding, and my Dad just turned 95 yesterday. I still can’t believe he’s as mobile as he is, but admittedly, he’s slowing down. He’s one of the OG Bills fans.
  21. Thanks TB, and used to be sizable, now just a middle aged guy who still works out 5 days a week. I’m sure Simon is a beast. BTW- Buffalo Barbarian was a Powerlifter as well. I haven’t heard from him in quite awhile.
  22. Agent 47 is a wise , old soul I was partying, chasing women at 25 , can'timagine how crazy i would've gotten with his $ , I try to give back now at 35 but still party.. This dude is special
  23. or the beautiful throw to Davis to take the lead with 13 seconds !!!!
  24. What I was trying to say (and probably did a bad job) was how have we improved from the AFCC to now....Are we in a better place to win (we already compete) against the chiefs in the most important game; TC and Pre-Season did not provide any positive (except for the plays by the two defensive rookies and addition of Hoecht). Is this WR better than last year to compete with Mahomes and Jackson. Is this ragged DB good enough to defend against Mahomes and Jackson. Does this DL have the chops to stop the run and get off the field on 3rd downs. For me, the TC and PS did not provide that good feeling that we have indeed improved in these critical areas. Concern is - Did we get to see the improvement in the talent to win against the Chiefs and Ravens in the post season.
  25. Or fly him in a helicopter from his home roof directly to Highmark stadium (special landing). He makes his speech and then gets back in the chopper back to his home. I am sure Pegula can arrange for that !
  26. How the hell do the 49ers have a cap space of 47M in spite of paying a top QB and a top DE salary !!!
